    It turns out, from my sources here in Norway, that the bullet case is from WW2. It was used to shoot on plains from the ground.

      @@Alex_Anders Hi! I become a new Simplex owner now 😀 I would like to use it underwater but after checking Simplex in hands I am affraid of headphones connection waterproof because when I am putting standard plug on connection due to the air inside the plug moves back and not look safe. Can you show somehow, maybe by mail, your "tape" solution or maybe you already found some more reliable and easy solution, e.g. just seal headphones jack adapter?

    • @Alex_Anders
      @Alex_Anders  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aryabuha My local seller said this to me about the Simplex underwater:
      1. For use without headphones use the black cap on. Thats all. Ready to under.
      2. Attache the headphones plug to conector. When you do that first stick it in. Turn twice. Stick it in more. Turn twice angain. Try see if it goes futher in if not tighten it all you can. Normale force her.
      If you want to protect it against saltwater like me tape the plugs. Both of them. Use an stickie tape that dont lett water thrue. Make sure you get it high enough both top/buttom. And remember that nokta makro sells this saying go have fun underwater.
      Last but not least. Dont wash it in icecold water after use. You can get condens inside the controllbox. Use nice warm water.

    • @Alex_Anders
      @Alex_Anders  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Congratulations. Yes, it goes well as long as the water is calm, I think. The more the water moves, the more noise there will be and it will be difficult to make proper contact with the tones from the detector. I have only used the coil that you see in the videos. Good luck🙂

    • @freebird57350
      @freebird57350 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! That makes sense. I don't think the tones will be so important underwater as it will be fairly clean and I'll be able to see the numbers anyway..AND because things are not so deep so it will be easy to "dig". I forgot to ask what mode do you prefer underwater?@@Alex_Anders

    hi, how stable is the device works in salt sea water? what is your maximum immersion depth with it?

    • @Alex_Anders
      @Alex_Anders  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry late reply. To me, it seems very stable in those places with sand and some rocks. If there are a lot of small stones and gravel with different types of rock species, it can wear a little. Then there will be a lot of extra signals and more difficult to interpret. It goes down to 3 meters or 10 feet.

    • @Alex_Anders
      @Alex_Anders  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how much money you want to put in your detector. Its cheap. This one is perfect for the beginner. Its works good underwater(not the best) and good on land/beach(not the best there either) Its easy to use and understand. If you allready know that you only gonna use it in the beach area+ shallow water. And know you love the hobby. Maybe minelab equinox 600 or 800 is better. Expensive detector can be a little more difficult to use/understand aswell. Keep that in mind. But simplex is a good start into the world of detecting👍

But I find alot and enjoy to be on shallow water anyway. The discrimination works good where there is sand and bits pf small stones. But some places it gets a little bit more chattering. But when you see the vids. here on our channel you get whats it like. Not very much chattering all in all. So yes from me. Works great under/over water. And not speak about the price. Very cheap👍🏻

      Goldrings has to much variations. Sometime thin sometime thick and can be mixed with other metalls. Id will allways turn up differently. (If its not very thin and deep in the underground) I have never had pure gold under my detector. Like goldnuggets. So I dont know how that is.
