That's an ingenious design that allows attachment of a luggage set without needing pre-installed luggage racks. This will allow you to pack some of your heavier items low in the side bags. The waterproof inner bags would be almost mandatory, I would think. Nice.
Looks like an excellent setup! When I have to push fasteners through something similar to the top plate like you have there, I usually use a c clamp and a socket on one side. Happy riding Ben!
Ben I really enjoy your channel irregardless of KLR or not lol. Your stuff is always great and informative your how toos are awesome keep up the great work brother 👊
Great video I like seeing new ways to put luggage on a bike that is not made to put luggage on I get good information from you and Rocky Mountain ATV You Guys are great 👍 Please Keep It Up,

Right?! I sure don't miss the days when I rode around on my first dual sport and didn't even have enough storage room for a water bottle lol.

Hmm, that is a great idea! Thanks you too!
Can't forget the fishing gear.......nice, I was looking at those bags....I'll most likely get a set... appreciate the video...
Haha yeah we always try to bring it, only got to use it once this year though I think. Better to have it and not need it though I suppose!
Am I the only one who just wants to see the Sherpa from a bunch of angles?
Haha it is an interesting looking bike!
I’m think the green / gold combo on the super sherpas is gorgeous.
love the rackless system on the small bikes. I use hard around town, cause they lock and pilots for off road.
Me too! Hard cases are definitely much better for security reasons, I do miss that.

Thanks Mike!!!
That’s what I call FUN right there. Small bikes, off roading, toting the fishing gear.👍🤙
Yeah man!
My Tusk saddlebags are coming in within a week for my DR650. Thank you for the review, it helped me make my decision :-)
I'm glad to hear that! Thanks!!!
Really nice setup for any rig of smaller size.
Yeah definitely! Good to see there are options for the lighter dual sports!

Nice system for sure! Thank you.
Heck yeah!
My God. I literally almost bought this bike as my first bike.
Bought a klr250 instead. Literally became a bike mechanic because of it though. 😮
I’m hoping that Santa brings me some Tusk Bags this year..
Haha 🤣
Ran these bags on my Drz to run all over upper michigan this season🤙
Nice!

Do you think the Highland x2 will work well with the DR650? I have a Tusk top rack on my bike. Enjoy your vids , keep it up
Thank you.
Do you happen to know what jet sizes your running in the sherpa?
No sorry, we've never had the carb apart on it.
Are those the small or extra-small sized Tusk Excursion bags?
22L top and 15L each side. You can opt to use a larger top (I have a 44L in addition to the 22L).
