    I am a 56yr old women & do not practice martial arts. After terrible trauma, many broken bones & many operations I have so much strength & confidence from this incredible young man, that I believe I have a future, I feel I will recover & once more have a strong body. Thank you with all my heart...

      I too am the same age and was broken down by an illness and live with much pain in body and mind. Through these videos from Master Shi Heng Yi I am gaining perspective on my own journey and have restarted my martial arts training from years ago. Despite the pain physically and mentally, I am gaining peace and more confidence and I can only say I am also grateful for this man and the Mulligan brothers for sharing these life transforming videos.

    You gotta do what you must regardless of how you feel. Conquering your mind in my opinion is a must. You conquer your mind the body will follow. Your mind can be your greatest asset or your biggest liability/weakness. That choice is ultimately yours to make.

      @ignacito68 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I believe that we just need to be able to understand our feelings, cause our feelings is not more than our self, our inner self talking, so if we understand our feeling we can understand and do just what we need, but we must understand it first so we can follow our heart in the right way
      I always follow a way to translate and respond to what I feel, I FEEL the emotion (it’s feels good or bad), I THINK about it (it is this feeling real or just because my feelings or my emotions are leading me in the wrong direction?) and after FEELING AND THINKING I BELIEVE AND I CHOOSE WHAT ITS BEST FOR ME, so at the end I always follow my feelings I always follow my heart but first I understand it.
      Hope I can help a little,
      Wish u the best to all,
      Goodbye my family :)

      You: Let's do stuff!
      Brain: But that's hard :c
      You: Okay, let's not do anything and just sit here and be lazy.
      Brain: But that's boring and produces unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the self..
      You: Choose.
      Brain: Fine! Here's your motivation ;o

      I think he meant... "There is a PRICE/cost if you don't do it, and there is a *PRIZE* /reward if you DO it".... the prize/reward being that -- when you continually prepare yourself for those moments when you are faced with challenges AND you don't run away from the adversities (and you keep looking for the path to success after any failure/setback), when you DO overcome each challenge, YOU Will LEVEL UP -- That is the prize/reward 😀
      Now Challenge #2... Next Level 💪

    Ancient Shaolin temple teached subjects are,
    1. Philosophy (zen, Buddhism, Taoism) for mind strongness;
    2. Physical training (excercises, Kung fu, meditation) for body strongness;
    3. Medicine (herbs knowledge, disease & injuries healing, health science, longevity of natural life).

    This makes so much sense to me Shi lao shi. Last night I was pushing myself harder than usual when running with weights. Mentally, I wanted to quit so much but I kept going. When my body wanted to go further, I did a flip over the chain railing and it broke my weight. I had to end the exercise there and do another one, but I believe that the effort it was taking, because it was much more difficult than what I normally do, it was me cultivating willpower and I think I have begun rekindling my fire. Already you're teachings have begun to make an impact on my life. I am ordering more weights, ankle weights, and a weighted vest next week so I can continue to cultivate this fire. 🙏

    I've been thinking a lot about how to say this, and I decided to just say it. I love the teachings of Master Shi Heng Yi, and I like that the teachings are spread through the internet and reach people who need to hear these teachings. I appreciate the work of the video creators, usually, the images are bright, joyful, strong, and inspirational. It captures the essence of who Shi Heng Yi is. But this series of TH-cam videos is different. The stark black background gives me that eerie and sad feeling and makes the master look old and emaciated. I would love to see Master Shi as the vibrant, strong, and vital being that he truly is. I hope you consider changing the background color and bringing the vital Master Shi to life again. Thank You.

    The thing with the pain is, that if you yourself have gone through a lot of pain, and you can endure it without getting into the position of a victim it means you can not live close to weaker people. They will blame you for confronting them with this level of pain, that is normal and healthy for you. But they will not feel comfortable witnessing someone who both goes through the fire and the cold and harvesting the fruits from this. They will blame you and be jealous at the same time.

    Awesome video series with Shi Heng Yi, I really enjoy the videos with him. Very calming and relatable. Are you guys planning to upload the full interview at some point in time? Seems like a series in the same setting to me. I know shorter videos are better for todays generation bc of the short attention span and monetization reasons but would really appreciate a full interview at some point to listen to while taking a walk or meditating.
    Keep up the great work, thanks!
