A question on 3:20 passthrough channel connecting East Filter x port with west filter x port. Q1: Do you mean East Filter x port can be directly patched with West Filter x port to pass through the specific frequency / Channel. Q2: How will you passthrough in case there are only 10 channel is dropped from East filter and 10 Channel dropped from west filter. And how you going to passthrough (rest of all passthrough channel i,e, 44-10=34 channels) from East to West. Q3: is there a way to connect East Filter passthrough port with west filter passthrough port to avoid multiple patching ?
You told WSS 9X1 Card . Only one output and 9 input which we can use cross connect or add drop. How it connected from east WSS card to West WSS card, is there any other port, please reply
Nice, i have a doubt. For pass through signal, in direction deepndent architecture...when we can give pass through out from WSS then why not in the opposite direction take the input on 1st combiner itself rather adding pass through in at 3rd combiner??
Im new to this technology, so I hope this isnt a dumb question. Why is the filter needed between the WSS and the transponder? If the WSS if singling a wavelength out and forwarding it out a port, what is the filter doing? Is the port that has the filter have the full spectrum passing thru?
Want to know, If we are using E-WSS one time Fibre to S-WSS then why we have to use one time fibre when WSS is applicable for any kind of transfer from the port. E-WSS connected to W-WSS and S-WSS with One time Fibre... Could you please elaborate!

Really very helpful video. Thanks for sharing. Nicely explained.
Thanks hope you liked it
Thanks for sharing, great insight on WSS network, to achieve network flexibility and also support Optical and Electrical automatic switching

Great Sir. !!👍
Thanks for your feedback
excellent animation and explanation..

Thanks for your sharing
My pleasure

Between 2 WSS( east to west ) there is thru port connectivity to pass through the signal..
Thank you so much for your information
Sir, Can you suggest a research problem related to ROADM, WSS and
AWG in a metro network.
Grat Video!

that's how the card architecture build for WSS
Very great explanation

No monitoring without filter
It is actually Mux/DMux so you can add drop more than one wavelengths from same station.
Good concept
thanks

E-WSS connected to W-WSS and S-WSS with One time Fibre...
Could you please elaborate!
Great video
Thanks for your feedback
To convert 4 degree direction dependent ROADM directionless, do we need to add only one extra WSS ?
Great explanation
Thanks Harvinder 😀
Thanks for this video .. its help me a lot
keep going and share more knowledges.
Thanks hope you liked it sure will do
Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very well
Thanks hope you liked it
Informative 👍
good
Can you please share this animation
Thanks Sir! This vedio is very helpful. I would know about ASON works priciple can you make it and sharing.

How a bout ROADM vs FOADM
Sure will add
Colourless & contention less give example (CDC Concept)
Sure i will
Difference between CDC and ROADM.
Bad audio!!!
