    • @keithbrown2425
      @keithbrown2425 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hayypapi4281 personally the best way to build credit is just get a credit card with a small amount with like maybe 500-1000 and just pay your daily bills and get groceries with it and pay it off with the money you would have used that way your credit goes up.

      Checkout the civic, corolla, sentra for compacts, for a small gas saving checkout the 2018-2023 kia rio or hyundai accent which has 40 mpg

    Much different to the european version. Both inside and out. We didnt get the saloon version but we got the hatchback instead and various trim levels. A few engine choices then, 1.4 petrol, 1.6 diesel, 1.8 petrol, 2 liter petrol(type r only i think) and 2.2 diesel which isnt as popular

    I've been doing tons of research trying to find a good first car. It really sucks, but I've determined that I'm likely going to get ripped off in the long run if I spend less that a staggering $10,000, which is around half of my yearly income.
    In my area, even $10,000 will only get me a 2013 or 2014 civic with around 140,000 miles. I would be a lot more comfortable spending that much on a car with more like 60,000 miles, but this is the market we have to deal with I guess

    • @povnelson2019
      @povnelson2019  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A car in general is a rip off lmfao. The car World has changed tires a 2x more expensive, catalytic converters 3xmore$, car insurance is crazy’s! And price of a vehicle don’t mater it’s the interest rate. Lol so good luck and I’m sorry but believe it or not it’s a good thing that you know. It sounds like you’ve done you’re researching, I have confidence you can make a good choice 👍 don’t stress man you got this

      @@povnelson2019 You read my mind, cars ARE all ripoffs lol. Cars are one of the most expensive depreciating assets that we commonly buy, but most of us can't do without them, I work 30 miles away, it's not like I can ride a bike or something lol.
      I appreciate your response my man, and thanks for making the videos that you do

      I'm in the same boat! Looking to purchase a 14 coupe 125k miles for 10k cvt transmission as my first. It's one of the better deals I've found. These are going for 12 to 14k at dealerships 😐. Almost bought a 07 camry SE sport last week but I found out about the engine defect that causes oil burning in the 07 - 09 year ranges and changed my mind at the last second. It was from a private seller. He was rushing me to pay him 🤣. He wanted 8k. Had 102k miles. I need a car for work and want something reliable but reasonably priced too come on.

      @@lovelyyy7573 You may wanna look into the Mazda 3. I initially planned on spending only ~ $6000, and in that range, the Mazda 3 didn't make sense. But in my area, $10,000 can readily/instantly get me a 2012 or 13 SkyActiv Mazda 3 with just under 100,000 miles from a dealership.
      If you don't know, SkyActiv was when Mazda stopped using Ford parts. Even pre SkyActivs were pretty reliable, but from all the reading I've done, the sky activ models seems to be comparable to the heavy hitters like Toyota and Honda in terms of reliability, but much cheaper because they *aren't* Honda or Toyota.
      If you're interested, only some 2012/2013 models had the skyactiv engine and transmission. They had a blue ring in the headlight, a blue "skyactiv" label on the back, and a blue cover on the engine.
      There's a 2012 Mazda 5 (pre skyactiv) sitting in my driveway with 238,000 miles on it. It was my mom's car for several years. It's got some serious issues now, but it does still drive

      Find a broker and buy salvaged. You can get these cars cheap with a salvaged title that are going to last just as long as any other car. You do have to do your research. But they salvage these cars and all they may need a few parts. Possibly an airbag. Even some that had been salvaged for almost nothing. Cars are also cheaper now than last year .

    CVT vs. 5AT
    +2 points for drivability
    +2 points for fuel efficiency
    -4 points for character/fun to drive
    -2 points for reliability.
    +1 point for cost/weight/packaging
    Still down a point so the 5AT is better in my opinion

    If you want to drive automatic, and let’s say you are reversing out of a spot, are you supposed to squeeze the shifter button on the back, or will that activate manual transmission?

    • @Grafyte
      @Grafyte 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nah, all that button does is let you out of park, into reverse, and into the forward gears beneath drive. (D)rive is fully automatic all the time. There really isn't a manual mode on these CVTs since all you really get is (L)ow which helps you with engine braking.
