In the 4th ending, when the singer goes "shinzo wo sasageta", the instruments play the exact same chord progression as in "shinzo wo sasageyo" (Dm C Fsus4 F/Cm Bb Ebsus4 Eb) that's so cool cause it sounds similar but more calm and in another fashion.
Whenever I get to that part I keep singing “sasage-“ and stop myself when I realize it’s different lol

@@RoshanSChooChooMusic Yeah, it's "shinzou wo sasageta". Instead of "I give my heart", it's "I gave my heart", implying a weariness of fighting, and not knowing how and why to go on. That small change of lyrics is an absolute stab in the heart.

Bruh ending 5 is so heart wrenching yet beautiful at the same time.. everytime I listen to this ending I feel so nostalgic and the watercolour image of Eren, Mikasa and Armin trio as kids somehow just pops into my head..

Ending 3 scares me tbh my favourite is ending 1, makes me cry every time
Ending 4 really places you into the shoes of the characters. When you are just watching the show you don't think about what it would be like just in everyday life. They're practically living in the medieval ages, just with technological advancements like ODM gear and the humans look more modern. The old fashioned choir singing really makes you think that it is back in the olden days.
The reason why I chose Attack on Titan as the best anime:
The show portrays how the real world is like their power is absolute and must be followed
How the characters would react when facing death

Cinema Staff is so good at making these. Name of Love and Great Escape are my two favorites with Name of Love taking the cake. It's very nostalgic, it reminds me of the fact that I've been watching this series since I was 13 lol

Despite being weird and creepy, opening 3 is the only one and opening which i think helped massively build and push the gore aesthetics of Attack on titan. In fact, i would call it a perfection of art.

For me, my ranking would probably be:
1. 暁のRequiem (I really love the choir in this one. It's a great ending for Historia, and I loved the alternative version's "glitch" season 3 part 2 preview. It was a beautiful overall. Also, the foreshadowing. THE FORESHADOWING. If you haven't already, search up Akatsuki No Requiem official video. I don't know what it's called actually, lol. Anyway, if you're caught up with the current events of the manga, you'll find it even more interesting. There's a ton of theories on the meaning and I too believe that the video itself is the ending of Attack on Titan. In relation to the actual ending though (sorry i completely went off track lol), whenever I'm listening to this opening, sometimes I even run around in a straight line like Historia in this ending, haha. // That sounds pretty cringey. I'll just try to disregard that part. I put this at No.1 mainly because it's extremely important and I misjudged it's value for a long time. Also, how could I ever hate a Linked Horizon song?)
2. 美しい残酷な世界 Beautiful Cruel World (This ending is just beautiful. I love the showcase of Mikasa's backstory in it. I love everything about it; from the vocals, to the visuals, to Mikasa's growth within it. She's no longer that scared little girl she was before. She has become a warrior, and pledges to protect the last family/loved ones she has left after losing her parents on that traumatic day. She lost her will to live, but now she realizes her true purpose. To fight. To protect. And to live so she can one day see a peaceful future with everyone. I could even say that this one has always been one of my favorites, but after 1000+ listens, it may end up falling down my list a bit soon. Yuugure no Tori is an extremely close third.)
3. 夕暮れの鳥 Yuugure no Tori (It's haunting, but the ending itself is genius foreshadowing, just like Akatsuki no Requiem. I like the ending theme too, even though most people don't. I was actually really surprised at the backlash it received based on the song choice. In my opinion, I don't even just like it for it's visuals, but the song is beautifully unique and I'd listen to it on repeat, like every other song on the soundtrack for this show. I even jam out to it for hours, sometimes, lol. And holy shit, I only recently realized it was in English. The look on my face was just disbelief. I really like the acoustic instrumental in it too. It's really pretty. ^_^)
4. Great Escape (This one doesn't really have any long or detailed reason behind me putting it here on the list. Like the other endings, it has foreshadowing, but only a bit in comparison. The music is probably what sells this one for me mainly because of how it gets you pumped up, and in general is just a really good ending. I could listen to it on repeat and I'd be okay with it. AgAiN, just like every other song on this soundtrack. Like god, I don't think I'll ever be sick of any of these tracks lmao.)
5. Name of Love (I love this song too and the emotional visuals, but it had to be put at 5 because I AM STRUGGLING TO HAVE THE COURAGE TO SWITCH IT WITH GREAT ESCAPE. Still incredible though. All I need to say is they are close to being on-par. Nah, fuck it. They're on-par. They're polar opposites, but they both are just cool endings that don't have intense meaning, but are just refreshingly good. If they were put up against average anime endings though, I'd say I'd put them relatively high.)
And yeah, that's it. Sorry for that long comment, I lost track of how much I wrote. This list was extremely hard to write, I was almost about give up and just be like *sure they're all equal.* But yeah, I think what I chose makes more sense and honestly not putting myself through trying to rank these individually beautiful endings wouldn't be fun LOL. Hope you didn't enjoy this literal essay.
