Keep some vets on the team for experience, shelter the young guys, cultivate a positive culture, and don’t tank. Let’s get a dynasty going here. It’s gonna take a few years for us to be good, but we’ll get there. Who knows, with no expectations and no pressure on the team, it should be freeing for the team. Maybe they’ll be better then some folks think
expectations - may not be in wins, but being competitive, playing the right way - that is needed for a rebuild / retool ... and new draft picks coming in need to be coming into the right environment May lose a lot, but lose the right way, high draft pick, but not a tear down mentality
People need to stop expecting Jonathan Huberdeau to be a goal scorer. He is not, he is a play maker, and he is on a team without a consistent, proven goal scorer. He won't be great until the Flames find that.
Tear this team down and rebuild, i know fans don't want to hear about a rebuild but the last thing you want is a team not good enough to make the playoffs and no bad enough to get a good draft pick.
@@EpicGamers9111 the 2022-23 season in theory the flames still looked incredible with huberdeau, weegar, and kadri added but they all underperformed that year. So they should consider a big sell off at the deadline it’s obvious they aren’t going to make the playoffs this year
What people forget, Huberdeau doesn’t have the talent around him! Barkov Duclair Bennet. He needs a big fast centre who likes to shoot! And a big fast right winger who likes to shoot! To open up some room for him to play-make! Go Flames Go!!!
The pressure is still on. Hes making $10.5mil a year. He better put up points. You don’t get off Scott free because the expectation is low. Do your job and score. His goal should be to help this team make the playoffs. That’s why you make all that money.
Trade Jonathan Huberdeau two Montreal for josh Anderson & Arber xhekaj the money is close to working and calgary can trade a 2ed round pick for Logan maillloux
No other NHL team is going to take on a 10.5 Million dollar contract. Calgary could retain some of it and it still wouldn't entice others. He's 31 years old, barely getting 50 points and his contract still runs for 7 seasons. It's not happening any time soon.

Bring back Jermaine Franklin
What is this guy talking about Hanafin being a better quarterback. I think Weegar and Andy have same/ or more offence than Hanafin.

He'll help the team reach the cap floor and give everyone something to complain about

Yeah I agree they should tank for Mackenna
I think most flames I know are very much on board with a true rebuild. Especially following mangiapane and company leaving
as a flames fan wtf do u mean? we want a full rebuild since 2 years ago

That won't happen. Calgary is the definition of mediocrity

70-80 points LMAOOOO. You are dreaming Salim. He'll be lucky to get 45pts
Salim is delusional if he thinks huby is getting 70+ points
Can’t say salim ever played hockey

he talked about fun last year how did that go

No way they accept
Maybe MTL will throw in Suzuki too since they would be in such a generous mood
@@MikeJohnson-o2p lol
TLDR we suck but that's okay that we suck because we have no expectations. Good luck boys. Go Oilers
You're completely right, Oils do suck
70 pts Hahaha Come on guys, 50 maybe. And Calgary doesn't have one of the best prospect pool. This video should be reported as fake news
Worst contract in history
Sure he will not have the expectation there. But that can also translate into even less performance. Hopefully not, but it is possible,
10.5 million a year. Unreal. Lol
4th line bench warmer 😂😂😂
This team is dead last in the pacific with Anaheim this year. I really think Sharks will be ahead of them this year lol
His role Is to be the worst contract in the league
70 points? Really?🤣
Trade huby frog we don’t want a useless frog on our team and trade whoever showed weakness in this video lol absolutely dreadful this organization

Nothing, Edmonton is 2.5 hours north and will destroy Calgary all year… Calgary is absolute. Everyone will watch Edmonton they are a winning team
Don't look to cry on my shoulder when the coilers get eliminated......and they will lol
The only reason anyone knows about Edmonton....it's close to Calgary🤣
