Start with hojicha (Like the drip tea that Eric tried in the video). It's roasted and so it doesn't taste as "Green". It's still my preferred way to drink green tea hot. You can get it from any premimum tea seller although imported from Japan is best (Eric has a link in the description)

My wife is a big fan of green tea and I enjoy it as well. I grew up drinking tea, although it was mainly fermented tea as that is what the Chinese traditionally drink. My mom would make a big pot of tea every morning. Quality green tea makes a world of a difference and the Japanese surely know how to do it right! You totally put me in the mood for a nice cup of green tea. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I love the way they set up a small shop. Having a minimalist design and making your life slowing down. I have seen some shops similar to this in Harajuku Tokyo, but most of them sell coffee and clothes.

Wow this looks fantastic! Love green tea, I'm a huge coffee drinker but started making a shift towards Japanese green tea fairly recently and you're right, there is something that feels more energizing with green tea versus coffee. Thanks for the video, the draft tea looks so good :)

It took me a long time to start drinking tea, especially Green Tea. But now, I drink it everyday.
Green tea is soooo refreshing, but can take a while to get used to after english tea.
Precisely Thorfrun. It takes a while to acquire a taste for Green Tea, cause of its bitterness. But the health benefits are amazing I think.

Great vid! Thanks for reviewing this place. I'll definitely have to pay a visit to this cafe. I got hooked on the "earthiness" taste of matcha when I visited Japan. The Lipton type green tea you mentioned is what I'm used to in the states.

My Aunt and Uncle are tea merchants and have a store in Chicago. If you ever come to the midwest you should check it out! My uncle is a tea historian he could talk tea for dayz! Has traveled to the tea plantations. They are Todd & Holland.
