Darius is a fine southern gentlemen, with a gift that he unselfishly shares with us. Music and creativity brings people together across states, countries, genders, races, religions ect. I look at him and I don’t see color I see art and generosity. He is a great story teller in his music and in my opinion has put some country back in country music. Home grown Georgia here.

No one has Darius Rucker's sound. So recognizable, and uniquely country. I love him still when he was Hootie and the Blowfish. Great songs! Now, he is southern silk with a perfect amount of grit. He is so talented. I love his music!

I love how Darius has this Southern pride, but at the same time when he was Hootie he released a song against the Confederate flag which is the symbol of the South. I wonder how he feels about the flag today cause it means so much to so many of his fans like myself who am a proud Southerner. It is a symbol of who we are. It does NOT represent slavery to us and we are proud of it because it represents our part of the country and our culture.

I always thought Don Williams was the lone country singer there was but recently discovered Darius, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and a host of others. And I am Black! (for those who must make it all about race haha)

Love how this video takes me back to spending summers as a kid in the “low country”. Those beach days were the best. Mr. Rucker’s sweet baritone voice always hits like warm honey. Love it!!

I am from the south and love country music! I also like Lil Wayne, Lynard Skynard, Janis Joplin, 2 Chain, the list goes on and on. Just because I'm southern doesn't mean I don't like other music. I have a cd (yes I still listen to CD's 😃) in my car right now...the first song is Alan Jackson and the second song is Snoop Dogg.
