Everything you say here, i didnt feel, only emptyness, like my Soul is Dead, Anxiety Panic Depression, but then after many many years of Medications which some of them make me feel even worse, 2.5mg Olanzapine did the magic over night, i Woke up, and my head a was clear, thinking, feeling, normal, Olanzapine safed my Life and my Quality of Life ❤
I was on resperidone for a month and went off cold turkey 5 month ago. I still haven’t recovered from the effects still feel lethargy, sedation, and sleep 12 hours night. I hope I recover. Thank you for sharing your experience
Beautiful! You have encouraged me to continue my video journey explaining my psychosis. I relate to so much of what you have said. Thankyou from across the pond.
Also, Everything you said about the emotional aspect is so true. I was wondering why I kept feeling numb and emotionless. Now I know. I also gained weight and have a moon face too. I had never been on medicine like this before. It took a while to get back to myself cause that experience was so freightining, I didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad to hear your happiness and joy came back.
Thankyou for your story. I went through psychosis and it was terrifying! Oh my! I was told I had to be on medicine for life! What! I’m glad I came across your video. I’m hopeful now! I want to taper of Resperidone too. This video has truly encouraged me.
Hey! Thanks so much for letting me know it helped you! That means a lot to me. I hope you doctor can work with you to get off of it. I hated it so much when I was on it.
Hello Torie Your video gave me hope thank you very much and have a happy life all of you. After when you get of this medication what did you feel after that? and the psychotic is go? Please let me know one of my family is started taking this medication now. Thank.
Hello! I’m so glad it helped! My psychosis never came back. I did struggle with a lot of anxiety and depression afterwards but I’ve never had to go back on this medication. I hope this helps!
I'm contemplating going on risperidone, however, I'm having doubts as I've heard more about the various side effects and how common they appear to be. I've schizotypal and get paranoid worries/anxieties but they come and go, so I'm thinking that since I am not close to a full on psychosis I might just try manage it other ways or discuss other medications with my doctor.
I feel like it’s probably a good idea to try other things. I felt awful on it. Totally flat and not myself. I hope you find something that works well for you!
I have a relative who takes risperidone for many months, she had an experience with psychosis a little longer than yours. She is now doing well and is even working normally. She just doesn't show emotions and we have also noticed zero empathy in her all this time, did something similar happen to you? How can we help her with this?, because sometimes we seem to try to talk about it but she just ignores us or doesn't care about all the support we give her.
I didn’t start to feel like I could feel anything other than numbness and anxiety until I got off risperidone. Does she and her doctor have a plan to taper her off? The best advice I can give is just be there for her when she comes back out of it. Risperidone is keeping her from feeling anything happy or relational and nothing you do can make that stop. But she is still the person you love and she will come back out of it once the meditation stops. Maybe go with her to a doctors appointment (if you are close) and ask the doctor what the plan is for getting her off. Hugs. So sorry you are going through this.
I was able to get off the medication after 6 weeks. For awhile after I had anxiety and depression in its wake but I haven’t had psychosis since. Sending hugs 💜
Hey they got me started with .5 and upto 5 mg on risperidone..I'm at 1 mg currently been 3 months on it and it feels every bit like you said..how do I taper it down to zero from here.. Thanks..
That is a really good question. Honestly I’m not sure. I was diagnosed with PTSD after so I experienced a lot of anxiety and depression (risperidone also has the side effect of anxiety and depression). Now I’m feeling good and I feel like I experience all emotions well. However I’m on Wellbutrin to even me to even me out. Pulling apart the causation of needing antidepressants is hard. Was it the psychosis? Lupus meds? Risperidone? PTSD? I couldn’t tell you because I had/have so much going on.
@@toriebrame3419 same here I have too much going on it’s been two years I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to take a medication and not have psychosis and end up messing myself up. Urgh. This sucks.
My daughter is taking resperidone the psychologist has advised to continue with medication for 2 years as there are chances to have second episode. How come you have stopped after 6 weeks.?
I’m not a doctor so I couldn’t begin to compare our cases. I followed my psychiatrists instructions and he had me get off in 6wks and I haven’t had any recurrence. I’m sure her doctor has a good reason why. You can always ask them why 2 years and if you aren’t comfortable with the answer, get a second opinion. I hope this helps 💜
Not to get too personal but in the first video you said your husband. This video you said boyfriend. I'm currently going through this exact thing with my wife who's currently in the psych department at the hospital. Did this experience cause your husband to walk away or did I just interpret that wrong from the first video?
I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s a lot 💔 I did have a husband during that experience yes. We were having issues before that. I had been sick for a really long time, and he was very frustrated by that. He didn’t walk away after psychosis. It certainly didn’t help though. It took him another 2 years of more medical stuff and a baby and just a ton of stress. He wasn’t the type to be burdened.

Finally i don’t feel alone in this. This happened to me when they put me Resperidone
Hugs 💜

I’m glad!! I think we need a lot more people to tell their stories! Let me know when you start and I’ll subscribe!

Heart goes out to you. We’re trying to get my dad to take resperodone but he is too paranoid to take it
So sorry to hear that 😕 here’s hoping something will work for him 💜

I am off it now. I was only on it for about 6 weeks.
i am taking risperidone for more than 8 yeard, i want it to be ended..(
Oh wow yeah talk to your doctor about switching you to something better or just weaning you off.
I saw how you supported all us in the video, and i am happy that you got rid if this medicine, hope everything will be the way you want in life❤✨
