    we've been using in-ears for rehearsal for the last 3 years, really cheap setup with a 4-channel headphone amp, long cables and some cheap 30$ sennheiser in-ears (which reduce a surprising amount of outside noise). guitar amps miced and paned left and right, bass into the mixer through DI, and then the mixer into the headphone amp. doesn't sound amazing but you can hear everyone loud and clear without having to turn up the amps at all. I honestly never wanna play without IEM, at least for rehearsal.

    Nice setup! Love your music, maybe even more then *khm* that other project *khm* ;-) Here is my suggestion for hooking up Rabea: DI BOX PALMER PDI 09 is about €90, very convenient and robust solution, any amp head goes in, then through to speaker and XLR to your mixer.

    When you use your sound tech, and he gives you a single XLR, so you get parallel mono in both ears, or does it only come through one side?

    • @MrMeecles
      @MrMeecles ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely mono in both ears the way the 402 works
      Instead of pan pots it's got a button that changes the between 2 mono and 2 hard panned stereo channels

    When i use the emulated xlr output of a Guitar amp and connect it to the mixer, do i have to press the instrument switch in?

    Hey Ben! I was just wondering how you only have one XLR for your whole feed even when you mic up your kit? Thanks!

    Hey, How do you monitor your own drum sound when you aren't getting the single feed from front of house? Is it just a case of running the in ears at a level where you can still hear the drums over the top? Thanks

      I'd also like to know, just for kicks really. My in-ears start with my bass drum and snare, and everything else is basically just a nice bonus. Of course the setup is most useful when I can hear the whole band nicely balanced, but the reason I got in-ears was to be able to better hear and keep time of the beat and backbeat. Yours seems focused more on hearing the rest of the band, and I wonder how you feel this benefits you as opposed to hearing yourself over the others?
