One negative about the beam rifle that I don't think you mentioned is that it doesn't stagger enemies like the assault rifle does, and sometimes staggering an enemy can be incredibly useful.
I just booted up the game because I was curious about what you mentioned. I went into an apocalypse earth adventure and I was able to stagger the root devils by tap firing and holding down the trigger. Perhaps the weapon has less stagger damage than the assault rifle? That could explain why sometimes enemies aren't getting staggered as they probably should.

Radioactive Ember can be found randomly on Rhom. I recommend re-rolling normal difficulty adventures and looking through the outside areas and the area leading to the boss to find it. It may take some time but eventually you will get it.
Is there a bonus cap for fire rate? As I can’t seem to increase the fire rate of multiple weapons including typewriter, machine pistol, submachine gun. But slightly slower automatics such as the assault rifle can have fire rate increased.
After watching your footage of the typewriter, your fire rate is way faster than mine with gunslingers set + osseous. I feel like the PS4 version might be broken?
After some research, it turns out that many weapons do have fire rate caps. It depends on the weapon being boosted but yeah weapons with already high fire rates can't be boosted too much higher. That could be a potentially good video idea for the future.
Correct, it’s from a side area on Reisum that contains a merchant named Sebum. You will have to walk around his boat to view the armor set through a hidden spot below deck. Once you complete his request you can offer to trade the quest item for the armor set you saw hidden away. Then he’ll unlock the door for you to grab it.
Was thinking about going for a fire build with the beam rifle with the hot shot mod and spitfire. What would you call a solid alternative to the beam rifle?
The beam rifle is an incredibly good all around weapon that nicely covers the medium range that it and the other rifles do nicely. - I'd say as an alternative you could go with the Chicago Typewriter or the assault rifle. Both deal lower damage per bullet, but they both have better initial damage per second when compared to the beam rifle. - I'd suggest using either one of them when you are going to be dealing with groups of enemies. The spooling damage increase on the beam rifle won't be as helpful on targets that will only be hit for a few seconds. Both work really well with Hot Shot too!
Nice. Did they ever fix the jank with the fusion rifle? It with the swarm mod, spirit stone and burden of the follower with the machine pistol is a solid dps combo.
@@Red_BarronRetroReadings I have not tested the fusion rifle in the last patch or so, it might be fixed but it might still have jank. That sounds like a high dps build and a fun one at that!

Or the heart of darkness I grabbed the other night! (thanks again!! I will b farming that dungeon for those simulacrum again lol)
To answer your questions in order: 1. I have not found any method to consistently check ranges for attacks. The closest thing we have to that would be the scrapper set, as soon as you notice your numbers doing less damage you know that enemy is just above 5 meters away from you. 2. Shattered Vertebrae is unlocked by completing both the base game campaign AND the DLC campaign in hardcore mode. They don't have to be beaten on the same character though. If you just want the rewards I recommend playing through both on separate hardcore characters on normal difficulty. It should be very easy for you since you have moved up to nightmare. 3. Heartseeker, although it doesn't grant the guaranteed crit while aggro'd, still gives the 20% crit damage boost. Which works very well at boosting the radiant set's damage since you will almost always be critting with it. 4. For the highest crit chance and crit damage there are a few factors that go into calculating it. If we are talking about the number you can physically see in the advanced stats tab, then it would be 95%. Radiant Set: 30% Executioner 25% + Braided Thorns 20% + Burden of the Gambler/Akari Warband 15% + Icefruit 5%. Since the lowest crit chance a weapon can have is 5% (Which is not added in the advanced stats total) This setup would mean you would get a guaranteed crit every hit (10% crit weapons would hit 105% 15% ones would hit 110% and 20% weapons hit 115% crit chance technically). If we are to take into account sources that don't physically add to the total but still increase our chance to crit then it goes higher. Polished Whetstone and hunter's mark both increase crit chance but don't show up in stats due to them being tied to a debuff. if we take the previous actual values and add them both in (35% for both PW and HM) we hit 135% 140%, 145% and 150% crit chance. For crit damage it's a little higher. Base Crit Damage 50% + Radiant Set 30% + Kingslayer 25% + Burden of the Gambler 25% + Heart Seeker 20% + Hound Master's Jerky 15% = +185% Crit damage. This is the highest number that can appear in advanced stats. For the actual highest we just add in polished whetstone for a whopping +220% critical hit damage. This doesn't even bring up devouring loop, which can quadruple crit damage, making the total like +800% crit damage??? I am not sure if it is multiplicative of your normal crit damage haha. Also the game doesn't mention this anywhere but some weapon mods do have modifiers to their crit chance and damage! I don't know all of them but for example Gravity Core on the Particle Accelerator DOUBLES your crit chance and damage on it's explosion! Devouring loop crit GC explosions can easily near insta kill many apocalypse difficulty bosses haha. Hope I was able to answer some of your questions! - Wry
Just got this game for my wife and i, cus its like Destiny and Dark Souls had a baby. Both of those being our favorite games. Only complaint from what i can tell is that there is not any true light machine guns. But that typewriter looks awesome. Is there any bolt action iron sight rifles?
Unfortunately there are no true bolt-action iron sight rifles in the game. It would be really cool to have one though! And yeah there is no true light machine gun. Although the fusion rifle can actually deal some good damage if you build it right. Since making this video I have played with it more and figured its far better than just a mod power weapon. I would put it closer to a minigun than a true lmg but it is still fun!
Personally I prefer to use the Assault rifle when playing casually. I find its higher damage per bullet and better initial 5 bullet accuracy to be better in many different boss fights. Although the tommy gun certainly shines in areas where the assault rifle doesn't. It's a matter of the fight you are trying to beat or the enemies you are going up against.
