As someone who has had these noodles, a splash of milk DOES NOT help. I have a pretty average spice tolerance and even with like half a cup of milk and cheese I could not finish it 😂.
The more you do this, the more tolerance youll get. Mine was embarrassingly low, but after a few “ehhh why not ill give it a little taste..” i found myself feeling it less and less but enjoying the spicy flavor more and more. Itll build, and much quicker than u think
I increased mine by eating a habenaro pepper and it was some of the worst pain in my life but after that every time i ate really spicy food i would think back to that and tell myself "this isnt as bad". My spice tolerance started high though since i am of hispanic desent
Mine was already very high, and then I increased even more by eating a raw chilli pepper with seeds and all 💀 now no amount of spice can make me cry like that again.
For fire noodle. Heres my tips. Water makes it worse! Do not turn it into a soup, it makes the spice sharper, and more coughy. I recomend using half a pack of the sauce and/or adding a drizzle of neutral oil (veggie oil) with the sauce. after adding your oil, microwave your noodles for another 20-35 seconds and stir a bit. This some how makes it a bit sweeter while also dulling the spice a lot. Im not 100% sure why, but it does. I think for the spice, the capsaicin dissolves into the oil (capsaicin is not soluable in water) after microwaving the oil turns red, some of it coats the noodles (tasty and keeps noodles moist). While the rest coats the bowl/sinks to the bottom. It will remove some of the capsaicin from the sauce.Furthermore, some fire noodle flavors are less spicy than others. The jjajjang (light green) and light (balck and tan) flavor are the least spicy. Lastly, get a cup of milk or ice cream! And dont be afraid to drink it throughout! One thing i love about spice is how amazing it makes milk taste. Your goal is to enjoy food, so dont be afraid or shamed from drinking milk if it mean enjoying your food
Is it only me that thinks the opposite. I've also tried this buldak flavour but didn't even had to drink water after. Also I've eaten more spicy ramen noodles and buldak is nowhere near that spice but at the end it's about one's spice tolerance
Hey Bento my recipe for is this and I would like you to try,Get a pan boil 3/4 water for 7 minutes high heat for it to fully bubble Then what you would do add the noodles, Let them cook for 5 minutes and every 2 minutes mix then on the last minute mix however you want. After strain the noodles water until there’s 1/4 left then get some mild and add it until 2/4 and a half mid heat let it cook for 4 minutes like before mix every 2 minutes then put in the sauce packet then mix for 1 minute low heat then plate get your drink and go eat this is one of the best recipes 🙏🏾🤤
I have the opposite problem, everyone refuses to give me spicy food 😔 I went to an Indian restaurant, ordered their spiciest level ("Indian hot"), even agreed to say I wouldn't ask for a refund, and they STILL gave me food that was barely spicy. I know I'm a white boy but damn, if I ask for spicy, I MEAN IT!! Why even bother having that disclaimer if you refuse to give customers spicy food anyway
It's painful for the people who have a very low tolerance in scipe when eating spicy food, but when you keep eating it everyday You gain the spice tolerance, basically like levelling up your skill in RuneScape or RPG Game

If you really want to make a less spicier noodle, use the noodle seasoning combined with raw egg and mayo, stir it well enough to make the seasoning mixed well with the egg and mayo. Then you give it a splash or two of the water from the noodle after that you can mix it with the cooked noodle. It will tone down the spice and you will love the taste. What you did when giving raw egg after you mix the noodle with the seasoning is not doing a great job at toning down the spiciness. Just give my recipe a try and you will like it. I usually use Kewpie mayo and I'm sure you can get it easily in Japan. 😊

Honestly, the worst part about spicy food is not when it burns your mouth. It's when you're about to take a dump. The pain can last for over an hour or longer.
personally my spice tolerance is dependent on my mood and ibs/tummy condition. sometimes i wanna eat something so spicy i can't taste anything else. and somehow im lucky to know my ibs doesn't get triggered by spicy food usually, the type of food matters more. if i REALLY over do the spiciness, yeah maybe my body will punish me a little. but its ok sometimes i don't even wanna smell hot spice especially when my ibs is running wild and im getting acid reflux. that stuff makes my appetite for spiciness at negative 0. although i just think its unfortunate because i love spicy food usually. its ok to follow what you prefer imo. i don't think its embarrassing to not have tolerance to spicy food because of the duality of my experience. its your body, your choice should be yours alone and people pressuring you to do something uncomfortable is just distasteful tbh. i might have a medical reason not to eat spicy food occasionally, but that shouldn't be why i don't eat spicy food sometimes. i literally just follow my mood. mood says spicy? let's goo. mood says mild or no spiciness? that's totally fine too. turns out my mood agrees with my ibs usually. if my mood is for spicy food, my stomach react positively to the spicy food.
For me I thin it out with a little more water and some butter then I cook the broth in the microwave for 2 minutes or more to break down the butter and properly cook the sauce. If done right it's creamy but still has a great kick. Alternatively You can use a 12oz coffee cup with the sauce, powder, and noodle water without the butter and just use a fork as a whisk to break it all down. I wouldn't try going above 14 or 16 ounces because the seasoning packet loses it flavor pretty quickly. (This is only for samyang buldak noodle pouches)
Maybe try adding half (or less of what you added) of the spicy packet? Should also probably have a cup of milk on hand since Milk helps clear spiciness a lot better then water does
Tip:half boil some egg,eat it with the melty yolks (I have a decent tolerance, but if i dip a half boiled egg in the sauce,LITTERLY DENCH IT. still has no spice AT ALL)
you should listen more intentively. eggs in japan have a lot more rigorous safety measures to ensure the possibility of harmful bacteria is very slim to none (in japan it is a 0.0029% chance of salmonella). even in the US the risk isnt that high, it is still a low 0.0005% chance. once again it is very strictly regulated to ensure no harmful bacteria gets into the eggs or is spread by really any food, and considering most japanese have raw eggs with their breakfast every day, if it were that dangerous people would be warned against it and it would not be as commonly consumed as it is.

Add a splash of milk to help with the spiciness, and if you like, add some green onions
Tbf the cheese does do that as well.
That's why koreans love their hot sauce + cheese combination 😅
They think they can eat the spicy stuff. But they nerf the spicy sauce with cheese..

@Mycopoks It's kinda does. Don't do well with spice, and I've been able to eat a bowl of this noodles without much of a problem.
