Sehr schöne Aussprache. Das Crescendo bei "Als dann vom Tod erwecke mich" hört sich toll an und der Schluss bleibt nachdenklich oder einfach bescheiden. Man kann diesen Choral nicht zweimal gleich singen.
Each earnest face represents some facet of all humanity for all time.The white washed faces could represent being washed white as snow by the Blood of the Lamb---or the masks we put on for those around us. The less conspicuous alto part to me represents the stabilizing power of Jesus within us, while the more soaring bass, tenor, and soprano parts represent the sometimes vehement prayers of the suffering. The quickening tempo and expanding dynamics are physically stirring manifestations of the urgency of the human condition in all eras and places. Bach was anointed by God and I can only imagine his experience in the creation of this astounding chorale. Be blessed every one of you performers and all who watch this. Das historisch genial informierte Gegenstück zu einer "buchstäblichen" Lesart der Noten bietet die Interpretation der Arcis-Vocalisten: Ohne dass die Musik durch die Fermaten zerstückelt würde, beginnt sie geradezu zu fließen - ja, man meint, die Flügelschläge der Engel in den ersten Zeilen hören zu können - und ich denke: So hat Bach es sich vermutlich vorgestellt. Buchstäblich aufrührend wird es ab "Alsdann vom Tod erwecke mich".
Absolutely amazing performance! Together with Gardiner's version this is probably my favorite performance of this magnificent piece of music on youtube. Are you professionals or amateurs? Cheers

Wunderbare Version, unglaublich intensiv, göttliche Musik - das geht ganz tief und ist kaum zu steigern. Für mich die absolut beste Aufnahme.
