Tweening vs animating :D I'd say both require pretty much skills but drawing frames may actually be harder, since they need to be very precise how the movement will go, but tweening helps you automatically generate the frames in between
(As an animator) I know that Animators spend more time having detailed or even simple characters, But even if they ARE simple characters they have to redraw and move certain bodyparts or head movements, Sometimes this is just frustrating. Mistakes are made, and maybe they have to sacrifice their whole animation because of a simple mistake such as a line on the wrong layer. Meaning they might have to redraw their whole character on that frame. While it does take a while to create a character on gacha, And it DOES take a while to edit or tween certain parts. However, it is NOWHERE NEAR as much effort to making animations. Also: A side note, Most of these "Animation memes" in the gacha community are actually just the poses in-game on a slide show. Yeah well, maybe you animated the background and tweened some of the body parts but that only takes about a day or two, UT sometimes there are ones I really like, awesome ones I almost want to count as animation. They have good shading, amazing tweening, and actual ANIMATED lip sync (Which I hate doing bc I'm not good at it) With effort, I believe many others could be good animators or editors! Keep up the great work! Also, Don't think I'm shaming people for what they do. I'm not forcing gacha tubers to become animators! Well I would say the animators win, mostly because they need to actually come up with charecters and draw them instead of tracing them like gachatubers. I am not trying to offend anyone and this is just my opinion.
Well I agree animation is harder, but at the same time Gachatubers also have to create their own characters, even though the basics are down for them that doesn’t mean they just put on presents it’s much more than that. And trust me, when you have no sense of fashion its a little difficult
Well, some are hybrids in the two groups- we also sometimes just use Gacha to get reference for how the character looks like- PopoChi is popular for this, and everyone never really saw that she actually uses Gacha- many people use Gacha in ways you can't imagine and well, let's say it takes more than effort. Backgrounds are all made by them, the time they need to learn how to tween and just add actual eye movements to their characters aren't easy. Smooth movements are more than hard so even if we had the base of the project, we can't start on it without proper stuff. Can't we all just agree that both are made with effort and shouldn't be paired against each other??

Well, depending on the style, the same cons for animation apply to gacha. In retrospect, the only difference between gacha and animation is that most start with a base. And with that base many (like kittypoptime, cutiepunpun and lunior star etc) redraw the character completely, and go through the same process of animation. While others add shading/design the original bases and rig and animate them in Live2D or use tweening and typography. I know gacha sometimes gets a REALLY bad rep because of the toxic 9 year olds doing....you know I’m not gonna say that. Sure some gachatubers have less initial quality in their work, but that just comes down to experience. There are SO many talented gachatubers, but many look past it only focusing on the trolly weird side of gacha. TL;DR: Gacha and animation is not that different, gacha just uses a base (sometimes) and animation doesn’t.

I like normal animations instead of the Gacha life ones, because most of the animators who don’t use gacha have so much potential to draw lots of art and to tween and shade, and all those other things, and overall I think it’s more fluent. For gacha, I dont wanna make anyone upset, but I feel like majority of the Gacha life memes doesn’t have any drawing, and they just shade the hair. But most of them are good! Like the drawings and the tweening. But again on normal animation memes, they don’t do that much tweening, and they have lots of frames where there’s a lot of smooth running cycles and it’s not choppy :) but they’re both pretty good !
Okay, I will say that animation does take alot of effort but that doesn't mean that there isn't any effort in Gacha Memes. If there done right they can look really really freaking awesome! I will agree that some Gacha Memes are gorgeously done. And animation just as gorgeous! Although animation is drawing Frame by Frame takes alittle bit more effort. But still animation goes into Gacha Memes too! So they may not be drawing the sprite they are using but they do draw on top and make it look very nice! So honestly both types of meme makers are talented! :D (This comment wasn't nitpicking just what I think :] )

I love both communities, and honestly the gacha community is kinda apart of the animation community. If I had to pick I would pick animation though, because there is a lot more you can do with it and its a bit more fun creating your own clothing articles.

Ik I'm late but I'm pretty sure for the Halloween meme, the person who made the gacha one is not Derei but xXMistyFallsXx. I recognise her OC i used to watch her unless she changed her name which i don't know/ think so.

They are both hard working both of them take a lot of time to make the perfect video
I think the Gacha animators still work really hard but I still think that the animators spend a little bit more time than the Gacha tubers cause they gotta do frame by frame, backgrounds, drawings, animating, details, and yes the Gacha tubers can do that too but they already have a base and poses to work with and can just use the character and they won’t have to draw it again unless they want to
