SHOVEL to the rescue! Luckily I had a shovel near by....I didn't get it in the video, but when I gave the rattler the business end of the shovel, he finally "buzzed." ...... I got back on the porch and sat in my chair with a cold adult beverage and contemplated the whole encounter..... "Here I was by myself, 40 miles from the nearest hospital, no cell service, minimal First Aid kit, and I damn near stepped on a rattlesnake".......It gave me the "HEE-BEE-JEE-BEE's," as my dad would say..... The cold adult beverage tasted mighty sweet that night......
