Acura TL is one of the best cars ever, hands down. Don't care about the price, don't care about the maker. Find me any car in history, driving the TL around is likely to be just as fun. Reliable AWD all season racecar with no blindspots and good ground clearance. This build is phenomenal. You drive this in the winter? I'm going to add a supercharger to mine but no bodykit so I can drive it in the winter.

How's the rust underneeth for 400k km? Such a nice TL! Bought mine 3 yrs ago for, wife's car. Daily all year round. At 253kms now. Krown rust proof has helped keep the rust mostly just surface rust. Just got the timing belt done today too. Such a great amazing all around car I hope to get 10+ yrs out of it for sure!
Surprisingly not bad at all! A few bolts/braces I’d like to powdercoat just to get the surface rust off, but really good for the mileage-the previous owner was pretty meticulous when it came to keeping the car clean! Love to hear about other higher mileage TL’s running strong, these things are awesome!
The 08 type s Im buying has 180k miles but I’m sure these cars can go for more miles if well-maintained right? I Google is saying somewhere around 250,000 to 300,000 miles then it might need a refresh at that point. What do you guys think? This TL is white and in relatively good condition and the service is done to include timing belt. Your car is a sleeper for sure and my STI is for the most part if you don’t look at the front. We were commenting back and forth on another video but I think I’m going to get that 08 type s 6 speed but it’s in white though so I might wrap it in black. I agree with you just build it if you blow it up. I’ve done it before lol. I’m subbed now as I would like to see more videos and I’ll be posting my type s if I get it.
I would check that the transmission has had its recommended services/flush done. Bad trannys affected TL’s from like the 90s-2015ish. It’s this cars Achilles heel tbh $$$

@@adventsociety5382I know it’s an old post but I ended up getting the 08 TLS 6 speed and it’s a fun car and I won’t be supercharging it but it feels pretty quick for what it is. It was stock so I didn’t intake, muffler delete and J pipe.

My bad man just seeing this-you can 100% daily a Type-S no problem, I still daily mine in the warmer months with it being boosted and I haven’t had a single issue! DRob is the man for tuning💪 Only reason I don’t drive it in the winter is because of all of the salt on the ground here in Ontario, completely destroys cars🥲
I think it would be fine as long as you don’t go too far over that 425whp mark on spray, but I honestly haven’t seen too many guys do it-would definitely be unique and surprise a lot of people!
At the power level I’m at, not really to be honest-I’ve seen guys running this kit for years with no issues whatsoever, but obviously more power=more stress on components so I’m sure there’s an argument that can be made that it’s “less reliable”, but the difference would be negligible if at all

They’re just generic Password JDM bumper clips drilled in! I believe you can get them for pretty cheap on Amazon, but just a heads up, the elastics they come with deteriorate pretty quick so I’d recommend zip ties🤙
u think the 18x9.5 wheel and 225/40 tire setup would sit similar on a 07 accord ? or should i go 18x8.5? i goin for the lil bit of poke look and still able to sit low without crazy rubbing

The bad autos are the pre 2007’s, and the Type-S has an additional trans cooler(‘07/‘08 base might a well, not sure) so they’re honestly not bad at all-I’ve beaten the absolute hell out of this one since boosting it and it’s held up perfectly fine, never skipped a beat!

I recently bought an 06 TL, I’m planning on doing some mods on it, not sure how the engine/ transmission would withstand to any NOS injection though

i got a TL SH AWD, looking to mod it. Just wondering what type of power you can run on a stock motor?
I think up to 500whp is doable on stock internals, but between the 400-450whp mark if you’re looking to daily drive it just to keep it safe IMO!
