Anisotropic Filtering makes textures less blurry when looked at from an angle and basically has 0 performance impact on any semi-modern pc. What you're thinking about is Anti-Aliasing, which does indeed smooth edges.
Since you can explain very well, I thank you. But if you could recommend or record a clip if you haven't already, how to activate the admin on a solo game.
Hey mate, great video. Having a specific issue where every time I aim down my sight my frames drop in half. I'm on a decently high end PC (12gb VRAM, running off of an m.2 ssd) , and have tried all sorts of optimisations inside and outside of the game. I am aware that the sights are PIP but unsure why the framedrop/stutter is so significant. It is making PVP more challenging, particularly a problem around trees. Any ideas? Thanks

Great video. For some reason ive found that I'll need to reset my video settings from time to time in order to get that max draw distance back. Maybe this is bc i play on different servers?
This was a great video and really helped me out! If you want any tips on room for improvement I would have put the "most important setting" section at the beginning of the video. I was going a long with your video as you were explaining what each setting did. But when I got to the Quality section of the video it reset all of those settings I just set. But its not a big deal, thanks again for the help
I love this game and the settings to get an advantage in PvP is the most annoying thing about this game. I have to set it ugly on purpose to have the same chances. 😂

Do you know how i fix my game from resetting all my settings once i close it? everytime i open the game, the settings are default again.
Maybe hte CFG file is set to readonly so it always changes back.
@@camcantrun The only cfg file i was able to find is "DayZLauncher.exe" and it's not on readonly :\
maybe filter for reshade? or maybe with amd settings would be helpful

hi, it doesn't load the textures beyond 750 meters, it's as if I always have a background fog, it only does it on dayz, what could it be?
