@@matprotium1205 The WTA has found their new cute White woman to give confidence and momentum to, Iga, giving her such easy draws after her Doha win. There are certain low seeds who would give Iga trouble in early rounds and the WTA know this so they put those other players in the other draws. I will never condone Iga as a legit champion until the WTA plays fair with EVERYONE instead of favoring Iga. Barty was the True #1.
At the semist at Miami, they kept calling very close-to-the-line shots by Pegula OUT (they did the same at the final against Naomi) and never replayed them on video, but only after it had discouraged Pegula and Iga seemed to have the momentum did they start showing close-to-line replays. YES: THEY ARE ALL (umpires and lines people) INVOLVED BECAUSE POP CULTURE STUPIDITY IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE DESIRE TO BE A PART OF and Iga is their new champion to support, even if cheating for her.
This is for the halfwitted fans: of course she would have to face tougher players in the semis and surely the finals, but seeing how she's been handed the momentum and confidence by WTA, the other top players are played with their minds. WTA know this. Cheats, bias and prejudice is what they are.

Yeah, sure, she lost because of this and not cause Bencic is a WAY better player (just compare their respective careers, records, stats, before telling me I'm wrong or that Jabeur has a better ranking than Bencic right now).
It's soooo tiring to see ALWAYS sore loser with bad excuses instead of being fair-play in defeat... specially after the worst crowd ever spoilt me 2h30 of what was supposed to b a great day for me.

@@b.willisfederer8720 yes Bencic is a great player but I believe Ons would have lost to a lesser player as well. Beat Annet somewhere before SF last year but lost to her in finals. She is nervous to win

    • @b.willisfederer8720
      @b.willisfederer8720 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@hashworld9836 Yeah, maybe, but any player loses many many times in her career to way worst ranked players, that's normal, u can't always win.
If u take the list of players who beated Federer in career, 99,99% of them r waaaayyyyy waaaayyy under him in the talent department obviously.
And u know, Bencic has now won 6 WTA titles, but she also lost 9 finals, so, she neither always is able to conclude a great week.
Some players even played 10-5 finals in their life without winning even 1.
Jabeur didn't play so many finals, and I know she won a title, so, she isn't unable to conclude, it's just that she felt on greater players in the other finals, PERIOD, and even if u r her greatest fan on Earth, u gotta accept that, like I do for Bencic, saying she's a GREAT player, yes, but far far far far away from the best ever.
It's not what I wish, it's tough to digest sometimes, but it's the simple truth.
I'm curious, which other players r u a fan of?
      Mine r:
Federer, but if u didn't guess seeing my username, then, I can't help u.
      🤣😂😜
Wawrinka, the other swiss guy, the only player with Andy Murray to have been able to win several (3 each) Slam titles apart Fed, Nad and Djokoshit; or NovaX Gotcovid as I found funny to name him recently.
And no other guy, except Agassi if I add retired guys.
      Girls:
Bencic, Golubic, Teichmann, Halep, Kerber, Kenin, Cirstea, Anisimova, and I think I didn't forget any.
With Federer, Wawrinka and Golubic, we have 3 swiss players having an one-handed backhand, which is pretty rare nowadays, and even more in the women's tennis, and their 3 backhands r said to b the best, prettiest of the world.
To conclude, from the past, I was fan of Bacsinszky (maybe the kindest player, liked by everyone on tour, always smiling and fair-play, even in her worst defeats), Kournikova, Sharapova and Clijsters.
But the player I miss the most (very often) is the G.O.A.T., Martina Hingis.
Bencic is often compared to her because of her style of tennis, and that's very logical as Hingis' mother coached Bencic all her childhood (Hingis and Bencic r from the same swiss city, St-Gall), and Martina herself often coached Belinda as well.

Congratulations Bencic. She throughout the tournament demonstrated just how good fighter she is, she also demonstrated just how good she is at finding ways out of difficult situations. Both played amazing tennis. Belinda Bencic now on clay too will be very dangerous opponent. Throughout this tournament she played like a true champion. Amazing performance by Belinda Bencic. This match could have gone either way, but Bencic won in the end. Belinda Bencic simply was mentally bit better than Ons Jabeur. Throughout this tournament Belinda Bencic became better and better on clay court. Ons Jabeur also played superb. In fact both deserved to be crowned as champions of this tournament, because they both played great. They both showed in this match why they gotten to the Final. Both fought hard. Perhaps Belinda Bencic's better experience was the deciding factor in this match or maybe Belinda's stronger desire to win this match, who knows. Both ladies played great. Awesome fight by both players. And nice hug by Ons Jabeur at the end of the match Both are such great tennis players. Pfew, finally us, swiss fans, can see another title for a swiss player, after the olympic champion title of BB last august.
During so many years, with Federer, Hingis, Wawrinka, Schnyder, Bencic, Bacsinszky, and most recently also Teichmann and Golubic, we were used to see at least a title for a swiss every 2-3 weeks, so, 8 months without one... seemed like an eternity.
But Hingis, Bacsinszky and Schnyder retired, Wawrinka didn't play since an entire year, Federer played like 10 matches in the last 2 years and no one since 9 months, and they both will probably pretty soon retire maybe without being able to win anymore title, so, BB, JT and VG, let's go girls!

@@michawu4401 Iga, Badosa, Sakkari... these are the most favourites but there are a lot, as the one above your comment said. Just because Iga is World #1 and have won 3 wta1000 titles in a row doesn't mean she can't be defeated and that she's going to win every title of the year... I mean, she's probably the best right now in WTA but look at Badosa for example(second best player in WTA in my opinion right now). She lost the Charleston quarter finals match vs Bencic 2-6/7-6(2)/6-4, so a really tough match that could have being even won by Badosa in straight sets if she had won the tiebreak, and she didn't play a good match(very far from her real level), probably because she wasn't still fully recovered from what made her retire from Miami and she couldn't be at her 100%. (I give this example because is the last one that happened of a match not being well played and being a tight match till the end that I can remember). What I want to tell you with this is that you shouldn't assume that Igga is invincible, because Badosa, for example(and this is just an example), can win her if she's at her 100%

      @@nachoj3150 - yea, right.
I just expressed my opinion in my comment. I support my compatriot with my whole heart! So young, so mature.
What’s more, clay is Iga’s favorite surface. I see no female opponent except ostapenko in her risky form.

What a fantastically "quiet" match 😉 . Love the craftsmanship of both players, but so good to finally see Bencic win again. Ons's time will come, she has it.

And just when you think Belinda has had her day (she was pretty quiet since the Tokyo Olympics ) she is back in top form.
The ladies field just gets deeper every passing week. No such thing as a guaranteed win anymore for anyone.

Hingis was the last Swiss to win this. Fun fact: Bencic was also coached by Melanie Molitor, Hingis's Mom.

Ons is good too, she just has to be patient her time will come. She has achieved so much for Muslim women playing tennis. Being the first has a lot to be proud of.
