Hey everybody! Regarding the paintjob: I don't think the way it pops on camera really shows the full picture. In person, the bright teal you see in the hoop has a much more subtle, black and teal colour shifting look to it. It didn't show up at all when I tried to show it up close there but in person, in most lights, it almost looks fully blacked out. Hopefully that makes sense. Maybe it's the Gravity Pro goggles talking but it's really pretty amazing in person.
I don’t understand racket paint jobs as imo the only issue is to have a paint job that helps visibility when swinging to give visual feedback as much as a peripheral cue as anything else. Think why soccer balls are patterned. It is to show the player the spin. Imo the tip of the hoop should have an accent at the very least and for a while Wilson did it with the blade and a few of their rackets and it makes sense. I have all three gravities and the twin colour design or different reverse accents front and back I think are helpful. As for the colour who in their right mind likes teal? Personally I would love to see a racket aesthetic that has the edge of the rim highlighted only the rest black purely as a subliminal visual cue. I also play with the percept 97 and I cannot tell you how invisible that racket becomes when setting up. It is literally camouflaged from view. Not helpful. In the same way tecnifibre rackets make sense but it’s all a bit much of a blur. Meanwhile gloss please always.
2023 Gravity Pro user here Luca. More feel lighter head, more control. Egads, they sure sound to have nicely tweeked an already very good racquet. Stability was kind of lost in the shuffle. Has stability remained the same or improved with different head cap grommets. Or... has that lovely stability been reduced in all that tweeking? If I'm honest I prefer last year's paint job but will reserve judgement until the Teal is in the sunlight. Head sure has listened and actioned on what the public asked for. Good luck with that ankle! How they got more control same time more feel really compliments Head's engineering team. Remarkable achievement well done nice job Head. If that's bone you're waiting on in that ankle take Flax Seed Oil, bones mend quicker. If it's tendons/ligaments you want to eat more onions. Get well soon.
@@lartisan6274 the idea is to give a helpful cue not to create a kaleidoscopic headache. The pure strike is almost perfect if it had a bright fluoro tip. Asymmetrical designs that look like a kids colouring set has been used to exhaustion is not optimal. Also this isn’t a fashion accessory. It’s a functional tool but I doubt that is the motivation in marketing so many new frames.

Fantastic review as always and perfectly presented as always. Meanwhile I just don’t understand why you don’t play with a gravity? It’s hard maybe to choose given the choice you have but seeing your technique when would you ever not want to play with this racket. I understand that it’s fun to play with an aero or even a pure drive for the sheer fun of it and I would encourage everyone to do so but in terms of a racket responding to what you tell it to do this racket seems so perfect for you and your game. There are so many rackets that do a lot of the work for us but to feel that connection with the ball after making a full and fast swing when the kinetic chain is let loose is really surely what tennis should feel like. It’s like hitting a 300yard drive down the middle of a fairway. I know that so many rackets can achieve the same results particularly with decent technique but the feel and feedback we get is surely the whole point of playing. That’s the joy. For that reason it always disappoints me when people choose a racket to win rather than to play with if that makes sense. Having an edge given to you is kind of putting a cap on so many players development and having that moment for themselves. Effortless power should be coming from the player in zen flow state when the technique is invisible not the racket as a substitute. Thx again for all you posts. Excellent in every way.
Yeah I agree, the previous paint job was much much cleaner. Obviously I haven’t seen this one in person but so far I think the previous one looked much better
The 2023 Gravity Pro is my go to racquet atm. Has been nice to use after my old Prestige. There are times though where I'll admit the extra weight makes certain situations a bit tougher, such as when needing to flick my wrist through quickly, defending a deep shot to my backhand with a half volley. Kick serves could also be a bit better with some more spin. I'm looking at adding an Extreme Pro to my bag. Thoughts?
I went with the Sergetti method of stringing my 2024 Gravity Pro 100. I'd need to demo this stick to say whether I'd do that again. Without question though Sergetti really improved feel and touch on my 2024 Gravity Pro. Without picking up the 2025 I'm pretty sure it's the better racquet already. Head has clearly listened to it's critics. So that will make me demo the new one. A drastic racquet switch is inherently problematic. I don't see this switch as either, simply a better racquet in so many ways. Either players enjoy Sergetti method or they don't. There's nothing in between yes or no.
love your videos and reviews, can you review the 2025 pure drive. thinking of picking up. also maybe that wilson shift vs pure aero for top spin raquet.
Hi Luca, how much better does this feel when compared to the gravity 98? I currently use a ezone 98 and like u I find it way too muted! Also is the gravity 98 significantly better than the pro in terms of OHBH? Thanks!
I prefer the feel on this one but the 98 is also excellent. A little bit less pure and muted but no where near the Ezone 98. I do think the 98 will be much better for OHBH.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouvermakes sense, a lot faster through the air it sounds like. Does the 100 whistle when swung fast enough like the '98. Head seems obsessed with player's feedback of last shot (in a good way). So how much confidence did 2024 Gravity Pro give me... Enough to attempt and evolve my slice b/h and knife slice b/h. The fact the 2025 has more racquet speed is extremely tempting. More feel, enthralling unfortunately I doubt I'll agree on the aesthetic but who's really looking anyway. Do you think you would want to customize your 2025 GPro? 😉
Can we please address strings and how the frames are designed for a specific set up. What I mean is if you play with head hawk touch on a gravity the racket is elevated to an insane level. It’s literally impossible to hit a bad shot and the liveliness of the string new combined with its soft basic profile is insane. I would literally say that it’s like playing a completely different game. I would say the improvement is orders of magnitude better BUT after an hour it’s gone completely. So same string same racket plays completely differently once the string peaks and dies. Nothing we don’t know maybe but that is why we end up dumbing down the special quality of these rackets but not putting gut or changing strings after an hour. If you have never played with gut take any racket with real quality ie thin beam control and see how amazing it is. For so many reasons using parts of an animal for sport is going to be a deal breaker but finding a setting that is close is maybe the holy grail.
Exactly what you would expect from Luca talking about gravity pro 😅😅 Great video.. Will you review the tour as well or since you did the prototype video that got covered? If not, would you do a quick compare between both? Cheers
Great review! Will we be getting a gravity MP review? I'm intermediate so definitely haven't graduated to the pro sticks yet, but the speed and gravity MP have been a delight.
Luca I bought 2021 GPRO based on advice from a tennis shop in Toronto, went from a Wilson Blade to that it was a game changer for me Based on your review and Gladiators I Bought 2023 version from a shop in Toronto, even better! Not a huge difference but feel is better and a tad more maneuverable. You guys had a sale recently so I bought a second 2023 from you guys. I now have 3 Gpros, do I need a 2025? lol. Whats the percentage change here.
could you somehow make a comparison to the new gravity 98? I completely understand this kind of love to the racket but as well the downside in terms of missing support of generating power by the racket. I love the precision and control of this racket. but once I get tired I have problems to generate speed and power so I start thinking of using my older Gravity Tour. Do you think a combination of the pro and the new 98 make sense? once I am fully powered up I could use the pro and if I get tired I switch to the gravity tour. its sounds a bit stupid but I just enjoy the pro... unless I get tired. what do you think?
Can you give a little bit more details about if it's really worth switching from the previous generation ? Of course i will test it but i am still curious about that
I'm not sure it's worth it beyond a small difference in feel (personal preference based off of what I said in the review) and if you really like this paintjob.
I am looking to get a new racket, is it worth it to get the 2025 over the previous version (given the 2023 is on sale for half the price of the new one)
Hi Luca, thanks for the review! Any string recommendations for this racquet? I'm struggling with getting enough spin on attacking forehand shots to keep them in, and my rally balls are landing at the service line. I've only tried a full bed of Velocity MLT in my 2023 version so far. By the way, adding 7 grams of weight at 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) up the handle makes my racquet feel easier to use.
I'm considering purchasing between gpro and mp. It's like tuning the mp and putting it up as heavy as the gpro Which do you prefer, pure gpro? Is it only the difference between spin and control?
In summary if you are considering buying a discounted 2023 as compared to 2025 I would advise against, buy the 2025 I went from a Wilson Blade v7 to Head Gpro 2021 and it was a game changer. Based on Luca and other reviewer advice I went from 2021 to 2023 . Is it twice as good from 2023 to 2021 no. But it does feel a little better, the Auxetic technology makes the response of the racket feel different. Its like the difference between a rock hard mattress and a firm matress, you can feel the ball coming in to racket and leaving and you feel more connected. So I am glad I made the change. BUT one downside is the protection to the top of the racket. Very quickly the plastic broke away and the racket was not protected so I had to buy a new plastic grommet (what ever they are called). I feel like this will happen again and again. I wish I had known that before I bought it!!! Now the 2025 is out and Luca talks about this and the half cap grommets, but really the 2023 was a flaw that way. I have not played with the 2025 but my guess is they fixed this problem and making it sound fancier than it is, its a bug fix basically as well as a new paint job. I saw the 2025 at a store today the paint job looks ok. Maybe you need to see it in sun to blow you away
Am I correct in surmising that the changes are minimal to unnoticeable compared to the previous version? I was looking to get a gravity pro, but was waiting for the new one to drop so I wouldn't have fomo, but man I am not a fan of the bright color, the design of the 2023 version is so much more subtle & elegant. I am coming from the 360+ speed pro but I need something that allows me to use all my strength for my flat forehands and the speed pro just isn't stable enough even tho I added a lot of weight (that added a lot more power so now its difficult to keep the ball in). So the 2023 gravity pro it is, if the changes are next to nothing. Big fan of your nerdy reviews so cheers!
The difference is minimal, for sure. A tiny bit more pure ball feel. The one thing I will say is that the paintjob is way more subtle in person. The teal is colour shifting with black and the black is way more powerful in most lights.
@ cool. I currently play with the Origin (yes I know, but I was given it by Babolat before release🫣) - looking for more control, while keeping some of the heaviness. Have a one handed backhand so the 18x20 might work better
Are the new cap grommets longer, protecting the frame more at 10 and 2? I see that on your old frame, you've worn through the paint job. I've written to Head mentioning that the grommets are too short. Other models have properly sized grommets. I'd hate to ruin that beautiful paint job.
@ So basically just like the current version. I switched to the Gravity Pro recently and serving is better compared to the VcorePro 18x20 from 2019 that I’ve used to use. Also, the comfort is better but slicing&volleying was actually better with the Yonex. (In my opinion.)
Love the previous version, but too unwieldy.. funny you said good on serves. I'm a big and strong guy, but I found getting the right racquet head speed on serves tough with the Gravity, night and day when you compared it to the Ezone 98. I absolutely loved it.. but it didnt bring my best tennis. Need to try the 98!
GPro GPro GPro GPro ❤😅 Re. SW, I got myself an Aux one curious about lower SW. guess what? It came off the shelf with exactly same 338 SW as my original first gen 360+ So guys, get your racquets measured if you care and not going to beef it up anyway!
I am using GPro 2023 from about an year with Alu power, PTP and now recently a hybrid of PTStrike mains and PTP crosses with 50 and 48T. Love it. Since May 2024, have purchased blade v9 16*19 with AluPower at 52T and god its the holy grail. It surpassed Gpro in Power, Control, Spin and especially maneuverability. Most importantly, my arms and shoulders dont sprain anymore. Use PTP also on blade, same feedback with better spin and softer feel. Blade v9 has pushed my Gpro to second tier and I won 4.0 summer ultimate champion and came runner up in T2, based from Atlanta, so it is pretty competitive.
Imagine being a first time tennis enthusiast and stumbling into one of these tennis video hearing "chalky, mushy, noodly" to describe racquets. They'd be so confused 😂😂 @@RacketsRunnersVancouver
I used to play the Gtour 360+ because the Pro was just too heavy for me. I “fixed” that by getting a TGT at a 325 strung SW. the heft was fixed but it just lost its magic. Was so flimsy and underpowered.
hey luca how about head gravity MP 2025 and ezone 100 2025? currently using blade V8 98 16x19, thinking about to try 100sq racket haha, i am play tennis for “ feel “ hahahaha 😆

Is this your favourite Gravity so far (compared to previous editions)?
Tough to say. They're all so good and quite similar but by paint-job alone I would say yes, probably.
@ cool. I currently play with the Origin (yes I know, but I was given it by Babolat before release🫣) - looking for more control, while keeping some of the heaviness. Have a one handed backhand so the 18x20 might work better
Can you compare between this and PERCEPT97?
but... you racquet of choice is still the boom, isn't it? Which version/year, by the way?
Are the new cap grommets longer, protecting the frame more at 10 and 2? I see that on your old frame, you've worn through the paint job. I've written to Head mentioning that the grommets are too short. Other models have properly sized grommets. I'd hate to ruin that beautiful paint job.
at least a top 3 paint job among the frames I've ever seen
no way I can swing the pro, waiting for the tour and mp review
Love your videos! Can you do a comparison between the new gravity tour and the pro?
Yes, for sure!
Prestige is so beautiful. And speed legend too
Great review from the video I can see you're a good player!
Thank you!
Wilson Ultra v4 takes the paint job prize for me.
How about serves and slicing?
It serves very big and slices are amazing as you would expect with a thin beamed, 18x20.
PLEASE DO A SPEED LEGEND VS GRAVITY 2025
Good call!
Good stuff like always
Thank you
How it comes that paintjob affects the feel? I thought that's just a color
Different paint finishes can change the feel a little bit. Glossy tends to mute things down a little less than matte paint.
Compare with the TOUR 98 🚀🚀🚀🚀🌍🌎🌏
GPro GPro GPro GPro ❤😅
Re. SW, I got myself an Aux one curious about lower SW. guess what? It came off the shelf with exactly same 338 SW as my original first gen 360+
So guys, get your racquets measured if you care and not going to beef it up anyway!
I wil Buy. Big Fan of the Gravity, but struggle with 100 Head, so I Play the percept 97 the Most time.
Merry chrismas
Extension: Solinco Whiteout V2 Looks good too.. 🧐
Also, try Yonex Percept 97D. It is a phenomenal racket!!!
What is your current racket of choice?
What’s a chalky feel?
I don't really know how better to explain it it just kinda has a chalky quality to it.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver right but what does chalky mean haha. Should I get a piece of chalk and try to hit a ball with it 😂?
@@brunis_m you know when you're putting chalk on a pool cue? It kinda feels like that (obviously way more subtle)
Imagine being a first time tennis enthusiast and stumbling into one of these tennis video hearing "chalky, mushy, noodly" to describe racquets. They'd be so confused 😂😂 @@RacketsRunnersVancouver
G Pro user here. Indeed it's a racket good for attacking, defense is an issue. But I can't find a replacement, the feel in this one is just too good.
Now, give us the Gravity MP and Tour revieeeeews! :D
Yes, will do!
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver When are those reviews droppin? And maybe some take on the Gravity line vs. Ezone.
Girls, find yourselves a guy that loves you like Luca loves this racket lol. 😂 Just kidding, great review.
😂😂
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Looks very similar visually to the Wilson Ultra Pro V4.
review the gravity tour 98 2025 the official look and the mp
Pure drive 2025 review please
Yes, as soon as I can release it!
I used to play the Gtour 360+ because the Pro was just too heavy for me. I “fixed” that by getting a TGT at a 325 strung SW. the heft was fixed but it just lost its magic. Was so flimsy and underpowered.
Yeah, it really needs the swing weight for that plow through and stability magic to shine. High 320s is the minimum for me.
"the beautiful part of tennis more fun" 😎
now i see why they sell the 2023 for a very very good price. I think the 2025 will be double the price not sure if its worth
hey luca how about head gravity MP 2025 and ezone 100 2025?
currently using blade V8 98 16x19, thinking about to try 100sq racket haha, i am play tennis for “ feel “ hahahaha 😆
I haven't played with either yet, unfortunately, but as soon as I get my hands on them I'll do a review.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver ok luca.. thank you
You keep comparing to previous Pro's and MP,'s while it's a Tour!
It's RIDICILOUS.
Unless this version looks significantly better in person, the previous version is easily the winner in the looks department.
I gotta say it does look way better in person. The teal doesn't pop nearly as much making it way more subtle + glossy.
The racket that can cure your ankle
I wish 😅
Don’t see how it is much different from a Prestige Pro, except the head shape.
Much more easy stability, power and spin.
@RacketsRunnersVancouver Okay, thanks, I just wonder why is that, they seem so similar on paper, is the mold so different for the Gravity?
Will never compete with the ultra pro (paint wise)
The gravity pro line is super good, but nobody below usta 5.0 should be playing with it. nobody
As The4.0Guy I resemble that remark
That's probably accurate unless you are fine knowing you're probably swinging a racket that's too heavy.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver I really wish they didn't make the new Gravity Tour a 98 inch frame. Seems like TW has exclusive rights to the outgoing Tour model; it's not available in shops
I’m sorry, how can you say this new gravity “most beautiful racket” but it’s actually a copy of Wilson Ultra Pro?
What so good about the paint job 😂 The previous one was way better
It's funny because in person I would say the new one is 100x nicer. The teal that you see is way more subtle because it colour shifts with black.
@@RacketsRunnersVancouver maybe you have to see it in person. So far whatever reviews I have seen on YT, they certainly don't look that impressive on videos at least!
Day 287 of waiting for the Percept 100D review
Ahaha we still don't carry it, sorry 😅
@ fair enough then 🙏
Head gravity 98 THOR
I love how the newbies want a ‘black frame’ so they can pretend to have an exclusive prototype frame 😂😂😂
fourth
No - it is not the most beautiful - Wilson Ultra Pro v4...
With this headshape it cannot be the Most beautiful racket ever sorry🤣🙈
OMG why they aded this shity color, blacked was so much better
Meh, just seems like he is talking about the characteristics of a classic old school players racquet, whats so special here?
Sounds good. I am happy that Head decided to make some changes to weight distribution. Thanks 🫶
