Your elevator is missing interactions and can be optimized to only one variable that check the floor by setting a value per floor but i managed to think about it thanks to this video. I just recommend other people to take this as an idea and work further on it to make it work properly as desired.

@@FlowPoly the first control variable on the elevator says floor lobby =floor elevator but later in the video it's just floor lobby=1

You can use screen effects as well as creating a spritesheet in the way you want the character to look drunk
