You do NOT need to remove the bumper to get the fenders/wings off. Just go through the steps to loosen the corner of the bumper where the fender is that you want to R&R, and remove the headlight on that side as well. The bumper is made of rubber! Simply flexing it a bit after removing the two attachment bolts gives you access to the two screws that are hidden by the bumper. That's it. All the other steps to R&R the fender can be done without doing anything else to the bumper.
Hi guys, thanks to you I was able to remove the front bumper and surrounds to replace a crook thermo fan, great video and saved me a fortune, job well done!!
one of my front proximity sensors had dropped back into the bumper. After being quoted my arm and leg to retrieve it i used your video to move the bumper just enough to reach and reinsert
Hello, thanks for your wonderful videos. They are so helpful. I am needing to remove the rear bumper of a 2008 freelander 2, as one of the parking sensors has popped out into the bumper. Could you all help me with this? Is it similar to the rear bumpers for other models in your videos? Thank you!
Excellent video as always. This actually gave me confidence to buy my FL2 with its few minor issues and have since purchased parts from PowerfulUK! Can anyone confirm if disconnecting the front bumper connection on an FL2 (by front wheel arch it seems in this video) will allow the rear parking sensors to work on their own? My FL2 is showing the front two inner sensors as faulty, I suspect with a chafing wiring issue, but wondering if I can just disconnect them before I get time to remove the front bumper entirely. Thank you.
Hi - super cool to hear our videos have helped ! It may be easier to unplug the front loom from the control module in the boot - its behind the trim in the boot. I could look at doing this on monday if you like. To upgrade to the HST grille you have to cut your original grille out. Unfortunately the bumber and grille are all one piece on these so theres no easy upgrade, yet.
Fantastically useful as I need to replace the washer bottle and aircon pump. Thanks for taking the time to record this.

That's useful as I'm about to replace a damaged offside wing and thought I'd have to take the bumper off.
Thank you very much. I had to remove the bumper to fix a dropped in parking sensor. With your video it was a quick job.

I have just replaced the hood latch and hood open sensor - which required dropping the front bumper. Your video covers it perfectly.
Hello, i have to do the same thing, did you have to remove the headlights first to get access to the hood latch?
Very helpful. Thanks for taking time to do this video!
Thank you so much - wing now changed thanks to you.
Good video. I have the same vehicle. Do I need to remove front bumper guard to have access to the car horn connection.
Do you need to take the front bumper off if you are changing the bonnet sensor/catch?
Just spotted this vid.....Can I replace the parking sensors without removing the whole bumper ?
Thanks I only wanted to take the grill off, but it looks like it comes with the bumper - nightmare. Cheers guys.
Very useful video. Many thanks.

Is it possible to just remove the grille wothout the whole bumper?
Alas the front grille is part of the front bumper !
@@L663 Thanks for the quick response.

Hi do you have a similar video for a discovery 3?
Muito obrigado pela informação. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What if I just wanted to change the grille? The one from the HST model is way nicer and I'd like to install it.

Hi to fit the HST model grille you need to cut your old grille out - this is something we are looking into at the moment.
Can you access the headlight washer jet for replacement without removing the whole bumper. Great video too.
You could try this .... i will do a video when i get the Freelander back from the bodyshop

That would be great. Thanks as I am hoping it can be accessed once the wheel arch liner has been removed. It could save me and other a heap of time.
I'm guessing it's the same principles for a Freelander Mark 1 made in 1994
