      Hand picking your dinner isnt wrong, calling it "hunting" is the only thing I disagree with. As long as the kills end up on the table, I don't see a difference on where you shoot them. Cows all come from farms, we just don't pick and kill our bovines like we do our venison! Have you ever picked a live crab or lobster out of a tank in a restaraunt or supermarket? I go fish for hatchery raised trout dumped into a small lake... where do you draw the line? Fish, chicken, beef and pork all come from farms, but when someone shoots a fenced in deer, it suddenly becomes wrong!?!?

    I live in and hunt Tennessee. I have taken some nice bucks in my years of hunting, but nothing like the ones I see on this video. It would be a great service to us deer hunters if our agencies (like TWRA) would obtain some of the genetics from deer like these, and then introduce those genetics whether it be in fawns, does, or even some bucks to breed the wild does. Once the genetics are present, good management, and conservation of ideal habitat could produce more high quality bucks.

Actually, it would be considered a freak of nature if you were to see that kind of a spread on a 1 years old out in the wild who wasn't fed a superb diet like you have there. But with work like you guys are doing, that could be a reality very soon. Congratulations and keep up the awesome work.

    Keith, come on this is not about managing and improving genetics. Nature already provides for that mechanism through herd dispersion to create genetic diversity. The problem with deer antler size in general is Age and Nutrition. In your lust for money you have unintentionally stood on the opposing side of hunting and whitetail deer, cloaked in robe of improved genetics and herd improvement. All the while undermining the very things you wish to protect. This is only about money and nothing else, shows and operations like this have convinced themselves of the good they are doing, I am here to tell you it is not. Raising fawns from birth is "touching", but when they will be package hunted in a small acreage pens for thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars is disingenuous and unethical.
    If ranches want to improve their heard, spend the money on feed and agricultural food plots, while not harvesting your deer until they are 6.5, will ensure you have bigger deer. However we all know they will never be freaks of genetically unrealistic proportions and monsters created by A.I. and genetically modified scientific malfeasants. I understand this is legal, but since you started as a hunting show and made your name in this field, to now start showing this as part of you Hunting program is disgusting. Either be a Hunter or a Deer Farmer Business Man, but please don't be both. You ruin the time honored tradition of ethical hunting that is an endeavor which is sacred, spiritual and a native part of our being. Its not about Killing some genetic freak hidden under the banner of "improving the genetics of the herd.

    I am not a hunter! My grandkids told me they went and killed a deer. They had a video of it!?? I watched the video and it showed the place drove up some deer to a feeder and my grandkids were inside a blind about 100 feet from the deer. Each one was deciding which deer they would "kill". Those deer were like cattle and paid no attention to the kids talking. When they shot the deer the ranch took them and had them cleaned and mounted and the meat cured and packaged. When a deer was shot the other deer only flinched a little and then went back to eating. My grandkids think they actually went hunting. I did not have the heart to tell them that was what used to be called a canned hunt. Their dad and his brother have never known anything else. To me this is sad. I should have become a hunter so I could have shown them what a real deer hunt is. If this is what hunting will or has become I am sorry.

I used to have a 400 acre farm next to my 120....the old lady died and the kids sold it and it got divided into 40-60 acre plots ,now every weekend warrior with a side by side has trampled it so the buck quality has went down, big bucks will not put up with it.

  • @lesliesmith7312
    @lesliesmith7312 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Seems a little weird to me, you keep deer in a fenced area, take the babies from their mothers and bottle feed them like pets. You seem affectionate for them, but you're going to carrel them, jack them off, sell their semon to somebody who's going to force it into a doe, all so that the children of the deer you're raising can grow big antlers so somebody can kill them and put the big antlers on the wall? Why doesn't somebody just make some really huge plastic antlers and sell them? seems cheaper and wouldn't take a creatures life for a wall ornament.

Then all of a sudden as a 3 yr old his rack has now got double drop tines. That is next to impossible to develop that many more tines and become a non-typical in the course of 1 single season. Blow smoke up somebody else's backside, I don't buy it.

      Common deer with good nutrition. But I wouldn't because of the stuff they were giving them. About as healthy as grass fed beef though.

    I've never seen 1 year old bucks look like those. Changing a deer genetics just to get money is not right.

    This would be nice if they were turning them back into public and private lands to bring genetics to the wild not jus for hunters to pay n shoot a fenced in deer..jus sayn

    This is how CWS Starts. Buying a deer to shoot is not hunting. This are not real wild deer to be released they’re live stock. I love how they make it sound like people shooting young bucks is the reason we don’t have monsters like we used to. No it’s called real hunters meat hunt not just buy a deer for a set of antlers. This makes me sick. If I could walk up and pet a deer it’s not hunting.

      Because they aren't controlled feeding and nutrition will very in the wild. Plant plots with good nutrition and you get healthy deer with good antlers.

    Nothing impressive about this. Messing with Mother Nature. I'll take my 130-140 class any day over A 200 class test tub pen raised deer any day.

    Sorry but I don't approve of raising wildlife like livestock just for a big set of antlers. I would rather have a fork horned buck taken fairly in the wild than any of these.
