As a slayer main who using one handed(not dual) axe and throwing axe, I love your detail. Good old detail with warpick. Not gonna lie a lots of things you did really only work with solo, I can sense those. Edit: Im a cata difficulty only player.
Something tells me that you either find the map easier to complete solo or you just like the map in general, and i gotta agree on the latter, it's a pretty nice map! ;)
It's reasons like this that I STILL love playing slayer. He just always feels so good in any pitched fight, and you can kill effectively whatever is in front of you
Vermintides weapons are really weird. You'd think the blunt weapon would be better against armored enemies and worse against crowds, and the bladed weapons would be better against crowds cause they can cut through. But at least for bardin's case its the reverse. Blunt weapons are crowd control and blades are for single enemies.
I have a memory with this weapon. It was when I was newer to the game and played mainly champion quickplay. Someone actually told me off because I kept dying while using pickaxe on ranger and told me to stop trolling and pick a better weapon like 2h hammer. Champion quickplay. Amazing 😂 I don’t use the pickaxe anymore though since then, besides hitting dummies.
I love using throwing axes, but I wish they would buff them for better use on the Slayer. It's not fair that they are far more suited on RV when they are clearly crude and rough meant to for the Slayer.
Wish you could melee with em like Let's new weapm or at the very least block. I'd imagine they'd have to make the long distance throw like a charged attack so so the block button to be available
I think it will perform well in a squad, but it will still be difficult to deal with hordes in Solo or in isolation. I think it needs to be used in conjunction with a good staff.

I personally love the attacks of the pick. Find myself using that over the coghammer (also can't stand really meta weapons)
u need to play meta on cata 3 dwons, on official realm u can do anything and win the map. and meta weapons makes cataclysm easy mode.
I don't think you need to worry about META. Pursue a style you enjoy.
