As a kid it was all about Andy. As a teenager it was Robin. As a young woman it was Barry. And as a mature woman it was Maurice. I was a little late but I saved the best for last.
I think Maurice's voice was the one that made the perfect harmony that the Bee Gee's were famous for. Listening to Robin and Barry sing with out Maurice, just isnt the same. his voice is different than the other two. If you listen to him sing in the video with Lulu you realize what a beautiful voice he really had.

Out of all the times I've listened to the Bee Gees and thought Barry was all there is i finally discovered Maurice. Maurice is absolutely sensational. He is so gorgeous! He's so funny. I hate that it's after his death that I discover him. I think he's an awesome singer. The best. And talk about sexy! Wow! Yes, I would take him home to meet the family. Boy was I wrong. He was more on the quiet side but he was so funny, so good looking, so versatile, and so talented. His voice was amazing. My favorite song is the bridge followed closely by Railroad. If you haven't heard those look them up I think you'll enjoy them.
I agree Maurice was just as talented as his brothers, Barry once said that no one could put music together where it would sound the best like Mo could I wish MO would have sang lead more he had a beautiful voice and it was every bit as great as his brothers but they all said MO sang as often as he wanted to but he loved doing all the new sounds he came up with on the electronics he was not only talented at singing and writing but also the music miss that beautiful smile and was always so funny.
My favorite video was where Mo took the camera from the cameraman and got down by Robin and put the camera pointed right up at Robin. How Robin could keep singing and not crack up showed how used to Mo's shenanigans he was. So funny.

Yes Mo had a great voice! So glad he sang two songs on their last album. This video is fantastic! I was fortunate enough to see them on that tour way back in 1989 and it was awesome!

Renee being a child of an alcoholic father, I gained so much respect for MO in the video fighting back. The strength the Courage the fight to overcome what he had to overcome is overwhelming. Gloria I think Beau was always in great shape. In fact in an interview Barry and Robin was talking about the Robin having a micro diet and I think Barry was vegan I'm not sure about that Mo said I eat anything I want I always stay the same weight.
I met Mo a couple of years before his passing and he seemed like such a genuine person and had a great sense of humor. I personally think he had a better voice than Robin and should of sand lead more often. Closer than Close is my favorite of his............R.I.P. Mo, you were one of a kind!

He could hit the high range and even did falsetto in certain songs when Barry was singing other parts and he could sing low. Very versatile. My favorite very favorite Moe song is the Bridge he sings it with his daughter Samantha and Son Adam. Check it out it is beautiful.
@nycosmos9 u are so lucky I would have loved to meet anyone of them. They are true icons! I grew up listening to them on the radio during the mid to late 80’s I wish I could attended a concert but I was too young to realize greatness before my eyes! I bet moe was really cool during interviews. I often catch a joke and laugh especially when moe joked they all had a great sense of humor.
Maurice seemed delighted most times he & Barry sang together, their voices appealed to him. As harmonist, he loved "the sound". It's in the videos over & over...his eyes light up & a special smile appears when all three perform live, harmonize perfectly, & achieve "the sound"... just as when he & Barry sing together.

Wonderful song and both Maurice and Barry did great sharing the lead. And those of you saying that Barry was horning in watch out for the cue Maurice gives Barry to join him singing you cant miss it as Mo is very obvious about it then Maurice's reactions to Robin when he can't wait for the chorus and you'll realise that it was Robin who was horning in not Barry.

I liked that he was a musical genius like his brothers. The fact that they were immensely talented is one thing, the fact that they all had a musical genius in them is completely separate point. Many people have immense talent that don't get that far but these guys; their attitude, their constantly remaking of themselves their Drive, so many other attributes: they were geniuses.

My first 8 track was my bee fees. I became infatuated with Maurice since hearing these new songs. Ernest was my stepdad first name and my son's middle. Love the harmonies, moves and the lyrics of all your music. Maurice helped with my husband and words for encouraging a new life of sobriety. Listen every night before bed to smile and wish to have seen Maurice in person. Although married, no disrespect, would have loved a big smooch. Thank you all for years of entertainment.
Renee being a child of an alcoholic father, I gained so much respect for MO in the video fighting back. The strength the Courage the fight to overcome what he had to overcome is overwhelming. ( a lot of overs there LOL) my father never could to what Mo did. That story just made me respect and love him more.

@@barbaralockwood4432 Mo's trade-mark fedora was gifted to Robin when he passed. From what I've learnt, Robin always kept it on display in his home where he could see it anytime.☺ Robin never got over losing his twin.😢
Gloria I think Beau was always in great shape. In fact in an interview Barry and Robin was talking about the Robin having a micro diet and I think Barry was vegan I'm not sure about that Mo said I eat anything I want I always stay the same weight.

I met Mo a couple of years before his passing and he seemed like such a genuine person and had a great sense of humor. I personally think he had a better voice than Robin and should of sand lead more often. Closer than Close is my favorite of his............R.I.P. Mo, you were one of a kind!

@@kristeninthedirtysouth I agree, Mo was far better then Robin. I know I'll probably get nasty notes from Robin fans but I loved Moe's voice. He was versatile in his singing as well. He could hit the high range and even did falsetto in certain songs when Barry was singing other parts and he could sing low. Very versatile. My favorite very favorite Moe song is the Bridge he sings it with his daughter Samantha and Son Adam. Check it out it is beautiful.
@nycosmos9 u are so lucky I would have loved to meet anyone of them. They are true icons! I grew up listening to them on the radio during the mid to late 80’s I wish I could attended a concert but I was too young to realize greatness before my eyes! I bet moe was really cool during interviews. I often catch a joke and laugh especially when moe joked they all had a great sense of humor.
Mo had a soft, smooth voice, but Robin's was unique. There will never be another voice like his.

Maurice seemed delighted most times he & Barry sang together, their voices appealed to him. As harmonist, he loved "the sound". It's in the videos over & over...his eyes light up & a special smile appears when all three perform live, harmonize perfectly, & achieve "the sound"... just as when he & Barry sing together.
