- Some folks insist that we won't get mansions in heaven because the Greek word in John 14:2, μονή (monē), means dwelling or even room. But this overlooks two things. One, the Greek is a generic term for abode which depends on its context and the nature of the case to determine the style and grandeur of the abode. Two, the Giver in this context is the amazing God himself whose gift of a home must match his gift of the glorious city and his gift of eternal salvation.

@@tracycameron2580the beauty of heaven. We don’t have to upkeep our mansion. Our animals never die, no foul thing enters heaven, no moth nor dust doth corrupt. I want my own personal zoo/aquarium/ museum that I will use for the glory of God and I can easily fulfill my work God has for me while enjoying it lol. I’m not being silly either. This is a very realistic scenario in our eternal home.

honestly im not even worried about what my dwelling place looks like. i love that He is preparing a place for me, but I also know that whatever it will look like - it'll be greater than anything i can anticipate. Paul quoted the prophecy that eye hasn't seen nor ear heard the things God has prepared for us. So there's no way to know, but if the glory we now have and the provision He now gives is dwarfed by that - then it will indeed be an amazing thing to see.
All we need to know is there will be only great happiness, all the time. No negativity or disappointment allowed in Heaven.
Agree! Your response was the best. Likewise, I just want to get into Heaven. God's in charge and anything he gives me will be just fine. Besides, the focus should be not on creature comforts, but on being the new creature in Christ which is where our real happiness lies.

I like the TH-cam channel Repoman64, in his dream, he said if it was from the Lord, he thinks it was, went a bit like this: He saw the interior of this mansion and explored its various floors. He went out the FRONT DOOR and he saw his palatial estate with the mountains and trees. He said it did not matter if his friends mansion was a few thousand miles away to visit, because of the BACK DOOR. He said the back doors are connected to a corridor that was in a big hallway next to other doors a couple feet away. In this central area, each door led to another persons mansion estate. The central area by these doors was a common social area.
So BOTH interpretations were correct. He said it was like a corridor of dorm rooms or motel rooms packed close together, but when you enter one door vs another, each took you to a custom mansions estate at its back door. Whether it was on a sea shore, tropical island,mountain lake in a particular season, each was unique. So the interior space between the doors outside, was many times smaller than the HUGE ESTATES stretching as far as the eyes could see once you entered that mansions back door. Basically the door acted like a gateway or portal to wherever it was located. And each believer had their own door, but their loved ones back door was close to their mansions back door. So you can equally be both near( socializing) and far from them ( privacy) at the same time.

A recent hobby of mine is looking up mansions and yachts to see what my taste are for interior decorations of what I would like for my Heavenly Mansion to have. It’s amazing when you see one, you think that you would like them all, you don’t. Surprisingly you learn quickly what taste and styles you like and don’t like. Think of that like window shopping at a store with God noting all your likes and dislikes, and He gives us a budget that has a blank check with no limits. So hop on TH-cam and pass a bit of time DISCOVERING what you like and dislike. Remember, the Lord is aware, but you are learning. So have a little bit of fun. For starters, an acre is about 39,000square feet or so. Search for mansions that size and start taking notes😂🎉. See ya there!

I believe I got a glimpse of my mansion in a dream. I had a huge picture window looking out on God's beautiful creation and all my loved ones were with me.

Thank you Brother Lee for a awesome study. I love studying the Holy Bible and I am still learning. I have heard some talk about a room vs Mansion. The Bible describes in Revelation 21 the new Jerusalem and talks about the city being pure gold it being clear as glass (Rev. 21: 18). The people who go into the city are the ones written in the Lamb’s book of life (Rev. 21:27). Jesus has prepared a place for His Bride and I am grateful because it sounds so beautiful. My imagination could not be accurate because of the purity of gold, stone, and magnificent size of materials used. Excitement and waiting patiently for Jesus. 🙌❤️🙏

I used to dream of having a stream in the back yard. I have that stream now and what a pain in the neck it is. When we get rid of one rat you can be sure another one will eventually appear. The heron has cleared every minnow or perhaps they were killed by pollution . And we have to monitor it all the time in case it gets blocked with leaves and branches and starts to back up. Which goes to show that almost everything in this fallen world is disappointing. But the Lord Jesus never disappoints! Thank you for this wonderful teaching.

Thank you for this encouraging video on a wonderful subject that most do not talk about. I always thought the idea of a room for all eternity did not fit along with everything else that's mentioned about the eternal experience. I'm looking forward to the rapture and eternity where everything will be perfection, so different from this world that it's hard to imagine. Having the idea of a dwelling place broken down like it was is very comforting.

I personally believe, God will give you exactly what it is you want and like according to each of their own. He gives accordingly and does not lack. He is perfect, in every gift of his is perfect. I cannot wait, Amen.

For example, I dream of some kind of eco-friendly ranch living or farmhouse, animals and horses around, greenhouse gardening and a nice place near a sweetwater lake or stream to do water sports and go fishing, a huge guesthouse and shadowed patio to celebrate and gather with friends quite often! Considering I have quite the training on living in the woods with little to nothing (sere school and survival and bushcraft training), I frankly, like another person said, do not need a mansion-mansion at all. I can not only survive okay but even thrive that way. In summer I need nothing but the clothes on my back, if that, no tools or kit at all in most of sub 67⁰N.
That said I frankly think their context AND thinking is WAYYYY off. And their idea of (a) how good and (b) how gracious and (c) how limitless God is, is far off whom God truly is! Thus it HAS to be a huge home. A temporary dwelling. A mansion, even new bodies in Greek all fit. But I truly think it will be amazing, beyond what we can know. Why? Paul said it would be a sin to even try and describe heaven and it's vastness and likeness. That alone nails it!
I have seen references elsewhere in scripture he "hides us in the secret places (plural) of his pavilion," aka the secret temple chambers elsewhere. In heaven the temple is just HUUUUUUGE according to scripture. To even hold 100 million angels, or billions of people it would have to be otherworldly.
Any which way, GOD WILL PROVIDE. That is key. His solemn promise to us many times. Pre-Trib is still true whether they like it or not. God don't lie. God is greater than we all, even combined, can think. Again they know not how gracious and loving he is to us. "Exceedingly" is the word often translated for it, which isn't enough of a word even in my book. God is that great!
TBT I have been in a couple of mega mansions in my life and been in just awe of what some own (people whom collect Rolls Royces even) and think and even deep down know it will be better than *_ANY_* of those. No contest with *_MY_* God. Capital G.

My kids often talk of what is in thier mansions in heaven. My daughter specifically talks about how she has a water slide 🤣 I am happy with whatever but I believe it will be beyond our thoughts as scripture says.
I do not want a mansion a little house with large windows with veiws will do me surrounded by an amazingly beautiful garden with an abudantly productive food garden.
But Gods grace is enough for me. 🙏✝️
