hes a perfect fit ... good culture guy .. he adds offense that our blueline is lacking and will factor in there and help overall team scoring but also we know hes not great defensively and move the needle any futher ...which is exactly what this team is going to be ...so more the marrier i say... if we are not gonna be one of the better teams in the leauge and lose more often then not ... id rather see high scoring games .. barrie adds exactly that

I think the success of this team next year will count on several factors (i.e is Huby a point per game player? will Wolf/Vladar/Cooley able to fill the void of Markstrom...3rd best goalie in terms of analytics) but in my opinion the BIGGEST factor that will decide whether we are a playoff team or not is, will the addition of Barrie paired with someone other than Weegar or Andersson be able to revive the 2nd pair which in turn allows for a reunion of Andersson and Weegar in the first pair. I am so torn man. I want them to do bad so we get Hagens and have a legitimate franchise player but at the same time how can I cheer for my team to lose...I am not an Oilers fan.
The Toronto Maples, Have 7 goalies at camp. The Calgary Flames don't have a solid veteran backup Goalie! They need a seasoned goalie; Martin Jones would fit the bill. And Cheap. Wolf could get some wisdom from Martin Jones.
If the Flames wanted to sign Jones they wouldn't have signed Cooley. Plus Huska has already said that Vladar and Wolf and even Cooley will get every opportunity to seize the starter role. I seriously doubt that there will be any goalie signing here. Jones is not needed
