I remember reading a theory that the one piece was basically something that would break the barriers between the four seas and the world "one piece" and also create the all blue at the same time. I've only just finished the Sky Island arc in the anime but that theory made a lot of sense to me
If they’re splitting Alabasta into 2 seasons that’s just way too much content to complete the entire manga. There’s over 100 volumes of the manga and it isn’t finished yet, Alabasta ends in the 20s if I remember right. I’m excited if they can pull this off but tv companies rarely give shows that long of a runway to tell their story. It’d be a shame if they had to speed run future arcs because they’re all so unique and awesome. Fingers crossed Netflix can pull it off bc the cast and crew seem game to go all the way.
I think we’ll get 7 seasons and they will end it at the time skip season 3 Alabasta, season 4 Skypiea, Season 5 water 7 and ennies lobby, season 6 thriller bark and sabaody, season 7 impeldown and marineford
no alabasta is season 3 alone they are teasing it tho for season 2 since alot of characters get introduced before alabasta starts i think they should speed run the show to get to the time skip and end it with like a final teaser telling everyone 3d2y

The show runners said they are planning to do for 6 seasons but even then they will only adapt the half of the source materials (current half of manga). They said they have a lot of source materials and they won't waste it. Manga will still going for around next 7 years and everyone still don't know what One Piece is. That is good for One Piece TH-cam content creators. Those TH-camrs will never run out of contents for next 10 years and can make sht tons of money from One Piece contents alone. The show runner, Matt Owen got the chance from Oda to learn what One Piece is but he refused to know it and want to enjoy the journey along with others. But once One Piece treasure reveal, the internet will break. Nobody still can predict what the ending of One Piece would be. The ending will be HUGE and it will break every records.
I wonder if the live action will get too cg heavy. The further into the story, the crazier the scenes get. Not to mention devil fruit powers will be on screen a lot more. I hope it works. I really dig season 1
Alabasta is my favorite arc, am so hype for season 3. If season 2 goes well, i think this will become the largest show out there. And seeing Netflix seeing how successful season 1 was, i have no doubts they will let them do their thing, and give them the support they need.
So for arabasta vs alabasta for the name of the island, it's a translation technicality that comes up for the Manga a lot. Japanese as a language doesn't have a proper L sound, and instead use an R sound so substitute it, because when anunciated properly it sounds like an L sound. It happens even to this day with translation in the Manga ironically in reverse with Zoro's name, often being mistranslated to Zolo because of this very phenomenon.

Laboon (the giant whale) is after reverse mountain and vivi’s introduction is after that. And little Garden doesn’t have a bunch of giants it has 2 and it’s important because it’s where Nami gets sick and it’s also where usopp befriends his first giants, and mister 3 is introduced but I could see them skipping it or cutting it down

It's an old 90's sitcom and also did the voice acting as Leela in Futurama and Gemma Teller Morrow on "Sons of Anarchy.. I was hoping Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr Kureha because she is familiar with the manga. But I'm ok Katey Sagal.
Galdino's(🕯️ Candle Man/Crocodile's subordinate/Mr.3) Actor is perfectly casted, you could see how he will act just like he was in Ant-Man movies, they have the same vibe of character
IIRC it wasn't that they ran out of budget to do loguetown, but rather that Netflix originally gave them an episode order of 10 episodes but later cut that down to 8, but the overall budget remained the same, meaning they had more budget per episode, but less time in which to tell the story and thus had to basically scrap their plan for those last two episodes entirely. This happened early enough in the process that they couldn't possibly have gone through their budget, or even have a solid enough plan for how to spend it, that running out of money simply couldn't have been a driving concern behind the decision.
The fact that we are seeing Crocus in this new season is huge. Obviously we will more than likely see Laboon, but does that maybe mean we will get a flashback to see The Rumbar Pirates? (For those of you that know, you know who I’m talking about.) Oh my god I can’t wait for season 2.
I doubt they'd show the important Rumbar pirates just because of uncertain casting for characters that far down the line. Maybe from the back. We could see the hair and know who it is.

Plus, one piece characters age like six years in two years, and few look their actual age anyways. Don't think anyone will look too out place if they wait two years before filming season 3. And sadly... Budget. It's unlikely they will get enough funding to write, direct, and film two seasons at once

Another clarification: Smoker doesn't need the smoke from his cigars to control, he himself can turn into smoke regardless if he was smoking or not

The show runners said they are planning to do for 6 seasons but even then they will only adapt the half of the source materials (current half of manga). They said they have a lot of source materials and they won't waste it. Manga will still going for around next 7 years and everyone still don't know what One Piece is. That is good for One Piece TH-cam content creators. Those TH-camrs will never run out of contents for next 10 years and can make sht tons of money from One Piece contents alone. The show runner, Matt Owen got the chance from Oda to learn what One Piece is but he refused to know it and want to enjoy the journey along with others. But once One Piece treasure reveal, the internet will break. Nobody still can predict what the ending of One Piece would be. The ending will be HUGE and it will break every records.

So for arabasta vs alabasta for the name of the island, it's a translation technicality that comes up for the Manga a lot. Japanese as a language doesn't have a proper L sound, and instead use an R sound so substitute it, because when anunciated properly it sounds like an L sound. It happens even to this day with translation in the Manga ironically in reverse with Zoro's name, often being mistranslated to Zolo because of this very phenomenon.

Laboon (the giant whale) is after reverse mountain and vivi’s introduction is after that. And little Garden doesn’t have a bunch of giants it has 2 and it’s important because it’s where Nami gets sick and it’s also where usopp befriends his first giants, and mister 3 is introduced but I could see them skipping it or cutting it down
Can’t wait to see who they cast as Doflamingo, I really love him

I was hoping Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr Kureha because she is familiar with the manga. But I'm ok Katey Sagal.

IIRC it wasn't that they ran out of budget to do loguetown, but rather that Netflix originally gave them an episode order of 10 episodes but later cut that down to 8, but the overall budget remained the same, meaning they had more budget per episode, but less time in which to tell the story and thus had to basically scrap their plan for those last two episodes entirely. This happened early enough in the process that they couldn't possibly have gone through their budget, or even have a solid enough plan for how to spend it, that running out of money simply couldn't have been a driving concern behind the decision.
The fact that we are seeing Crocus in this new season is huge. Obviously we will more than likely see Laboon, but does that maybe mean we will get a flashback to see The Rumbar Pirates? (For those of you that know, you know who I’m talking about.)

I doubt they'd show the important Rumbar pirates just because of uncertain casting for characters that far down the line. Maybe from the back. We could see the hair and know who it is.

Plus, one piece characters age like six years in two years, and few look their actual age anyways.
Don't think anyone will look too out place if they wait two years before filming season 3.
And sadly... Budget. It's unlikely they will get enough funding to write, direct, and film two seasons at once
