La popularidad de esta banda en Chile se debe en gran parte a su generosidad a la hora de promover su LP. El disco fue distribuido gratuitamente a varias Funzines chilenas y sumado al excelente sonido y los sublimes temas fueron unos de los mas preciados exponentes del Death por estos lares. En lo personal todavía me resuena ese bajo y esos timbales en los sesos, como sonaba ese vinilo conchemimare!!!!!

Buena. Recuerdo que un generoso me lo copió a un Maxell que aún guardo como tesoro. Se veían hartos tipos paseándose con ese vinilo en el Paseo Las Palmas.
Lo escuche en la misma época que salio, y desde ahí es uno de mis top ten.
La mensa cuea tener ese ANTI-MOSH 001 en estos días.
Carbonized brought me here, and I ain't mad. This is so killer. Brings me back to the golden late 80s early 90s, complete with those concert tom drum fills.

yuyuhaki1 I remember purchasing Abruptum’s 2nd album on EBay and paying $50 for it. I dig them ‘cause they were so unique mixing Black Metal with the agonizing ambience.
The "true" first press is the one with the red ring around it, which took me nearly 6 years to find one and an entire month's worth of my paycheck.
I have 0 regrets.
Collectors fuck up the essence in metal.
I got the reissue then record it on a tape and then bought new walkman for the tape and all that for 120$.
Fuck collectors.
the use of key changes throughout the album is very good. it is a big part of what makes it very good music.
Hands down one of the top 3 best bands ever to emerge from Sweden
you should listen to bathory, opeth and bloodbath if you think they are one of the top 3 bands from Sweden. but yes, merciless is pretty fucking good too.

this and Morbid Saint sounds very alike, its the greatest thrash and death metal mix ever

A pesar d no haber contado con estos adelantos , por el contrario , en la más penosa precariedad , estos desgraciados y todos eran valorados mucho más , por su esfuerzo , ingenio en recursos , dedicación , amor y obvio su creación en un nuevo estilo musical el cual ahora la mayoría d las nuevas bandas creen ser dioses , si dioses en copiar lo q estos verdaderos proceres del metal les indicaron el camino. So it just happend that I got it from him.
Think I paid 120kr.
Now it goes for 1500, if not more.

Classic Early Thrash/Death Metal. I do like it alot. Reminds me of early Morbid Angel(i.e altars of madness) and Possessed( i.e seven churches) Love the grotesque reverb drenched vocals.

Agressor - Neverending Destiny is another good spastic fast thrash/death album like this.
The first Merciless album I bought was "The Treasures Within." Can't remember if I bought Deceased's "Luck of the Corpse" before or after that. Black and Death metal for me, for life \m/

Very underrated classic that flew under the radar of most people. In my opinion better than all the bigger death/thrash bands. Never gets boring, perfection.
This album is trash. Fast doesn’t translate to good song writing.

This is actually BETTER than old Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, etc.
Merciless delivered the best early european thrash/death of those times, I you ask me.
It is no better than Kreator or Destruction just another great band !
this is maybe a darker version of Sadus. and extremely fast, but you cannot compare this to "persecution mania" or coma of souls·its like comparing a rabid dog beside a trained german shepperd..cheers!

You can compare this to those albums if you want. Persecution Mania is really great album. Still in my humble opinion The Awakening is waaayyy better then the platters of Sodom and Kreator. More evil, raw, darker, faster. And Coma of Souls is utterly crap record i hate that record! Looks completly emo compared to this. Those German shephards will be killed by this pure wolf.

I know you are not speaking to me but 'Coma of Souls' is on its own league (tech thrash) there it doesn't make sense to compare with full-throttle albums like this one or Kreator etc. (I know you did not compare though, and he did name it considering quality-wise) 'Coma of Souls' is one of the best tech thrash album ever done and overally a bit better album than 'Extreme Aggression' for me.
Saw this vinyl second hand in the vinyl shop just under my placem.will check conditions and see

Whoever started blasting on that snare as if the world was gonna end soon and blasting away on trhat snare was the only thing keeping his waist blasting away at some hungry std ridden pussy ( Siege from Boston ,a punk band started all this blast beats bs as far as I know. )Then bands like REpulsion, Napalm Death moved it to grindcore, Morbid angel to death metal and yeah ... the std moved to classics like Mayhem´s "de Mysteriis dom sathanas " ; Immortal´s "pure holocaust" etc etc
