This actually has to be my most favorite queue of all rides Disney has done to date! The sounds, the scenery, all of it! It also amazes me how far south you walk to get on the ride itself. You are almost straight on with the Disneyland front gates when you board this ride. I love the lighting you were able to get on this and it looks absolutely amazing! I am getting way excited to be going there in about 2 months. Thanks for an awesome vid LMG! =)
My favorite would be the Avatar flight of passage one at animal kingdom at Disney World

Wow! This feels like the pinnacle of ride POV's! They used to be too dark and grainy, but as low light got better it almost became too bright (you could see the ceiling and things you normally don't) But this... this has got to be as good as it gets aside from being there!

This is my favorite Disneyland Attraction. I will admit, I've never been to Disneyland, but if I do ever get the chance to go there, this is the ride I'm making a point to not miss out on going on.
funny story about this ride. once i went to disney with my whole fam. my aunt had gotten 3 fast passes for her and my two cousins( this was before the putting fast passes on your card thing was happening) i love this ride and i wanted to go really bad so we put the fast passes in a tight little pile and handed it to the fast pass guy. we walked in and i got to ride even without the fast pass. just a fun little story from when i was like 7-8.
Sounds like Willie Scott (Famous American Singer!) was on this ride!

I was there the first week this ride opened and I swear they had a live actor dressed as Indy rather than the animatronic at the end, but no one else has ever confirmed this.

I think I saw the Dumbo sign. Love sitting in the front row and flipping the tool box handles. Cause apparently no one else does it. Until now.
They should make a movie based off the ride
Well I mean there temple io doom which is the outside and ride and the first half of the queue is based on the first movie with the traps and ball in the last part of the ride, and the guy who talks to you is also from the first movie

When is this ride getting its refurbishment? I heard it is getting an extensive one this year
I hope so. There are so many effects that have been disengages or abandoned. I for one want them to return to having the visual effect of the three doors working again. It’s so boring if all the riders go through is the middle one. Plus the projection of rats on the smoke effect is absolutely dated compared to other projection effects at the park now.
I agree! I would like to see lightning and projection improvements!, also I would love if they fix all the broken effects back, and put something at the rats portion of the ride, there’s nothing happening right there and that part is pretty lame.
I mean now would be the time with Disney Closed till the end of March from the Coronavirus
@@diegoalex4587 Ever since the cars started stopping right before the rat part, that section has been really awful. The walls don't even look like a temple. lol. I wish they'd totally re-do that section and scrap the rats on the branch.

I agree about the projection on the smoke effect being really dated and old. The three doors visual effect probably won't be fixed since it was damaging the building.

the ride is scheduled to close for a refurb. any idea when that might be?
If anything is happening most likely later this year. It's not on the refurb schedule prior to April 2020.
Hopefully they will change the oil hydraulics to the system that runs the one in Toyko so it doesn't brake down as much. And add the blow smoke mask in the section before the blow darts also in Toyko.

This is probably me and my brothers favorite ride at disneyland, I remember one time when riding I saw a phone screen on the floor but my legs were too short to reach it and It flew off when the ride took a sharp left, I feel bad for the person who lost there phone that day

I remember walking into this ride nearly sleeping in my dad’s arms (it was kinda horrible, sometimes I had to walked)
The spikes were removed because it was a safety violation

Knowing the ride is going to go under a refurbishment soon. The lighting on the boulder has changed! The light has a new extended bit now rather than a flat cut like before.

What is supposed to be happening in the dark portion at 9:16? I’ve gone on the ride multiple times but other than the sound of bats nothing really happens

It supposed to be a bunch of rats on the ground and the fog image is a branch with rats on it. It’s honestly super lame and I know they can do something better
@@KingFern03 back in my day, the idea was that the scariness of being in the dark with those creepy sounds would let your imagination run wild with worry. Now-a-days people aren't afraid of the dark on a ride.

Yeah!
No, it's not even a drop, it's more of a dip and the speed is only 30mph or less
They had to slow it down since it first opened, a lot of people got whiplash.

another ride that was kinda ruined when they stopped allowing people to wait in the queue line inside, as it was designed. not to mention that the interactive elements in the queue dont really work anymore.
