- Recording of an online meeting of the Water Use Advisory Council hosted by EGLE on 11/12/24. The Water Use Advisory Council is a stakeholder group mandated by Part 328, Aquifer Protection, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (NREPA). The purpose of the Water Use Advisory Council is to provide EGLE and the legislature with recommendations about how to improve the Water Use Program that EGLE administers under Part 327, Great Lakes Protection, of the NREPA. The council membership represents a diverse spectrum of water use program stakeholders, including local, state, and federal government agencies, agriculture, industry, public water supplies, environmental and natural resource organizations, watershed councils, well drillers, university researchers, and other interested parties. Time is reserved in each council meeting for public comment on meeting agenda items and other topics.
