Beardyman is an OG in beatbox looping. He is king of improvising and genre mashing. Saw him live years ago where he takes suggestions from audiences and makes entire songs based on their input. The set up he is using is called the beardytron 5000 which contains custom programs coded for his workflow.
He is not using the beardytron 5000 anymore, he switched to ableton and lemur a few years ago. Check out his master class if you want the new details. The original beardytron 5000 stuff is 2014 era.
To put it in perspective, Beardyman has been in the looping game since before most of today’s beatboxer’s could drive a car. This man has been a pioneer for years. He has multiple Ted talks (at least one, pretty sure it’s two) about his setup and how he wants to create an instrument of pure expression with his voice.
The way Beardy's setup is designed to essentially let music flow through his body as he would hear it in his head, makes me like to think that's just how he thinks he sounds when he beatboxes normally and that's pretty relatable when you're just beatboxing on your own chilling or going hard or even fuckin about..... or am I a total maniac?
My man, you are the best beatbox reactor. I love how obvious it is that you're genuinely excited for each video and really break down your thoughts. Beardyman is one of my favorite artists and inspirations. Thank you for doing this justice!
Btw, when he plays the keys, he just samples in his voice and then plays his voice with his hands. Cause there's no pre loaded keyboard sound there, he's just using the keys to manipulate a voice sample. I'm FOR IT
The craziest fact in my eye is that the apps on the ipads are self developed. Some years ago the hardware crashed a lot because his apps were too hardware demending. I like your reaction video! Beardyman is really a beast. I wonder why he has "just" 190 k views on the swissbeatbox channel. I think i will come more often here!
Awesome reaction dude, i can see you are a trained music listener and when you mentioned your jazz background i can totally see why. You aren't going to find beardy do battles, he stopped that long ago before he became a looper. These judge showcases show established performers showing what the craft is all about. And in case of beardyman that is indeed live off the brain music creation. Everything since 5:00 was indeed a full improv but just like other loopers he has no synths or samples to help him out. Its all low latency vst's in ableton linked up to lemur morphing his voice. Which gives him the immense flexibility given that means he can control it with his voice but also his other equiment. If you like his stuff definately check out his channel. His one album per hour shows are one of a kind where he literally performs entire songs in real time based on audience suggestion.
Love it, man! Recently stumbled on your channel and I think you’ve become my new fave. Be sure to check out more Beardyman, though. Every set is different as it’s all freestyle!
He is a major inspiration. After seeing his Monkey Jazz video from 11 years ago I went out and bought a pair of Kaoss Pads and started looping and sampling my voice.
bro check out gene shinozaki's showcase in GBBB or CNBC or ABC they all are super awesome no reactor has ever reacted to that, you can be the first🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best part of his showcase is that it's all freestyle! He just makes it up on the spot he's a legend!!

Beardyman is above all others because every time he performs its a journey traveling through atmospheres and emotions and moods...he is perfect

Yep, Good Job, Good Reaction!
His livestreams truly are amazing, and the ways he is innovating his own Ipad software setup is crazy...

21:00 that was a Stephen Hawking impression :p hence "I was right all along- black hole"
Even the voice he did was similar to Stephen Hawking's.

this dude is showing why he deserves to be a loopstation judge. he knows his shit inside and out
I'm pretty sure Saro cites Beardyman as his biggest influence!
Awesome
beardy is the master of loopstation improv
Sam Perry's 2019 showcase my guy!!
SO. MANY. GOOD. REACTIONS. I. SLEEP. PEACE.
Its amazing how he can handle like 8 devices at the same time and make all of that with his mouth
He designed the software that runs that rig. Beardytron 5000. The tablets automatically reconnect if they lose signal.
Something that people unfamiliar with Beardyman miss is that all those keyboard sounds also originate from his voice.
beardyman, the godfather loopstation!!!!
Hey man you need to react to “Inertia/ smoke bullet” I’m sure you’ll like it
Beardyman is a Ledg. Probably one of the 1st to use a loopstation to beatbox with. Been going over 10 years.

Did Beardyman compete in the battles? Feel like he would smash it
Only before he was a looper, he has been the uk beatbox champion of 2006 and 2007 if i recall correctly. After which he started with the kaoss pads.
