You don’t dare touch a masterpiece of a song like this - sure a live cover version - but a recording? How can you come close to doing the original justice? This group and this rendition somehow went over and above what any fan of this song could’ve ever expected. Wow what a magnificent arrangement, vocal performance, rhythm section and solo. More please! You got something special going on here. And how we need it!
Hey Cameron, so glad you got to hear this and I'm with you, a real potential to do damage. But what a tune and I just had to get in there and do little rewiring. I LOVE this song and the way it came out....thanks again, Peter
Hearing Jimmy Webb's song Wichita Lineman as sung by Glenn Campbell with a great arrangement and cool guitar solo always makes me nostalgic. This beautiful rendition arranged by Peter Sprague and sung by Rebecca Jade gives me chicken skin and brings on the tears…WOW!
Everyone was magnificent that night! Maybe because it was my first time hearing him, I was absolutely blown away by Mr. John Opferkuch! Dang man, he killed it!
Just saw Peter and Rebecca perform this live. Wow! It was always one of my favorite songs - always made me cry - but I just LOVE this arrangement. It brings out her amazing pitch and his guitar virtuosity. I'm now their biggest fan!
Hi Sharon, great that you were at the concert and so glad you tuned into the vid too. Yes indeed, great song, great Rebecca, wonderful feeling! onwards and upwards!
Hi Gregor! Thanks for listening and thanks for the positive comments. Yes, what a song indeed and me too, I love the way Rebecca sings. Take good care, Peter
Billy Joel did a really cool analysis of this song. It’s on TH-cam. Glen did such a great job on this masterpiece. Something about his ability to convey the spirit of the American working man. That being said, your rendition of this is wonderful. Fantastic vocals.
So beautifully done! I love the treatment- this is one of my all time favorite songs, with a hauntingly beautiful symbiotic relationship between lyrics and music. I think Jimmy would like it- has he heard it? I had the good fortune to meet him at a show several years ago. Interesting video recording format- would love to learn more. Thank you, Peter and Rebecca and company for this treat- very well produced! (I am a professional musician and I give online lessons too, btw)
Hi Rebecca, thanks so much for your kind words and for listening to the song. Me too, it's one of the best songs ever! I'd love for Jimmy to hear our version, heavily influenced by Metheny. Keep on singing!
Goosebump city is right! John Opferkuch on piano and that moment in the song, 2nd verse, “and I need you more than want you”, that hits me every time. A true tear jerker!

Beautiful version, you all! Rebecca kills it!
Thanks for the listen Delene and I'm with you, Rebecca Jade's on fire!
Man...I just discovered Rebecca Jade recently. She could sing the Alphabet song for me and I would be happy 😊
Thanks so much for the listen and me too, totally dig Rebecca Jade!
I failed to mention how much I love this rendition. Peter Sprague is new to me, and I love the flavor he brings to music.
Glen Campbell in 1967!! This song was all over am radio in 1967!!
Fun and thanks!
Yeah Rebecca!!
Nice !!
I first heard it played in this manner by Alan Pasqua. This captures that same sweet vibe, only better with the vocals!
Me too, Alan's version blew me away! Thanks for checking out our version...
❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👏👏👏
Graci'

She gets that thing that Glen Campbell gets. Really places the senses where they need to be...out on the line...emotionally real...thank you!
Dig it... out on the line is right!
Serene. A poultice.
This song has been in my mind a lot lately, not even sure why... Thank you. Goosebump city. Beautiful piano, too! Who is that?
