This album is fucking great. Definitely influenced by KREATOR's pleasure to kill album. Vocalist sounds very similar to Mille Petrozza. Love those blackened screams. \m/
The first Merciless album I bought was "The Treasures Within." Can't remember if I bought Deceased's "Luck of the Corpse" before or after that. Black and Death metal for me, for life \m/

Fernis ss I know you are not speaking to me but 'Coma of Souls' is on its own league (tech thrash) there it doesn't make sense to compare with full-throttle albums like this one or Kreator etc. (I know you did not compare though, and he did name it considering quality-wise) 'Coma of Souls' is one of the best tech thrash album ever done and overally a bit better album than 'Extreme Aggression' for me.
I love the days when the distinction between death and black metal was less pronounced, such that early death metal had a blackish sound--though not as hybridized as actual blackened death metal.
Whoever started blasting on that snare as if the world was gonna end soon and blasting away on trhat snare was the only thing keeping his waist blasting away at some hungry std ridden pussy ( Siege from Boston ,a punk band started all this blast beats bs as far as I know. )Then bands like REpulsion, Napalm Death moved it to grindcore, Morbid angel to death metal and yeah ... the std moved to classics like Mayhem´s "de Mysteriis dom sathanas " ; Immortal´s "pure holocaust" etc etc
Very underrated classic that flew under the radar of most people. In my opinion better than all the bigger death/thrash bands. Never gets boring, perfection.
