Time made her strong.she definitely must have cried a lot every when she was going through the hardships, but hidden. When a person suffers a lot..... that too since childhood, he/she becomes easygoing/calm while dictating to others.

Simi, i am a Sri Lankan living in Melbourne, Australia. I absolutely love watching your interviews. It makes me feel calm and happy. It's like meditation. You have done an excellent job interviewing popular people. Simi, you are very well spoken. If i had a daughter i would love for her to get your poise, posture, grace and beauty. Thank you for such great interviews. I have watched all of them on TH-cam. I wish you all the best and wish you will do more interviews in the future. I think Benazir was such a strong beautiful lady. I miss her. What a tragic loss ! May her soul Rest In Peace !
Elijah Ratwatte What a lovely message Elijah...all the way from one of my favourite cities! I'm so happy that you have enjoyed watching my interviews and I am touched by your kind words of appreciation for me. I shall treasure them... I'm going back to Melbourne in August for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne - and looking forward to it. I hope you are happy there..and that you continue to watch my Rendezvous! Regards, Simi

@@SimiGarewalOfficialpage pls pls come back with a new rendezvous ma'am. We need such an in-depth, heartwarming interviews not back biting shit show that goes on. Pls do consider ❤️🙏
Simmi Garewal decision to have this interview done is the best ever. This is recorded history for all who will study Benazir Bhutto to go back to. Very nice And such beautiful woman The sound of Adhan in the background is so beautiful
This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. Maybe because the woman being interviewed is herself a gem of a personality and also because the interviewer has a temperament which is so rare today. Simi, you were simply beautiful in this one.
Madam Simi I hope you do this kind of interview again. You are an outstanding interviewer. I am not from India but I am so impressed with your show. This is one of my favorite episode and the one with Maneeka Gandhi. Two strong women who stood against the tests of time. Life were not so generous with them and you brought out the best in them. So rare for these women to be honest and candid, but they did because they trusted you and believed in you. Kudos to you!
Madam Simi Garewal, Your all shows are master piece of all times.... Whenever i feel down in my life..i always watch interviews of your youtube channel, specially given by Benazir Bhutto, Sanjay dutt and Great Imran khan..The struggle, hardship and trials they faced throughout their lives to achieve their goals motivates me to go on in life.. I wish you continue your show again on youtube.. Regards, Love and respect from Karachi
I loved her since my childhood. I was so pained when she was killed. Thank you Simi for sharing this interview. To see her as a woman and her spirit. I am sorry that her demise has hurt you terribly too as she was your personal friend. Cheers to you and you elegant style of eking out the soul in the people you interview. God bless you
I couldn't hold my tears back the whole time she explained the death of her legendary father and I am here imaging that even she herself is no more living...
Requires so much of courage to speak about your personal life so openly, so amazing. Thanks to Simi for conducting interviews like those in the past. It is goving us motivation till date. Definitely somehow your interviews are like meditation
"He wanted to break me. He didnt want me to live before I die. But he didnt give up" a statement that helped me today...to fight against someone who is trying to break me... I will not let him break me...I promise you Simiji...Thank you
This is most beautiful interview of your show. Wht a lady she was ! Very beautiful elegant clam n composed. You can see the a small girl within her who just wants a very normal life. Despite her struggle was very big n her journey was great.
I must confess that Simi Garewal has certain je ne sais quoi...she is able to bring out their unabashed persona to the fore with so much poise and grace...full credit to her for impeccable drafting of questions..the viewers can experience the whole gamut of emotions...kudos
World moved on but forgot this kind of conduct and nature of interview. After Devanand and Jayalalita's interview this is the one I enjoyed listening to. Thank you Simi ji, hope you are reading this. And just wanted to say I have started admiring you for the way you hold and connect people where they feel warmth. We need more of you and like you. Lots of love ma'm. :)
Timeless!! Simi, you bring out the best in people. I don't think that general public has seen this side of Benazir ever. Such a strong determined woman yet very relatable and human. Thank you for this !
I have always adored Benazir Bhutto. I remember she was my first ever political inspiration back in 2013 when I was merely 8 years old. Hearing her talk about her father and all the difficulties and looking into her eyes. It's sad to see that the circumstances in Pakistan are getting worse with every passing day. 28-6-23 12:50 PM
Wow, What an amazing interview on Rendezvous with Simi Garewal.I guess Benazir Bhutto Spoke her heart out for the first time.We could see the pain in her eyes, But hats off to this woman who dint even shed a single tear while explaining the sufferings of her life,The interview literally touched ma heart...After watching this interview my soul was literally crying.Well done simi Grewal. RIP Benazir Bhutto, You were indeed the most strongest woman i have ever seen.
Can you tell me why you don't like Benazir? I'm curious. From what I heard she was a good prime minister but I don't know because I'm not from Pakistan.
@@LOL-ps3tg she ran a very corrupt government, resulted in a lot of innocent people losing livelihoods. If you research it she didn’t really pass any major legislations. A lot of pakistanis didn’t like her.
Thank you Simiji for giving us these classy interviews .I have lived in the U.K. and the U.S. for many years and watched many iterviews. But I must tell you that the style and substance of your interviews are world class. You are one of my favourites ma'am. God Bless you Simiji.
I have always been a great fan of Benazir Bhutto and this interview is just awesome… love Simi, the way she carries herself with so much grace, respect for opinions, her involvement in the interviewee’s talks.. wonderful !!
I also saw the documentary Bhutto, I have to say, am mighty impressed. Her father choose her not because she was the eldest but because she was the best, he could see it as a man with vision. She is Iconic, powerful and now a Legend.
Oh man. How blessed we are as 90s kids! I remember watching Simi ji's show on television and thanks to TH-cam, I can relive those moments. This was and still is such a brilliantly executed talk show. I love the mannerisms, sophistication , politeness with a bit of humour, all done with so much grace! Such shows are an absolute rarity today, at least in India. Thank you so much. ❤
What a beautiful interview. It was heart-wrenching to see her describe the last moments of her father with such dignity and control, but you can see the emotions on her face. Life is so tragic for some 😢
This is really touching interview! Probably, it is one of the best personal interviews I have ever seen! It is really amazing to see Benazir speaking from her heart. The pain is visible. Equally, Kudos to Simmi Garewal! She is very compassionate interviewer with a great ability to attach herself personally with interviewee!
Simi, back then when I watched these episodes as a kid, I remember we all loved it... But now when I started watching these interviews again as an adult, I appreciate it more. Coz I realise these are not just interviews but a thorough and dedicated research done by you which also makes the guest trust you and open up to the world.. Am sure we don't get the see such honesty anymore in any shows.. Not a percent.
Such a beautiful rendezvous.. Thank you so much for this. When this was aired, I was still a kid and unable to understand the depth of this conversation. Thank you so much for posting this Simi Ma'am!
I'm 17 and I have fleeting memories of this show and Simi Grewal. I grew up idolising her as the epitome of grace and poise. I have been spellbound by her, during the entire length of this interview. Of course, Benazir has been amazing...such a strong, determined woman. I wish she was alive and we could see her on the TV or the newspaper. Simiji , why don't you have season-2 of rendezvous? I miss this show....
Thank you Priyanka for your beautiful comment. I had to to respond the moment I read it. Actually we have already had 5 seasons of Rendezvous. There are about 140 episodes on TH-cam featuring politicians, stars, royalty, sportsmen and industrialists. Do try and catch up with them. Am planning to bring Season 6 later this year - pray all goes well..Simi
SimiGarewalOfficial I will definitely catch up with the past episodes the moment my boards are over. And here's hoping your show gets as much viewership as it got earlier. Godspeed!

She is a daughter of the East.. May Allah rest her soul in peace. Ameeeeeeeeen.... Now her great husband and children working to fulfill her dreams which she couldn't accomplish.
@10:02 ; A chill ran down my spine, hearing her speak of Death - in that manner - casually,as a woman that had survived razor-sharp calls with death before. It maybe un-intentionally happened upon, but it is none-theless one that resonates well. If we only knew then what we know now. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Bhutto.
Benazir bhutto, she is the symbol of strength, courage, knowledge, vision, patience and integrity. I have never seen such talented woman having a great experience of world politics. We lost a gem unfortunately 😔 History will remember you Mam.
Ma'am, ever since the first Rendezvous I watched, each episode has made me your biggest fan. You are the best host I've ever seen. I've always admired your charismatic poise and empathetic approach. Your interviews are all legendary golden records of the 20th century that our generation must experience. Thank you sooo much ma'am for such informative interviews. Beautiful! Absolute soulful and intense piece of conversation this was.. Simi, I am a huge fan of your show and I love the touch of class you add to your conversations, you make them come alive.. I have loved all your episodes but this one was the most eloquent of all.. Having to see you and Mohtarma Bhutto in a dialogue was like Elegance meeting Grandeur. I can go on watching this episode endlessly. Its when I am too restless and tired with this journey called life, I just pull up an episode of Rendezvous and just so miraculously feel rejuvenated and redeemed by the end of it. Talk shows are umpteen, but the aura and rejuvenating touch that you have makes you and your show so unique. You touch lives; at least mine you sure do. How it makes me wish had I been a celebrity, I would have loved to be sitting on the couch there and unfolding every bit of my life to you.. Loads of love, Zainab ☺
The greatest episode I had ever seen of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto always living legend in our hearts. And Simi grewal the amazing host at that time. And now we need Simi grewal as a host.
I just rejoice when she says I walked in air "beautifully defined." .her journey from a girl to Pm . Thank you Semi ji , you are just extraordinary! For you are reaching to us most of d powerful ppl of subcontinent . Benezir Bhutto I found her so sensitive strong and beautiful soul 🙏
Just watched 3 interviews by Simi ji. You know the mannerism, decency the decorum on when you interview a guest without them feeling nervous or tensed, as if they're in safe hands or cradle singing lullaby and let them speak from the heart nothing seem pretentious felt was amazing. Loved that simplicity yet with a class.
I've never watched anything related to politics in Pakistan, but I have to say this is a kick-ass interview better than many by world renown figures. What an interesting figure BB was!
I really admired her all my life except the fact that she married Asif Zardari !! She was a charismatic lady with so much charm and strength !! Don't know what happened to the political party Z.A Bhutto established!!
It’s karma . She made inciting speeches to spew hatred in Kashmir valley against pandits , sikhs , Dogras . People were killed by islamists. Their only one mistake --they were not Muslims. Neighbors became traitors. Women were raped. I have zero sympathy for this lady.
What a treasure this interview is, thank you so much for doing this interview and uploading it on TH-cam. An irreparable loss for her country indeed but also for women all over the world.
oh my god!! no one could have interviewed such a wonderful lady like Simi. A warrior women Miss.Benazir, the tragedy of your life is put to an end and now you are happy with your father.
An amazing woman. Benebazar! I teach about her often in my multicultural college classes as a woman of immense courage, intelligence, pose, leadership, vision, and grace! A loss to the world but a model of bravery for girls and young women! Dr. Joanna (Jody) D. Iodice Atlanta, GA USA
This is the most wonderful interview I have seen. This was way back in the 90's and look at the grace, dignity and eloquent way in which these ladies carried themselves. I have no words to describe what I felt after watching this. Simi there can be noone like you. I had to Google and learn so many things about their family
Benazir become PM around 1992-93, even after seeing how all things happened since partition, her policy too is anti-India, she herself doesn't want to repair the things with india..Not even single PM in history of Pakistan had vision to lead the country and some of them are highly qualified.Benzir father Zulfikhar was also Islamist, he openly said in meetings Pakistan must be Islamist nation.. Pakistan today's situation just bcoz of their leader, army and ISI.
The same benazeer bhutto told Kashmiri Muslims to slaughter kashmiri pandits, dogras and non Muslim scheduled tribes. The speech made by her which was actually an incitement, is available on internet. Many pandits and a couple of Sikh families were lynched and slaughtered on the streets. The male members who left their houses never came back. Rest of them had to flee. The link th-cam.com/video/-vlPG1UjglA/w-d-xo.html
@@kunjandesai4341 exactly . But Indians simply don’t know this. Indians think she was charismatic and all. But the reality is benazeer literally instigated Kashmiri muslims against pandits and sikhs in 1989 and we had a massive exodus of kps. Such woman is a disgrace to her religion.

Simi Ma'am you are such an incredible woman... I've nver seen an interviewer who is so perfect so good as you.. Many episodesof rendezvous that you had done with so many celebs or politician or other great people are all soo good.. None of it was boring in fact it did provide us a great way to get to know about all these incredible guest who had come into the rendezvous with which we hardly know about them..and even their story behind.. But simi Ma'am you had help us reach these incredible people through your show. And to be honest I had personally learn so many lessons from these people and it had change me in so many ways. There are lots of emotional line in the show which they express it from the heart which is soo good... But all this is possible because of your charismatic your poise that you have and indeed your special gift of interviewing those people. I wish I can at least become something else like you one day.. Fantastic interview with one of the most amazing women of the world. I admire her courage and tenacity. Its a pity she had to die so young. Most of my myths about her is broken now! Kudos to the interviewer Simi Garewal. Well done!
I wonder how you manage to ask such questions which very few people would dare to ask to such type of persons. It's awesome to know the personal sides of these famous celebrities. Thank You Simi!!!
@@indranilsinha351 exactly. This woman was directly responsible for exodus of Kashmiri pandits and sikhs in 1989. She is not an example of woman empowerment but of a jihadi

Simi madam, after watching this interview., I have seen many other interviews also of Ms. Bhutto taken by Indian media. But let me tell you none of those are like this one. You are really lucky to have had this talk. One thing more, apart from watching interviews, I also read description many times and while reading it's like you only speaking. You are like a family member to many of us. My respect and love.
Simi Ji, You are a woman of class. I feel deprived that after such a long time I watched Rendezvous. You have interviewed some of my most favourite people in there and especially this one. BB Shaheed was a great woman. The greatness is not in the fact that she was the daughter of the man who transformed the nation from gallows to democratically ruled frontline state; rather it was her ability to make tough decisions, her brave nature, and after all her dedication to a social cause. I have had a rare opportunity to see her in a public gathering once; heard from the PPP elders and top govt. officials that she was a fearful leader and possessed such a charisma that even the toughest of bureaucrats would not say a word in front of her. You have done a great job by asking her questions related to her personal life as well as about the times of her father's death followed by being jailed. I haven't seen noone except you asking her those bold questions in such a pleasant way that she didn't feel it and answered all of them. I have gone through almost all the comments here. It seems some people still think that they can say anything in public without having a little feeling of responsibility at all. My request to all those who think this their right to say whatever they want to; about anything and anyone, please realise the fact that your comments exactly show how have you been brought up and from where you belong. This medium and other media must have some ethical rules which should never be violated. The person commented last and others before him, using foul language and describing distorted facts must be stopped from doing so. We live in a knowledge society and things must be discussed based on knowledge not on any rumour or baseless info. Thank you once again Simi ji for doing such an impactful series of talk show. Hats off to you!
You are one of the most nice host I have ever seen All the interviews taken by you are so much in depth makes people know each and every perspective ,thoughts of the guests
I was a kid when she was assassinated. Didn't know much about her then. Only knew the Prime minister of Pakistan had been killed. With this video I can say she was a wonderful woman with so much of confidence and a view to have a bright future for Pakistan. But Pakistan is a country where its citizens do not wanna change or move forward. And we can see the result. Anyways we have lost a great soul. May god give her place in heaven and she RIP.

Simmi Garewal decision to have this interview done is the best ever. This is recorded history for all who will study Benazir Bhutto to go back to. Very nice

The sound of Adhan in the background is so beautiful

This is one of the best interviews I have ever seen. Maybe because the woman being interviewed is herself a gem of a personality and also because the interviewer has a temperament which is so rare today. Simi, you were simply beautiful in this one.
and then her brother died while she was in power and didn't do anything to find who did it .How amazing she was
Madam Simi I hope you do this kind of interview again.

You translate your feelings very eloquently.
I am sorry that her demise has hurt you terribly too as she was your personal friend. Cheers to you and you elegant style of eking out the soul in the people you interview. God bless you

This is most beautiful interview of your show. Wht a lady she was ! Very beautiful elegant clam n composed. You can see the a small girl within her who just wants a very normal life. Despite her struggle was very big n her journey was great.
I am glad to have watched this when I was a kid and delighted to watch it again today. One of the best talk shows we have had.
I must confess that Simi Garewal has certain je ne sais quoi...she is able to bring out their unabashed persona to the fore with so much poise and grace...full credit to her for impeccable drafting of questions..the viewers can experience the whole gamut of emotions...kudos
90s seems so distant now.. Back when interviewers were actually interested in the answers..
Yeah from 2016 onwards 90s seems really really distant😢

Bhutto.

That's why she married him..because she was far too intelligent for him..but she couldn't foresee the treachery
Sometimes it happens.

My respect and love.
such a beautiful lady benjair was , RIP. god always gets back good peoples , its a fact
Benazir was class apart. And Simi one of the best interviewers
