Dang it! Gotta wait till Monday to see how she did 🙂. This is exciting, I love going down the track. That's pretty cool you was able to make the intake manifold work that your dad found. Nice dang drag rims man!
Back in the 80's there was a company that advertised " hemi head conversion for all B - RB engines ". I called them up and wanted to know the cost to do a 361 . The guy on the phone said " no , you want a 440 ". I said " no , I want to build a 361 , I can't find a 354 or a 392 but I know where to buy a 361 ". He put me on hold forever and when he got back on the phone he was really mad , told me I was a moron and hung up the phone. I later learned that this conversion was only available for 400 or 440 , lol ( and I ended up finding all of the early ones that I wanted anyway ). But I'm glad that I'm not the only one who likes the 361 B engine. I believe that there is a Mopar 350 B engine as well but I can't remember at this moment.
The early 361 is a hidden gem in my opinion. Forged bottom end, good displacment, great compression ratio, dry intake and compatability with all the B and RB parts. I'll make this 361 sing or blow it up in the process 👍
@@TruckandTravel Their advertising was wrong. The conversion heads were only for 1 bore size ( 400-440 I believe are the same ). But it was not for " ALL " B - RB engines . I found my 392 and that is what I really wanted . But yeah I hope the guy I spoke to at Stage V found another line of work along with their advertising.

The guy on the other end of the phone was an idiot, poor customer service. Word of mouth is the best advertisement for or against the shop.
