I'm sure multiple people requested this, but I know for sure I sent this one through. She sings in French, Italian and Spanish as well. This is my favourite of hers, that conviction you spoke of, when she gets that little snarl on, just slays me every time. Aboriginal Aussie here and Ive loved Tina Arena since she was a kid. I grew up with her singing and what a mature, sassy and seasoned performer and singer. Im in Chains is my favourite song by Tina. She is so underrated.
Tina also went to live in Paris and while there she learned the French language and recorded some albums in French and had success with this endeavour. She is a truly an amazing creative force that brings so much joy to her many fans. I have followed her musical career from when she was on Young Talent Time and she has never let her fans down .

It’s so good to rediscover the great music that we have had here in Australia through your eyes. These are great classics to us. It’s great to be going on this journey with you in Australian music and appreciate all over again
She is such a perfect performer because "Practice makes perfect" she was a child tv star at 7 yrs old! First as a contestant on "Young talent time" then was invited to be on the show as a regular member of the young talent team. Every week the team members would sing and dance and act.... Not a bad way to start a career spanning 50 years
@ThatSingerReactions Tina Arena is one of my favourite female singers. She's so amazingly talented! I've often sung along to her songs to do my own vocal warm-ups to sing.
Tina is one of my favourite female singers in Australia,, been following her since she was a child on t.v. Her voice has grown so much and become so great with a huge range.
Grew up watching Tina on Young Talent Time… had such a crush on her growing up. It’s ok, my wife knows 😄Still enjoy her music, album “Songs of Love & Loss” is one of my favourite. She grew up not far from where I grew up, and her parents immigrated from the same region in Italy as my Dad. Enjoy watching your reactions, and your appreciation for the talent we have down under. Keep up the good work you do…
Tina was raised during the times when public schools were heavy into musical and singing education and instruction. Kids were given regular lessons in how to play instruments, and vocal performances. We were big on dance too. Le sigh Of course she's got great breath control. It's a big country. You learn to project your voice instead of shouting, and this takes breath control 🇦🇺👍🏿
She was in musical theatre in France of all places (not bad for a Maltese-Australian from suburban Moonee Ponds!), and has been awarded a knighthood of the French National Order Of Merit for her contribution to French culture
I had a big crush on Tina when she was on the young Talent Time in the mid 70s, I have one of her CDs Don't Ask, She's a real talent!! you could almost say she's been one of my stars most of my life!! great video thanks for sharing!!

Another of Tina's songs that is great is Sorrento Moon. Sorrento is a seaside town abiut an hour away from Tina (and my) hometown of Melbourne. She was even awarded a Knighthood of the French National Order of National Merit for her contribution to French culture! Impressive lady!

You should definitely check out her performance of Chains with Jessica Mauboy and The Veronica's live at the ARIA'S, it is amazing. Have been loving your reactions to Australian artists 🥰
Yes one of Australia's best singers, performing on TV since the age of 6 and yes she has performed in musicals both in Australia and London's West End. She was amazing in Evita as Eva Peron. There is a live version of her singing Dont Cry for me Argentina with a huge choir. Proof she is a musical theatre star. She also moved to France for some time not knowing the language but is now fluent and has released several french albums much like celine. Listen to "Aller plus haut". Also look out for her version of The Prayer
Love Tina so much! 💕✨ Us Aussies don't see much of her these days.. I think she moved to Italy? 💕💕 I remember watching her when I was about 4 years old on Young Talent Time. YTT was like the Mickey Mouse Club but the Aussie version... And oh boy was it Aussie 🇦🇺😆 (mullets a plenty). I soooooo wanted to grow up to be like Tina! I'm guessing she would have been about 10 when she started? We’d just got a colour TV 🤣. Totally doxxing mine and her ages here.. But Omg she's my childhood hero! (and probably why I'm a vocalist/ songwriter in a band today). Side note.. I also wanted to be Danni Minogue.. I even died my hair like hers when I was 15 haha. She is Kylie Minogues much more famous (at the time) sister!! 💕
She is living back in Oz now. Not sure of her personal situation with partner and son, but she’s been back here for a few years now. Tremendously successful in Europe where her extraordinary vocals were lauded.
It must be 30 years ago, I took my son and niece to see Tina and David Dickson (from Indecent Obsession) in Joseph's Aamazing Technicolour Dream Coat. It was awesome.
Yes. Tina, is a perfect precedent, as to exactly why, when "singers" approach me, insisting that they can "sing", I can never hand warm fuzzies over to you agreeing that you're a "singer". Because of her benchmark. No delusion. No nepotist helicopter parent telling their kid that they're a singer and I the teacher's assistant having to be compliant to the bullshit. No tyre kicker. I've been a fan of Tina since she was 7 and made her debut on YTT. She got better and better with age but had a lot of trouble getting taken seriously over the years. Right now she's pissed off (and rightly so) that all the music tours are being cancelled due to covid yet sports are allowed to go ahead.
