Garden trimmings will NOT be enough to feed chickens and rabbits unless you have a five acre garden and are daily cutting it back.
Most people only have a home flock
Have you not seen the size of an Amish garden? Those women work daily just as the men do. So yes they have plenty to feed!
I’ve tried to order books off this store & it is constantly advertising making purchasing confusing. I ended up with 4 online books when I wanted physical books. I checked repeatedly to assure I ordered physical books and still ended up with online books too hard to read on my phone & no refund.

The land that they have was most likely purchased. The seeds that are in their possession to grow whatever they want was most likely purchased as well. The items that they use to preserve food again is most likely purchased as well.
If the Amish build greenhouses well I would not be surprised if more investments are made here as well.
So where is the free part?
You have to waste money to grow something to feed animals!!!
It is completely untrue to say Amish feed their animals for free!
Free of the added cost of buying it from someone else is not a hard concept to understand.
@@StonewallJackson-n8w What you said is not true.
They have been doing this long before you could go buy nails lol.
If you could see what they spend money on monthly you would feel dumb
This is not very informative. Most of it is common sense.
What about winter?
Exactly, I never see how people solve the problem of 5 months of winter. It’s always a farm without snow. Cold maybe but little to no snow.
There’s always crops that can be grown in winter outside and in a greenhouse. We do it every year, and no we’re not amish
Same as you, thats when you use feed and packaged foods.
@@LaserPeckfordIts called hay. You cut and bale in the summer and put it up in the barn for winter. Most Amish use the big square ones. While regular farmers use the round bales.
@ oh? What is this hay? Tell me more.
70 percent of a Dog or cat diet should be protein....
Depends on the dog. My Irish Wolfhound will go after tomatoes harder than he goes for steak. Dog food he will refuse is the expensive protein meat stuff. He wants veggies and is great shape
