Yup. It's an Extra. Note the tapered leading edge of the wing. Edge 540s have a straight leading edge. That's one nice electric!

The Edge has a totally different fuselage shape, very square and high, plus the namesake straight leading edge. This plane's leading edge is tapered, very clearly seen in knife edge passes.

Damn fine flying - would love to lear more about your engine up-set and your choice of regler for the plane - have the same thoughts about a plane up here in Denmark.

It's an Extra 260 (note the front of the cowl) the Edge 540 has a little "bubble-like" raised center (where the shaft comes out) while the Extra 260 just runs flat across. Plus they are a little smaller I think (in terms of scale) but pretty much EXACTLY the same plane.I would know I have both lol

Even owning both a 260 and a 540 for about a year now I never even noticed the leading edge was different (although I wondered if it was normal on my Extra being tapered) I just thought maybe the model brand lol I guess you learn something new every day even if it is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE lol

i was wrong, yes it is an extra and its on bill hempel's website. bill is one of greatest guys in RC but this plane is a big mistake. it looks like an edge 540
