    Stuff we use:
    LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
    AUDIO
    Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
    Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
    LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
    COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
    EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

    I've been doing this for a 18 years, but as an independent writer-director in the UK, its frustraingly hard because so many companies are investing in garbage stories for TV and Film, it makes me want to give up. They don't rate orginality anymore. Though I've finished 2 feature films, Joston Ramon Theney is an inspiration.

    The anecdote about the rear view mirror was in a 70s comedy called Gumball Rally. Raul Julia's character ripped off his rear view mirror and threw it away. "What's behind me doesn't matter"

    Almost didn't watch this one because I wasn't in the mood to take advice and the title sounded like something I thought I already knew, glad something else told me watch it anyways. "Live your life the way you wanna go out " that's good

    This is a wonderful, exciting and insightful interview. I have just finished viewing it, but my mind is still processing all of the information.
    I have always wanted to make a movie since watching KISS THE GIRLS in a movie theater. I never truly thought that it was possible until Joston Ramon Theney mentioned making a movie for $1,000.00.
    Thank you for this amazing interview. I'm definitely going to watch 44 Inch Chest. I will study the film. ❤

    “I am Negan”. 😩😩😩😩😩😩. It was BRUTAL! TWD was one hell of a show.

    This is what I m talking about. This director / producer / ... explain fully what indy IS / can and should be.

  • @raymondl9320
    @raymondl9320 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For me, I nope'd out of TWD when the characters started shooting at glasses instead of the "punisher" himself who was right in front of them, in the open, as what I'd thought was an extremely dumb, illogical, and poorly executed attempt at prolonging the show. They choose quantity over quality. And that's what I thought what "the worst you can do to your characters" he will say.
    Good interview! The part where he says "I gotta get up and start writing this idea down" is so dang relatable!

    What did you learn?

    • @albertabramson3157
      @albertabramson3157 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The need to make so many failures before creating a success that reaches a large audience. I learned about TUBI and Film Hub and how the indy market had changed so much.

      I have room in my life for Plan A only. I can make a movie for $1,000.00. My only competition is me. Passion and drive will take me to the finish line. Work on my craft. Own my right. Value other people. Be useful to the group...

    Appreciate the interview respect, can not for 1 second agree about walking dead though the Negan sequence was one of the best sequences to ever be made especially on top of what the series had already achieved earlier, the only issue is there was nowhere to take it after that. What could top Negan? An oligarch? I feel like Negans subtext was oligarchal the way he broke Rick down was mad.
