JY has quite amazing variation in tone and range in his voice. Although he's probably best known for his rock/metal gravel, growls and screams he can be extremely light and smooth if the song calls for it - and although he's more bass/baritone he can also hit some surprisingly high notes. Something like his cover of "Kiss From A Rose" with Caleb gives you a bit of a glimpse into what else he can do - and his cover of "Don't Fear The Reaper" with Violet Orlandi (on her channel) is a VERRRRY different Jon! JoYo has a version of The Phantom of the Opera main song, but the point where the Phantom urges Christine to make her choice is in the last song, when Raoul is in the lasso - the "love me and he lives, or reject me and he dies" scene. If I recall correctly, the Phantom's words are "You try my patience! Make. Your. CHOICE!" Unforgettable in the Original Cast version. And I think what JoYo impersonates here is the classic devil - the elegant, cunning, eloquent tempter, seemingly nice, but bad to the core. Here, everything is planned and utilized, from the mad laugh to the soothing bass. On the other hand, there's "Be Prepared", where he is impersonating a system* trying to kill the king. *system = persons with multiple personalities.

Your comment about the Phantom of the Opera reminded me; if you have not heard Nightwish perform the Phantom of the Opera song with their old singer Tarja Turunen (found in youtube with the title 'Nightwish Phantom of the Opera Official Live, the singer wears a yellow dress in it), I very much recommend you listen to it, and I'd love to see your reaction. All of them are collaborations with Malinda Kathleen Reese whose style is a bit outside your norm for this channel but I do highly recommend checking her out, both her serious covers and her alternate channel Twisted Translations where she puts songs through Google Translate and they turn into unintelligible messes

As much as I know people might hate on me for this comment, this is basically a more deranged version of the live action Ursula. Not the animated Ursula. The reason why i am saying this is because in the live action movie, Ursula kills her victims. In the animated version, she just turns them into polyphs. In the live action version of poor unfortunate souls, the person playing Ursula even sings the song in a lower key similar to this one, making the song sound eerie and ominous.
