Thank you for all your time and care for putting all these episodes of Coronation Street here. I started watching the current episodes a few years ago. But since I've been watching the original episodes (from 1960 up to September 1993 so far), I prefer the old ones. I do think though that Pat Phelan was an amazing villain.
I wouldn't dream of watching Corrie today, so no idea who's in it. Just looked up Jenny/Sally & was amazed to see that she's now the sole owner of the Rovers Return. I bet Sally, the actress, the show, her castmates & the entire audience then would not have believed that 28 years later this would come to pass, I guess in soapland, it's never say never!!

Oh my God I don’t think I can bear listening to Raquel‘s voice for much longer. Whose idea was it does anyone know to change her like this. September 1993 - good month. A fond farewell to Angie - for now, Reg and Maureen break up when she catches him schmoozing Merry Widow Debbie Scott (purely for financial gain). Good news: Des's awful brother packs and leaves, and bad news: Rita's ghastly foster daugther Gobby Jenny Bradley comes back, but best of all - Tracy Barlow runs away from home! Sadly, it's not the last we'll see of her.
Are those house prices realistic for that time, and especially in Manchester. I know £80k + is a pittance when it comes to buying houses now, but didn't think an ordinary house in Manchester (in the 90's) would be fetching that much.
