    Great simple explanation to DWDM Technology. Thanks for sharing. BTW, I wanna know what is the maximum capacity per channel in India in DWDM Network?

      In India with DWDM, different channels that I know are 5GBPS, 10GBPS, 20GBPS and 40GBPS.

      In terms of frequency spacing, it is there with 40 channels and frequency spacing 100 GHz, it is there with 80 channels and frquency spacing 50 GHz and also with 160 channels with frequency spacing of 25 GHz.

    buddy, first of all, great video, i have a question. If i wanted to implement a DWDM optical transport network to transport data over 200 Km and put a shelter for the network equipment every 50 km or so, what would be the best choice regarding SFP Tranceivers? . I think it would BIDI 80 km but i'm not sure about the appropiate data transfer rate. Could you help me?

    Correction: SM can go upto 70km not 500m

      When you are MUXing adn DEMUXing multiple wavelengths you limiting the distance because of attenuation. A single wavelength can go 70km. This is the whole purpose of DWDM, it allows for multiple wavelengths one one fiber using signal amplifiers and sensitive receivers to achieve further distances and retain the benefits of MUX/DEMUX.
