People say he's not like the rest of us...but he's balding, supports a team from no where near where he lives and enjoys a good pint.
Jokes aside, seems like a genuinely nice fella, I'm not a royalist but I do like Wills and Harry.
I don't know about supporting a club from no where near where he's from. The entire commonwealth is the personal property of his grand mother

I thought William and Harry were brought up in Gloucestershire (when not in London) though so technically Villa were the closest PL team then.

@@doovbaloevera1430 I don't think he'd mind, honestly. Queen Elizabeth is a shy introvert who was home-schooled and essentially isolated from the world. She upholds those royal protocols because it helps her deal with social situations that are far outside her comfort zone.
William had a much more normal upbringing. He went to grammar school, boarding school, and university, where he learned to get along with all sorts of people. Princess Diana also did her best to give him and Harry more normal childhood experiences.
I wouldn't be surprised if Prince William still does casual podcasts and interviews like this even when he's king. He connects well with people, especially when they're around his age and have common interests. Not to mention that the monarchy will have to change with the times at some point, and William seems like he's up to the task.

What IS normal?
Millions upon millions of us in the world... all of us an individual in our own right... with our own strengths and foibles.
William has a personality that is widely appealing, certainly. I like him. But I've always had an affinity for those who have worked as first responders. (Yes... he was an EMS pilot, responding to incidents all over the UK, and actually interacting with the patients during emergencies as a working member of the team.)
He's got the common touch, no doubt.
Harry? He's taken a different path, but not an unworthy one. The man went to war for his country, and put himself in harm's way alongside his countrymen of ALL walks of life. When he got back, he brought something back with him from war... a desire to stand behind those who were injured seriously in combat. Thus the Invictus Games were born.
Everyone seems to forget that... courtesy of media reporting whatever IT wants (in other words, the most salacious headlines lead, and to hell with whatever might be to the good.).
Neither of these men are perfect, NOR SHOULD THEY BE. They're human beings just like the rest of us.
They both had their 'wild times' that were widely reported years ago... much the same as many of us when we were a lot younger and learning how to be adults 'on the job' as it were... since that's really the only way to do it.
They developed as INDIVIDUALS... Of COURSE they'll be different!
Perhaps while we're judging them... (and it's natural that we might all have our own takes on them), maybe we should also leave a bit of room for 'the human factor' and give them room to be human and imperfect like the rest of us? Yeah?
After all... Giving a bit of grace isn't a bad thought. I hardly think either of them are 'evil'. Just different.
For what it's worth, I'd be delighted to welcome William and Kate, or Harry and Megan or both couples to enjoy some southern sweet tea, sitting on my porch, relaxing and talking and letting a quiet afternoon go by, with not a single camera or microphone or reporter to be found for 20 miles.
Despite our wildly different upbringings and life experiences... I'm willing to bet we'd find a lot in common as 5 human beings, stuck on a planet filled with other flawed human beings, trying to live a life worth living.
But... that's just my take on it. :)

Why the Peter Crouch Podcast is so good. Peter sets the tone, the royal guest is totally at ease, the other guys are involved to make it a complete conversation and Crouchy never imposes himself on the chat which makes it feel so natural. Peter Crouch, legend!

As a Villan, I felt quite proud listening to William talk about Villa as I honestly didn't realise he truly had that love! I knew he was a fan and goes to the games, but he really knows Villa!! Top bloke UTV
He knows his stuff football-wise. I think I heard him saying that playing football was one of the few times he gets to feel like a normal person which was interesting.
I like how the game has the potential to bring people together from all walks of life, from the future king to people in far-flung corners of Ethiopia or Cambodia. No other sport has the same reach

I have never really seen this side to HRH Prince William before. I used to believe he was a bit standoffish. However, as I have gotten older, I now realise he is just a little shy but a very genuine person. Well wishes for him and his family. God save the Queen.

I pictured a beautiful Roman Villa with beautiful gardens" Boy is he in for a shock if he ever goes to Villa Park. The stadium is fantastic but the area around it is Aston. He wouldn't want to walk around there at night without a bloody big bodyguard!!

Prince William is going to be a great King because yes he has had a privileged upbringing but he is a really down to earth bloke a typical British man loves his football and a pint.He was playing football the night before his wedding and he genuinely loves the game and has a deep knowledge and understanding of it which is unlike a lot of past F.A President's and members. The Queen is going to be a hard act to follow but I think William along with Kate, who don't forget is a commoner, will be one of our greatest monarchs and I think contrary to opinion will make the monarchy as popular if not more than its ever been.
I remember the night before his wedding, it was on 5 Live and the presenter said none of the opposing players dared tackle him in case they caused an injury.
I'm now a fan of Prince William. Seems like a genuine guy.
