Your mom's smart. I've had 3 toyotas, first car I bought was a Camry, then a used 4runner that I got up to 140k before trading it for a 2016 Tacoma. I'm really wanting a full size truck lately but I've never had problems out of any of them.
What do you use to grease a bead? and do all tire changers have a reverse to put the tire back on? I want to try this myself someday in my grandpas shop but I’m not sure if his changed had reverse it’s older but looks close
I'll need new tires pretty soon. I'm sure they'll last me through this winter but they will need to be replaced before next winter rolls around. For my 1995 Chevy Silverado that is.
Get mom a back belt if she is going to keep doing this, I spent twenty years+ mounting tires cant do this anymore because of lower back pain. I miss it though.

I don’t like drum brakes. Rode in a long bed s10 once hauling a load of wood and slid every time you came to a stop. Pribably wasn’t well maintained, as it had over 250,000 miles and was bought for the pure purpose of having the piss beat out of it working.
For drivers who aren’t speeding or hauling really heavy loads. They usually work just fine. Different applications may require different part types.. And of course in the US, Trucks are very popular vehicle just for average users who never haul stuff.

They are a 70k mile tire but I wore them down to the wear indicators and only had about 35k miles on them. There have been many reviews on those paricular model tires that tons of people hated them. What's bad is that ford puts them on some of their f-150's from the factory!!!
utfan26 I've had very good luck with the ATM versions, the ones on my Jeep had 70k on them and they still had a fair bit left before the wear bars. I replaced them because I got a bigger size.

Word of wisdom, lubricate the mating surfaces of the wheel and hub, so it doesn't rust to it.
