These are my personal favorite/best settings for DayZ. Make changes to fit your PC set-up and Good Luck Survivors.

*The OVERALL QUALITY caps all settings after it, that can only be changed by changing the setting itself, thats why its IMPORTANT to set it at EXTREME FIRST, then lower what u need after that*

@@alanleveke478 the only setting you want to be sure you set to extreme 1st is OVERALL QUALITY. Once that is at extreme you can proceed however you need.

Dude, thanks! Quick, to the point, no fluff and more detail than the rest i have seen. I set up my in game sittings using someone elses video to help, lst time. I just bought a new TV, UHD 4k, and i wanted to set them again for the better resolution screen. Came across this video and i am extremely grateful, because this is the first time I'm seeing anything about changing file information ❤

@@AustinZLiveHi. In My game trees and grass looks very bad even it is on extreme. Is there any fix? I think the problem is anti aliasing but tried every settings still looks bad. I want it to be like the channel named soursweet

Definitely going to try this. If I put my graphics on extreme. My frame rate drops like crazy. New to PC so I’m still trying to find the best way to get it perfect

Doesn’t increasing the values for view distance and proffered object view distance tank your FPS. Most will say to lower those to make it silky smooth…
it would if we weren't countering the increase in view by lowering 5+ more taxing values. but try for yourself and make adjustments where you see fit. i prefer having a potential visual advantage over most people i encounter.
this includes seeing them from further, seeing their pixels in more detailed scenery, etc.. the way LOD renders in DAYZ youd be surprised how many times you might have missed someone because they didnt render properly due yo your settings

Hey bro, what are your Nvidia settings in 3D panel for DayZ? I've been messing around with it alot but would be cool to hear what you're using for better performance or visability/antialiasing. I have MFAA - turned on. I think it makes the antialiasing a little less blurry, not sure about the fps.

@@AustinZLive haha looked for a 2024 video and found my comment under your video from way back. I got a new rig now with a 4080, 7800x3d, 32ram so performance isn't the issue but wanted settings for better visability settings. Thanks man

I say to copy the values I have, not to copy and paste them. Check mine and check yours… copy mine if they don’t match. Hope that helps

I opened, documents, dayz - and there is only two folders that are “ DAYZPROFILE file “ and none of them are like yours, what do i do?
Open Ur Game and Change some settings.... Worked for my friend but idk If it will Help U
The one that has the same settings is the one called "Bogard%20Axel_settings.DayZProfile"
That's how mine is called, the one in your documents will have your name
What about field of view if you have an extra wide screen?
i have not done so my self, but you can increase the volume as you see fit, its in the doc folder as well.

i done everything and its fine , but if i start ingame my G-Force Gamefilter the Hole game Crashes ..
Had this problem for days, just disable "hardware antialiasing" ingame settings and it should work fine. It somehow fucks with GFE

windowed will be fine
after seven months i'll answer that the only difference is a little imput lag.
when i open up the file i only have everything up to my last played server nothing below that, do yk how i get them
Try verifying files or reinstalling the whole game checking every box

For whatever reason setting the game to windowed gets me near 300 fps but setting it to Full screen locks my fps to my monitor at 170. Odd.

when i turn on hardware antialiasing it makes my game extremely dark and turning up brightness doesnt help any idea to fix this?
thats very weird and never seen that before. try messing around with the aliasing a little more and just find a balance of visuals and performance that you like
What was the point of copying the 3 settings?
- one of the settings was called "viewdistance", and we increased it. so that would be to see further.
- the other was "scenecomplexity" and we increased that. that gives us more detailed scene rendering at range. (using eye zoom and spotting a guy in a window 300 meters away instead of the window being a non-rendered blur)
- i think the other setting was related to shadows and we lowered that.. helps game run better using less complex shadows.

try right clicking your settings and see if there is an "open with" prompt or similar

Most of these settings arent appearing in my folder.
Documents - Dayz - find your settings folder - and should be good to go. If you are following those steps correctly and it’s still not there that’s strange. It was just that simple for me :( hope you can figure it out!

I can log in to official servers just fine. Maybe something else was changed accidentally? You can verify game files in steam library
Thx, didn´t played this game for ages and the standart settings are a joke.
Doesen´t save the game from looking like a bad 60´s movie though.
The game IS over a decade old at this point. Besides, I think the way it looks is one of the things that makes DayZ as charming as it is. DayZ's graphics are hard to describe. They look old, but great at the same time. If you can run the game with everything maxed out it really does look quite nice.
@@daemonthorn5888 Yeah. With several updates along the way. My guy, I´m here since the mod days, you don´t tell me. Other games are just as old and look way better.
If you´d know a single thing about this game, it´d be that you *never* play on "max settings" because it puts you in disadvantage. But even on "max" settings (without blur, since it´s the most useless setting to exist in videogames, *ever)*
it still looks like crap, even with optimized shading and Nvidia settings.
