I found "sand turtles" (mole crabs) to work well for weke moana because those are one of their favorite foods... I never knew moanas would go for shiny things. I've also been swimming and watched moanas look for food, it's so funny watching them use their whiskers in the sand!
I’m going to Oahu next week and I’ve been watching ur channel for 3 weeks now and watching ur techniques ! I’m pretty positive I’ll catch some fish! I’m a fisherman from northern California but it’s time to do it Hawaiian style!🤘
Solid video my Bruddah-I love how you always take care of your gramma ❤-my grandmother just passed away at 97 years old and she was the original “long pole” Lawai’a of our family-she used to make it look so easy-just like how you do in your vids 👍🏽-I love the kastmaster/shrimp rig-I remember the vid that u invented that setup and caught the Moana on…Did you use that rig to catch all the fish in this vid? I couldn’t tell if the kastmaster was on when you caught the papios at the end? Another Hammah vid-much Aloha 💯🎣🫶🏽
Haha I have dropped my Penn fierces in the water many times. I’ll try clean and grease up the insides, it’ll work, but the reel will never be as smooth. Some reels are more water resistant than others like my Vanford or Spinfisher. Thank you for watching!🤙
Please don’t take this the wrong way but you are targeting Moano. People say Moana because it’s sounds close to the other fish Moana Kali. With our pidgin, it sounds similar. Just wanted to let those not from Hawai’i know what the correct Hawaiian name of this goat fish is.

What size hook you use for your shrimp ?
Were you at Kings Chair the other day
You ever drop your reels in the water when fishing at that spot? If so, do they get permanently ruined?
