Isaiah 40:1-4- Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your GOD. Speak ye comfotably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our GOD. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.
You probably aren't aware of the inanity and racism of your comment. This talented singer is an American college student who has probably never been to Africa. Everyone's ancestors lived somewhere. Would you want credit for your achievements to be given to medieval peasants pushing a plow across the Brabant?
@@RichardBeattie007 i have heard this piece many times and it is very hard to understand every word , but your singing made everything crystal clear . Good luck for your future career .
I think there was some trouble with pitch in places. But what a lovely voice. Yes! Continue with your studies!!! Hope to hear much more from you in the future.
It seems you have a nice voice but you are singing on a mic which defeats the purpose of being a classical trained singer and with lots of weird sounds due to constriction too. I don't know how many years have you been singing but you should wait to sing this repertoir till your voice is better built (you still dont have coloratura for example so no arias with coloraturas for you for now). I don't mean it in a mean way but we need to be sincere with each other so we can grow. You should change university although I don't know where you could go to learn proper technique... Im sorry
First performed on 13 April 1742 for a six day sold out St. Andrew's, Dublin. .. For charity ! And: So that the largest possible audience could be admitted to the concert, gentlemen were requested to remove their swords, and ladies were asked not to wear hoops in their dresses :)
You were nice. The piano was bit slow. But maybe that was to help you. Its a difficult piece so i can imagine how nervous you were. But you were lovely. Just try not to go into that R&B voice style with Handel. Haha. I hear you wanting to in parts- but RESISTT. HAHA. BAROQUE music is very strict. But well done young tenor. You have a lovely rich voice. Im sure now you are singing even more wonderfully. We'll see you at the Met yet and youll be my competition. Haha. Nice. ❤
@michaelfalsia6062 The last part of your comment was most gratifying; however, why doesn't "cultural appropriation" come to mind when white Americans who are not of German-British extract, Japanese, Chinese, Indigenous Americans, Indians of India, Irish, Ukrainian, Russian, etc. perform arias and/or excerpts from the Messiah? Maybe it does? If not perhaps you have something hideous inside struggling to free itself? Not offended but wrote to provoke thought on your part. :)
A good voice .well done he had a lot of competition ,there was too much movement in the back ground people fiddling about with their copies distracting ,,and the accompaniment wasn't the best .
Wow - what a voice and a fine performance. Brilliant!
Much appreciated
What a marvelous voice!!!
Thank you for listening...and commenting!
Vivian Crawford-Jamaica: To the glory of God. Thank you.
Very kind of you to watch and comment!
I hope to hear a lot more from him. That voice should be in the Met.
Wow! Thanks.
I agree!!
The Met’s approval isn’t worth having. It’s all politics and connections.
Oh !
This is one of the best tenor in Messiah
I heard 👂 ever😇
🎉 Thank you for listening!

Thank you, thank you!
Nice!
😇 thanks for listening
This is the most beautiful tenor I have heard ever. However, sometimes he is a bit flat. (I was born with a ridiculously sensitive perfect pitch).
He is young and still improving. Thanks so much for listening and commenting
definitely beautiful voice. definitely flawed. needs much coaching in every area. the gift is apparent. now comes the heavy lifting.
Yes, that is why he is a student. Thanks for listening

Cultural appropriation? Or just God-given talent and appreciation for what is beautiful? I choose the latter rather than the former!
that is much appreciated

MOstly, he is our of tune!
"our of tune"???
Lots of intonation issues due to fear
Most probably due to youth and inexperience
Too many unnecessary breath taking that cut the musical phrase.
He's a student! Give him some scratch, please. It's a great voice!
Everyone is a critic! (Whether or not they are qualified to do so!)
It’s okay. I didn’t what I could. Keep in mind I sang pretty much a full concert where I had numerous solos. I did great. STANDING OVATION!
When are you going to post your flawless performance of this or any piece of music?
