i really dont know what am i doing wrong. ive read about create a simple minor 7th or 9th chord and take this chord and pitch it up or down 1-3 semitones.
but whenever i do it like that, it sounds like shit and not good at all. and no matter what tutorial i try, im super unhappy with the result.

If you pitch shift the chords, it changes the key of the chords. For example, you have a C minor chord and pitch shift it up 2 semitones it becomes a D minor chord. Now your chords are in D minor, you have to write the other elements aswell in the new key to harmonise with your chords. 1 semitone equals 100 cents. If you have a minor chord it requires extra tuning to turn it into a major chord and vice versa, sometimes it isn't even worth the hassle, most times imo not at all. Generally I try to keep in mind that minor chords turn well into other minor chords but not into major chords and vice versa, there are edge cases where you would wan't to turn minor chords into major chords but while learning I wouldn't focus on those.

What sample packs did you specifically use? You recommended some at the beginning but I can't find the specific amen you used for fruity slicer.

I checked, the sample is from a sample pack called breakcoresamples - Breakcore kit. I think I found it from reddit not sure tho, there is no sign of the author who made it and the kit has total of 14 samples and 3 of those are drums. My recommendation is to search around jungle/breakcore kits from reddit it might come up. Still it's just a amen break so if you like the sound of it try finding a simillar drum sound from other samples and rearrange them to your liking. Clean amens like this ain't so uncommon.

The reese I gave is a preset for a synth called Serum, u need to have serum installed to use it. Once u have it installed drop the file into the serum preset folder to use it.
