Thoughts on Ember? How do you play her now?
I just realize her rework starts now, i thought it was next month lol X'
Ngl, it's a bit too late for this kind of rework to pull veterans back in. I legit played about 1000 of my first hours exclusively with ember before later getting ember prime. The ult change back in the day ruined her. Glad she's getting some love before the heirloom skin drops but it's a pittance against the time for which she's been unviable for anything above level 100.
Either way, hope newbies get to enjoy the embodiment of fire (finally).

Had the same thoughts on getting thermalsunder on her, so I changed p.flow to archon flow and got t.fortitude in place of umbral intensify cause I don’t have an umbral forma to throw at her right now. Otherwise build is pretty much the same. Cheers!

How is thermal sunder affected this update?
Cold rework, blast rework, heat armor strip making noticeable difference...

@@G1mute could just be that if frame gets heirloom or deluxes in future, it just gets more attention so might as well rework while frame gets attention anyways(and will get more attention after skin comes)

I honestly still miss the Old "World on Fire" Days but atleast now she doesnt feel like a Candle burning both ends with a Blow torch.
she just recently became my second most used frame after a couple thousand hours. i would afk farm xini for axi's with her since world on fire would hit everything.

You can play her with Harmony modded for Status duration and heavy attack damage for the melee. With all the heat procs she does, everything dies instantly with Harmony's passive.
Harmony is so ridiculous. Combined with the new melee arcane and it truly gets bananas on those heavy attacks on floating enemies after the neutral combo of the stalking fan stance
@@PERSONAfan01 You don't even need arcane for it to go banana tbh. Heat 60/60, the new Melee Elementalist mod, Lasting Sting, Amalgam Organ Shatters, CO. Because it condenses all future status DOT in one attack, it synergize with Lasting Stings and it goes absolutely bonkers as long as you proc one or two Slash or Heat. I think it rivals the Glaive at the moment in sheer damage lmao.
Remember, we also have expedite suffering, the ability version of harmony.
I believe Expedite suffering only works on Slash and Toxin procs.

Heirloom Ember is going to make so much money.
I think they can earn way more than from mag and frost heirloom set. The set back then upset nearly the whole community, f2p players can't touch it because it was unable to be purchased with plat, and those who were willing to pay also missed the set because it was time limited.
Warframe focuses on collecting gears, and clearly that skin set didn't pair well with the overall gameplay.

Honestly the biggest problem with WoF was visually taking over the screen for the entire squad. I have noticed over the years that the frames which show they are making kills visually are more likely the ones people bitch about...

withouth the need for equilibrium
for Ember i didn't put equilibrium cuz lacked space so I just put her 4th augment which just increases energy drop rate
but ye does suck that I FORMA'D HER EXILUS TO FIT PRIME SURE FOOTED it is what it is
Ive been giving two or three purple shards instead of equilibrium as there is normally no mod space for it.

Honestly this update is really good I always love verity and this is what this update brought. Me and my girl was using frost and ember and it was a blast

Running her with Arcane Battery lets you stay in hysteria almost indefinitely.
Yea, sure deserves some love, especially QoL wise, but as for her capabilities, build her right and she'll one-shot red crit slash melee everything in the game, while she's infinetly immortal too. Little expensive to get going though.

Just started playing again after a few months break and am so happy. Ember Prime was the first Prime I ever chased farming up, and after her initial rework I didn't really enjoy her anymore. Loving having her back in the rotation again for content above level 100.

I'm very happy with her changes. It was nearly impossible to keep her 2 from draining all my energy even with full efficiency. I didn't play her much because of that, but now she's in a much better playable state. I like thermal sunder on her; I may build one for myself. You could swap out primed flow for archon flow and get more energy drops from the frozen enemies.

When I'm back to Warframe I'm sure to play around as Ember. Her skin/s were always some of the best especially her prime version to me so it's good to see her back and changed. Running around setting things on fire wasn't exactly exciting despite how effective it was during survival infestation missions.
I miss the old World on Fire Ember. She used to be my favorite frame.
Do you miss her insane energy drain that came with it? I sure dont. I'd much rather have it as it is now and just pull mobs with nautilus to nuke them. Sure its a bit less brainless than the old system, but at least that energy cancer is gone.
Fire Blast is one of my favorite subsumed abilities. It is not a 100% strip without multiple casts, yes, but the ease of use is SO nice. I have it subsumed on several of my frames.
Plus it acts as an additional element for Condition Overload
I found Arcane Blessing and Healing Flame to be overkill for Ember's survivability. Just between Archon Vitality you put on for the 2nd effect, immolation which never runs you dry on energy anymore, and adaptation - there's enough survivability on her to comfortably tackle all content. So in place of Healing Flame I put fireball augment (not using any subsumes for now) and the 2nd augment is flexible for whatever. Last mission I wanted to focus on melee, so I used arcane strike.
Overguard can replace Primed Sure Footed tho, if you can keep it up. Unfortunately the amount generated is as miserable as Frost's augment was before they added the armor scaling. If they boost the generated overguard somehow - I'd certainly keep it as must-have and drop adaptation since it doesn't work on overguard anyway.
People aren't talking about this much which is fair enough, but the enemy health being increased significantly (to balanced out the decrease in armour they gave them) really screws ember up. Before she could kill SP lvl 150 corrupted lancers with just precision intensify and archon vitality, but now she gets them to about 10% hp with the initial DoT. The rings can now proc heat and finish them off, but she falls off significantly earlier on endless missions as a result. I feel like DE should compensate some damage based abilities on frames that have built in armour strip to balance out their damage in comparison to pre jade shadows.
Me a rare Ember main since I started the game - she used to be good, she was fucking amazing and now she's the firey goddess I fell in love with. Love my fire girl

Exciting. Ember was my first prime, and I've missed playing her. Even if I still miss world on fire, her rework was pretty cool, but I couldn't make it work at higher levels before. Maybe now it has a better chance.
That's an interesting Ember build you've got there, it'd be a shame if someone were to... permanently borrow it.
been awhile since i played but Ember was the first frame i built some 10 (TEN) years ago now.
I still have an arcane phoenix helm on her from when i'd run my world in flames always on build.

I use thermal sunder on Frost and Harrow....even after the helminth nerf. I'll try this Ember....looks like a Blast...lol.
Question? have you ever thought of taking out equilibrium for a purple archon shard? I feel like it would free up an extra mod slot.
A lot of frames struggles with purple shard because you need to sacrifice a red one (either 10/15% strength or duration). Ember doesn't need a lot of strength and duration so She's one of the few where a tau forged archon shard (or 2 basic ones) is a good deal !
She’s also one where you’d want the full equilibrium , if anything exothermic is more flex than the mod , my questioning is the use of arcane blessing when ember has more shield eHP and also they are using overguard generating augment anyways
what do you think about putting arcane ice storm on the sunder build to get more strength and duration?

Oh I wasn't understanding what that new % icon was but it's pretty intuitive. Glad there's an overheat indicator now instead of "ok ok f f f f f it's capped omg my energy"
Embers my most used frame from my early days where i got her for linking mg warframe and twitch sccount(i think thats why i got her?) But havent used her in a long time

I've been playing her a lot! She's so much fun right now. I'll have to give Thermal Sunder a shot. Never occurred to me to try it.
I'm still sorting out her energy regen, still using Energize, along with Archon Stretch and my trusty Grinneer bagpipes. Man, is she ever fun now.
Thermal spreading cold and causing blast with her heat is really worth looking at.

I'm an Ember expert and this changed damn near nothing for me
I got my ember right after world on fire was removed so I never got to experience her in what I hear were her halcyon days but I've always enjoyed using her. Seeing her get buffed was nice. I did not vibe with everything in this update as the big plot twist in the quest wasn't for me but purely gameplay wise I am enjoying both ember and jade.
Ember is actually good now ? Man I have wanted to play her for so long, but she's never been quite up to snuff, decent but held back. Might have a reason to get her Heirloom skin, now.
Can't wait for my grandma to start gaining overguard next 🔥
Ember was my favourite warframe since 2014 until I think around the time that Sevagoth came out. The only thing that could push me off of playing her a Gloom-Saryn build that I still use for almost everything. Here's hoping I can make Ember my main again.

They broke the chain of “new prime = rework” to “heirloom skin = rework”
I remember the dev stream showing chroma prime coming out, chat was spamming "chroma rework" endlessly, hoping to hear them mention one. A prime and 2 deluxe skins and they haven't given him shit x.x

Power creep for year's..and year's, I haven't touched Warframe in awhile but is there even any endgame challenge content left at this point ?, DE just seem to give everyone what they want but at the same time it seems that there's nothing left to challenge player's with all this power
Sadly there's no endgame challenge content like a Destiny 2 Raid with unique rewards. And that won't happen until DE change everything they build.
She was my main for the regular star chart but felt to squishy for higher level content so I put her away. Now that healing flame provides over guard, we’re back in business! Having a ton of fun with Ember right now 🤙
The changes are quite nice i fire off fire blast the moment it I have max immolation and the ability for it to hit people on a different level than you is amazing. She might have the best crowd control in the game. He fireball is actualy useful now and th augment for it is just a better shocktrooper. the energy drain for immolation being reduced was the biggest thing tho. Now you can actualy use the ability without being one step from death. I paired it with clips for even more dr and it’s quite nuts how tanks she can get.
I personally try to abuse healing flame as much as possible, by having the range at 150% minimum, duration at 100% minimum, only modifying strength and efficiency depending on if i want more damage or more overguard.
Also heirloom brought a lot of customization to the table imo,

So how I play as Ember - I have replaced her fireball for Breach Surge. Aperantly 3 and 4 counts as heqdshots which triggers those little things go off and hunt for enemy heads, resulting in ridiculous numbers lol
Also I have 5 red tauforged shards on her, all going into extra power str.
I haven't tried playing propperly with Harmony though, so I'll need to try that.
Even with the changes Ember seems to be a really spam heavy frame at the moment. I couldn't get away not using streamline and arcane energize. I had to spam fireblast to get enough overguard to survive steel path.

Haven't tried her yet... With that rework, maybe I need to start playing her again.
Since I mostly want to do steel path, I tend to avoid frames which do not do well in that mode (and I think many frames die easily in steel path unless you create a crazy combo which I'm generally not a fan of because they tend to get nerf rather quickly)

I've been using it for a long time on Citrine (with two Corrosive Shards) and I love it, but recently tried Blast, and it doesn't feel quite *there* yet. Yours looks to be Blast as well, and I'd love to give it a try.

@@nguyenhuyduc9151 Why Magnetic? I'm already using Empowered, but I don't understand why Magnetic should be used instead of Corrosive and Blast.
I was using Viral, Corrosive, and Heat prior, and I'm trying Blast now because it's fun.
edit: Alright, small update: my build was good, the problem I was having is that I was dealing with the numerous Jade Light Eximus in the Event. Just did an Orokin Survival (SP Incursion), and I had almost 700 kills in 5 minutes. I'd still like to know his build.
I really like the ember changes, but I still feel like they could do more for her 4th ability. It still feels a bit lack luster compared to everything else in the game.

Arcane guardian is higher EHP than arcane blessing at max stacks and doesn't require ramp up.
Guardian
740 / (1 - (160 + 900) / (160 + 900 + 300)) = 3355
Blessing at 50x
(740 + 1200) / (1 - 160 / (160 + 300)) = 2975

it has 15% trigger chance , thats why unless its inaros i prefer arcane reaper more an extremely underrated arcane

Im so happy these old and previously useless frames get buffed indirectly. It should be norm to keep them all leveled, not forget about them for years

wouldnt really call it a rework, just a rebalance. EMber still one of my most farmed frame but the lil bit of comphort room is nice all the same.

Ember changes are good, but I still don't think it's right. The whole overheat mechanic doesn't make sense. Why can the fire Warframe overheat? And the uncapped energy drain is annoying. You have to lower the meter to control that, but full meter gives the best benefits.
1:25 Blast being remotely meta now is still just wild to me. Like, when was the last time that happened? Has that even ever happened? Anyway, I'm all for it. Just unusual.

It is so surreal to hear people talk about the removal of the hold-to-charge mechanic like it was always there. Thinking about how long we had that questionable mechanic makes me realize how old of a player I am.

I feel like the next rework should be limbo, his main gimmick doesn’t work against eximus which is dumb, I’m mainly a solo Tenno and his constant shadow nerfs are crazy

You have Thermal Sunder, Primed Flow, and Exothermic; why not drop Exothermic and replace Primed Flow with Archon Flow, and get your energy orbs from cold kills?

Did the recent update change how durations mods effect stealth? my Loki went from almost a minute of stealth to 30s and my ash lost 10 seconds on his time
Woah there. The first video I watch about warframe in years and someone says “put blast on a weapon” like it’s good. Have things really changed that much since the New War? lol. I guess it would but dang
New dev team have been dropping hit after hit and tons of quality of life changes. But yes blast is really good on some weapons now.
I really wish they’d just remove the whole energy drain ramping. It just makes her slightly worse for no reason.
I dont deny that Sunder is good on Ember, but Roar is definitely the actual no-brainer subsume due to scaling heat procs from weapons and abilities, ability damage, and weapon damage
I like the ember changes, but i feel like she needs more, she probably won't get anytime soon bc they just changed her though..
