Eugene himself said it was the reason he didn't want to really discuss it, because he's so exhausted by having to have the same convos over and over. For me, it seemed like Keith was trying to steer the convo away from Eugene's emotional exhaustion.

She could have had the baby, she could be having complications, they could be vegging on the couch taking some tlc before baby comes. We don’t know and it’s disrespectful to speculate.

My entire family got Covid. I’m 16 and I am being more responsible than my parents. I am doing everything I can to keep myself, my family, and other people safe. But other people’s selfishness is punishing me. This virus has affected my mental health tremendously. And even though we got sick, my parents are STILL trying to figure out how to see family for thanksgiving. And no matter how hard I try to get them to understand, they won’t listen. They ignore me. My father thinks masks don’t work. My mother is gaslighting me for being upset with her, because she is the one who got us all sick. I don’t know what else to do to make them understand the severity of this virus. I feel hopeless. PLEASE; stay home for Thanksgiving. Do your meal over a zoom call. Seeing your family is not worth potentially exposing them to this deadly virus.

Hey, I’m going through a similar thing right now because my whole family got covid too. Luckily my parents are doctors so they understand the dangers of covid, but they were being weirdly lax abt it. I was trying to quarantine in my room so I wouldn’t get it, and my family was very supportive, but they also had the mindset of “if I were you I’d be licking the counters, you’re going to get it anyway, may as well get it out of the way”
And they were very good with keeping those outside our household safe, it was just very frustrating that they had a mindset of ‘just get it over with it’s nbd’ when it can be so dangerous and lead to so many health issues in the future. (Especially being the young one like you said, I’m 16 too)
We luckily are all alright, but please PLEASE, stay safe and smart. Don’t travel, it’s not worth it. Follow the CDC. And give extra attention and care to high risk people and respect them and their safety

@@lovella3914 Honestly I was just now watching their other podcast about mental health. He talked about it and how it is deeply rooted in his childhood. He only eats in front of the camera if the other guys or his fans pressure him to, and as someone who used to have an eating disorder, I understand the feeling. I mean we can ask him to, I was just letting people know in the comments since it is still sorta fresh information. Not everyone watched it and knows yet. I just wanted to let people know so that we don't pressure him past his limits or anything.

For thanksgiving, Zoom has lifted their 40 minute limit on free accounts so anyone can see family for free for as long as they want.
My grandfather has cancer and this will most likely be his last Christmas but my family is still not doing our usual Christmas eve tradition because there's like twenty of us and no one wants to risk getting sick, especially getting grandpa sick. It sucks we're going to miss spending it with him but the risk just isn't worth it. I don't understand how people can even consider spending the holidays with their families, especially if they're traveling for it.

I think there’s situations where it makes sense and/or it’s unavoidable. I’m going to nyc to see my mom (I’m 14), but I’m taking precautions. I’ve been quarantined and I’m going to quarantine after. We know who’s in our bubble and will get tested (if it’s possible). There is ways to do it safely, but the issue is nobody is really doing that. Anyone I’m seeing outside my bubble will be masked and socially distant. Also, I’d like to say that I’m so sorry. You’re very strong for knowing that if you can’t do it safely, you just can’t do it. I wish more people were like you and I hope everything goes okay.

i mean this in a very gentle and kind way, but harry styles has stated that he is not ‘cis’ or ‘straight’. he hasn’t been like on the cover of the gay times with it so i understand that it falls through the cracks, but him doing this with his dresses and stuff isn’t a straight guy wearing a dress, it’s someone assigned male at birth that’s continuing to explore his gender/gender expression. regardless, i agree with your points about how the conversation around his vouge cover is being continuously turned back into the ‘correct’ way to be masculine and feminine. love the ep.
I agree! I was asking myself during the episode if they know that Harry is queer (he doesn’t label himself) and exploring his gender identity. I do definitely think this conversation has not started with and is not about him, but he’s not just a cishet man who wore a dress for once.

@T. Dee my neighbor has a cat that hangs out on my porch and I feed. He hangs out outside all day and most likely at night. My neighbor tries to let him inside but he’s afraid of dogs and doesn’t eat at her house because she feeds other strays. I consider him my outside cat even though it technically belongs to her.

Can we just talk about what Keith said about schools being open!? My city doesn’t have any more room in the hospitals and yet it’s ok to cram 1000 students into one building. I’m ok with repeating a grade or working from home but I am not ok with shouldering the deaths and hospitalizations of the vulnerable people in my community. How are young people supposed to do our part if our government is not behind us.

@@nadiar.4638 I completely understand where you're coming from. School's important especially for young kids. The thing is if it's being spread by young adults it can be spread by teens too. A lot of my friends, me included, have vulnerable people at home. If I get it, I get sick, if my immunocompromised grandma gets it or her friends get it, they die. I just want to be able to help prevent that rather than spread it.
Couple things on the cat:
-You can't always feel microchips! Need to get kitty scanned to be sure. They can migrate over time and can go deeper into the subcutaneous layer as time goes on.
-Probably a female in heat - PLEASE get her spayed!
-Please take this kitty in or adopt her out - not fair to leave a friendly, sociable cat outside when it could have a great home.
Taking a cat in isn't always an option, I recently had to hand my cat off because my roommate couldn't stand her. It also adds a lot of money into rent which many already can't afford. If you make the argument of "you're obligated to adopt them", then arn't you obligated to say "you must actively adopt every animal in the shelter or you're an awful person", like there's no line with that type of argument.
Be carefull with getting "stray cats" spayed.
Until you know 100% for sure she is a stray, cause maybe you are spaying a cat that has an owner who doesnt want their cat to be spayed.
I didnt want my cat to be neutered, because he had some hip problems when he was young and the vet said he had to outgrow those problems and he wouldnt if we neutered him. And I didnt want him outside our garden anyway, I've seen to many cat be hit by cars. So we tried to make sure he couldnt leave the garden, but cats are sneaky and he escaped a couple times. Luckily he listens to his name, so I found him again. But you have to be carefull when you find a stray

Yas Eugene go off!! I always think about how people just reinforce gender roles/stereotypes by saying someone isn't masculine or feminine enough, like we're not actually going anywhere with those insults cuz in the end we just enforce their views.

Harry styles has hinted as being bi in songs and said in interviews he just doesn’t want to label himself. He’s quite private about actual life details but his lyrics are often his way of communicating with his fans. The song “She” I personally interpreted it as being him singing about fantasising about getting to know and explore his feminine side.

So it’s not just him having his fun in a dress without any risk to himself. Yes those walking around alone or in public more often are experiencing more abuses and dangers but Harry is not immune to that on just another level.
Anyway I agree with them. Just felt I had to say Harry eludes to not bring a straight man quite often and he’s not just getting to safely express himself. People knowing he does that still puts him at risk when he’s dressed more traditionally masculine.

Feeling for microchips, even in cats, is never accurate. They're only about the size of a grain of rice and can move especially in larger cats. ALWAYS take to a vet or shelter and ask them to scan if you can - it's the most reliable way.
Also, if you pick up a stray make sure your cats are vaccinated and either keep the stray separate as much as possible or vaccinate if old enough
Maybe try using a phone collar, we use this at the animal rescue organisation I volunteer at. When a cat looks healthy and has been hanging around a house for some time and it doesnt have a microchip, we give them a collar with on it the phone number of the organisation and the request if the owner could give us a call so we know the cat has an owner. We also advise the person who found the cat that they dont feed it anymore, cause the cat might not go home if it keeps getting fed.
If no one has called after 6 to 8 days, we can assume the cat doesnt have an owner or the owner doesnt live near where the cat was found. So at that point we can take the cat with us to see if missing pets websites might have their picture up and after 3 weeks of not finding an owner, it can be adopted by a new family

Fashion is completely arbitrary, we just get bombarded with shit since we’re children and then have to unlearn it. I had the weirdest aversion to buttondowns when I ID’d as a woman and since I came out as agender last year, it is my favorite thing to wear. And I’ve always liked various masculine things (ties, certain styles of bag), but that was a complete block for me.
I totally agree with you but I feel like there's a distinction that has to be made. Women wearing pants falls into a large list of things that reinforces the idea that women behaving "more like men" it is considered an upgrade because it means that women are becoming better/less feminine. Whereas when men do things that are deemed feminine it is considered a downgrade from the typical standard.

in my city in Canada we are shutting everything down so the cases don't get to bad, so we can keep the schools open. as someone in highschool who has went through completely virtual school earlier this year, I definitely do not want the schools to close back down again. the Canadian government recognizes how important school is. I love the cat talk. My cat decided to be an outdoor cat after we got our second dog. He stops by a few times a week for food. He also disappeared for 4 months, then returned. Before that, he ran wild at night and sleep under our bed during the day. He’s just wild!

I'm a new nurse on a Covid floor in Ohio and I haven't seen my family since January. They were supposed to drive up from Florida to see me for Thanksgiving. As a person who lives alone and really feeling the impact of being alone during the pandemic, I was really looking forward to seeing my family after almost a year. I had to make the call last week (even though my family was willing to come) that my family stay home because I felt the risk of them getting Covid on the road or even from me is just not worth it. We're still months away from a vaccine being approved and disrupted and still, that's not a cure-all or guarantee that Covid will be gone forever.
Please people, y'all need to listen and respect the guidelines put in place not only to keep you safe, but others around you. As lonely as I am right now and will be this year for the holidays, I would much rather be around my family next year.
PS: What's also scary is that you can have Covid and the flu at the same time 😬

I really wish the guys had a serious version of the podcast because I absolutely love it when they delve into the deep stuff. However, they always inevitably deviate away from serious talk because this is supposed to be a comedy podcast. Tbh, I enjoy their real talk more, it's great that they're all naturally funny and that can play into a would-be serious version of the podcast, but I would love to see a more free-speech no strings attached type of thing.
As a chronically ill person who lives with chronically ill people, I took all the precautions to not get sick but I still got exposed. I got Covid from my young niece and nephews who went to their mom for the weekend. She got it at the hospice she works at and now most of my family is positive. My mom and brother both have pneumonia and now my siblings who live nearby have it because their kids got it at school. I am so angry at anti maskers right now. My state had an incident where some idiots tried to infiltrate the hospital with cameras to “prove” that the beds aren’t full.WTH?

I had a similar situation, My husband and I took over caring for a stray cat, that belonged to my neighbor (only discovered after the fact.). One night the cat came to our house injured, and I took it to the vet's office, and the vet told me that "who pays the vet bill is the owner of the cat!" Eventually, the owner (the neighbor) was terminally ill, and she gave me the cat. I took him and got him fixed, and he is the best and most loyal cat. So, Keith and Becky, I think once you get the cat fixed, some of the loud meowing will settle down, and you may be able to keep it and get it to adjust to being an indoor cat. It might be the best decision, you can make.

You can't always feel the chip! Our cat has one, and it can't be felt, at all. Also, when you feed a cat, it may become confused as to what its home is, so I would really check with neighbors before giving it food. Some cats actually become homeless because people feed them without fully intending to keep them (or like if their other pets don't get along with the new cat and therefore it can't stay). When that shift happens in their minds where they go "oh, I live here now", they don't necessarily understand that they should go back to their original home later if they don't actually get to stay in the new place. According to our government agency for food and animal keeping (Mattilsynet in Norway), at least.
Also many cat's like being outside at night, and inside sleeping during the day. My sister is a very doting cat mom, and her cat is often outside during the night to hunt and play and relax, and then sleeps in their bed all day when they let her in in the morning.
Either way, you're good people for caring about it, but I hope you check so that someone doesn't lose their beloved pet, and that you fully intend to keep it if you do proceed with feeding and caring for it.
And sorry if this sounds strict or nagging (truly not my intention), I also know I don't have all the details, and therefore this might be completely unnecessary of me. I just hear people talk about this kind of thing often and it makes me worry a little as a loving cat mom myself. I really love everything you guys make and wish you all the best!!

I suddenly saw a 'big brown butterfly' and didn't understand why my bf freaked out and ran inside. He started yelling at me to do the same because it was a bat😂
